Flash Hotel Benidorm    

We liked the hotel, it's design, good sized room and clean, receptionists professional, waiting staff professional and good location.

We were not keen on the Sunday evening meal, too bland, and really not enough choice. Basic but good. Breakfast was good, everything to choose from but no porridge!!

Very modern and new. Bar area super with good entertainment. Happy hour ok but only on selected drinks.

Being on 1st floor seemed to get all debris blown onto our patio, not nice !

THe hotel was clean, rooms spacious. Food was good

Stunning hotel which has been newly refurbished. Nine ladies stayed in 3 twin rooms. More than enough space and very clean.

The location was excellent for all the amenities in Benidorm, facilities at the hotel were good. The food at the restaurant was excellent, way above what we expected, would definitely stay there again.

The Location

Staff were unhelpful and reminded us that we had paid less than normal. The first room they offered us was in a bad location and the balcony was dirty. The food was ok, but not 4 star.

When booking in and going into my room, there was no information about the hotel or surroundings. I didn't realise there was a gym and sauna until 2 days into my visit. Also there was no information re room service, I received the information after asking twice at the reception, again this took 2 days into my vacation.

The room was excellent with good size beds, tv etc. The hotel is friendly and clean and is in a good position for the shops and bars.

The staff are very good in all areas ,particularly william in the bar .

The dinig room is too small at busy times ,we were asled to leave the dining area befpore we finished our meal ,that is not good enough even though we did get a complimentary bottle of cava,it advertises an indoor pool which is not in the hotel and only open a few hours a day in an hotel 100 yards away ,the gym may as well not be there it is useless

no tea or coffee making equipment in the room. view from rooms was poor everything looked scruffy and run down, bar was closed at 1AM so when we got back to the hotel after going to the Benidorm Palace had to go out to get a drink.Breakfast was average,not four star quality,didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on it or the food served

Organisation at booking was awful, no tea/coffee in rooms and no sparkling wine at breakfast. Happy hour was a waste as it only extended to pints and not shorts.

Hotel was very modern and clean, friendly staff, good choice of food, although sometimes a little cold. It is a good location for the nightlife of Benidorm. We would stay there again at the drop of a hat! A very enjoyable 4 days.

no tea making facilities in the room is the only thing i wish was there apart from that everthing else was to a very high standard

On arrival, great check in with chap called Alex, efficent and welcoming, on to the room, double room for two women we come into benidorm to get our hair cut in Hepburns (indoor market) we book a different hotel to test areas and have night out, usually around rincon area as easy to get around bars, this hotel was within easy walking distance if you want to be near lively bars and clubs, good idea if you are on a hen night then if any of the girls can't stay the pace of the night they can easily get back to this hotel as its not a nice idea a solo femail getting into taxi alone (especially with a drink on them). Lifts don't hold many but wasn't problem to us but could be in the busy summer months I will know more on summer visits.Rooms size are okay, and lights nice and modern, there is no decor on walls which I loved I hate all those old dingy/gaudy pictures some hotels put up which I'm sure is so you wont pinch them (as if we are desperate, Bedding was sheets and pillowcases matched lovely quality, blankets in room, I live permanently in Spain and at this time of year it can be cool, in evenings, television had itv, in English, mini bar in room, we had nice sea view which we hadn't requested, I dont smoke but did notice ashtrays on balcolny which is good for those who do smoke outside. Bathrooms was spotless clean, good bright lights to put make up on, nothing worse than putting it on in dark going out and looking like a clown, or the men dripping in blood from razor cuts. Towels soft and clean. Dining room okay I was worried it would be so small from past reviews but think the management have done something about it. Lets face it you go in eat and leave, if you want to wine and dine you would go to a restaurant, I imagine in the busy times they will have two meal sittings to free up seating areas. As for food see what I didn't like section!

Now for the bad bits, I was really nervous booking this hotel due to the bad reviews, every 6 weeks I passed to the indoor market for usual haircut, and saw this hotel being rebuilt, and wondered what it would be like, well the food is really dreadful, I really can't find words to describe it,every meal was bad, it wasn't Spanish or English they really need a review on the kitchen, and I do think this will happen, as the manager did ask our opinon on leaving the hotel,waiter and waitress perfect all plates moved rapidly.The dining room could do with some wall decor, and the american elevator music nearly sends you into a trance. Our room fridge was spotless but had a strange tub of tomato chutney in it, obviously this was from previous guest who also hated the food and had a take a way indian curry, should of been checked by maid. The English singer in the leprachaun suit could do with calming it down a bit as hes not a bad entertainer, you dont have to pay for the man to sing, if you dont like him go to Las Vegas for a top of the bill.I Do agree if your wanting a classy establishment this could do with dropping but I expect it's a marketing ploy you walk past and can't fail to notice the joint. Thats my only grip, some people to expect to pay little money and want the Ritz Carlton!
