Stunning location at the top of the village, one of the highest in the Sierra Nevadas, at 1700 metres. This hotel was converted from self-contained apartments, so the bedrooms are located in a couple of blocks separate from the reception/bar/lounge area. You have to go outside and hike up a steep (but short) path to get to them. The swimming pool and terrace above it looked inviting, but when we wee there (Easter 2012) it was snowing! so we were not inclinded to take advantage. The rooms were well heated, a big advantage given the weather. Our room also had a small balcony although that, too, remained unused. We were disappointed in the restaurant. When we were there they were feeding a bus party with a buffet. We were offered a choice of the buffet or a la carte, We chose the latter and have no complaints but it was not exclusive dining by any means. Similarly, at the buffet breakfast (included) the bus party had scoffed most of the food and the, usually excellent, Spanish "cafe solo" was not available. We had to make do with expresso coffee out of a self-service machine. Nescafe with froth on top - 'nuff said.

We arrived at the Finca hot, sweaty and tired. The swimming pool and patio area was an oasis on a very hot and dry day. Our first evening was enchanting. Our second day was heartbreaking as we received word that a relative had died at home. The woman at the desk was incredible. She spoke very little English and I spoke very little Spanish but she did all she could do to help us reach Granada so we could fly home. I will be forever grateful for the kindness of this woman. We plan on resuming our trip one day and we will begin at Finca Los Llanos.

The location, high up on Sierra Nevada is stunning, with panoramic views of the mountains. As a 3 Star hotel, the standards are at a good level and very adequate. The swimming pool and sun terrace were perfect and just the place to relax after a day in the mountains. The reception staff were very helpful on advice of activities and had adequate English. The value for money in accommodation and food was very good. While the accommodation was adequate, it would benefit from updating. The ventilation in the bathroom was poor and should be addressed urgently.

The helpfulness of the staff in reception who were very knowledeable regarding walking in the area. We got up late on our first morning but they were still happy to serve us some breakfast eventhough it was finished. We requested a room with a view of the mountains and they took note of this. The hotel is well situated on the top of the village so is fairly quiet with good views but within walking distance of the bars and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others. We were fortunate to have a room with a wonderful view as we were on the fist floor level but rooms on the ground floor would have been disappointing in comparison as many did not have views.

Kind staff, good location for walking in the mountains, nice view to the mountains, the hotel has its own outdoor swimming-pool (although we did not use it due to the chilly weather). There was no possibility to regulate/switch on heating, although it was rather cold in the bathroom.

Clean room, lovely view across the valley, peaceful. Very good buffet breakfast included in the rate, and a good value buffet evening meal. (the restaurant had a more expensive menu choice available if required). We got from a very obliging reception member some excellent information and maps on the local walks around the hills, of which there are a great number. Our double room consisted of two single beds pushed together. Also each bed was fitted with a plastic-lined underblanket which we removed for the duration of our stay. No English language TV channels (only Spanish).
