Hospitality of the staff was first class. Location great - pity there's no parking but it is the old town after all. We'll be back at Xmas 2014

Hard to reach by bike (stairs). Very small bathroom.

Lovely place with many neat, clean, bright rooms and great balconies for views. Fantastic location for walking everywhere. Helpful staff and nice breakfast. So close to the beach and historic sites.

Actually we loved the location on 'NO Vehicle' roads and up a set of stone stairs. Be warned that you must find parking and walk a few blocks to the hotel. It's not a problem, y vale la pena, just don't try to squeeze your car down those streets!

This hostel was very good value for money, as it is right in the small old town of Tossa and the hostel was lovely. It seemed to be run by just the one owner, and he works very hard to make sure everything is clean etc. Nothing fancy, but it had wifi, 2 free computers to use, our private room had a small bathroom (which we weren't expecting) and the breakfast is a surprisingly good continental breakfast.

Good location in old part of town and ideal for a short break. Excellent value for money and includes a good breakfast. Friendly staff.

Showers were very small and you had to hold the shower hose as wall fittings didn't enable you to correctly direct the water flow. Would also have liked bigger rooms but no real complaints given the price, location etc.

    The location.

It was really, really cold, both the room and the rest of the building. Very poor decoration = none. Poor breakfast.

Location near the sea cost, inside of the historical town. Price offer of the low season. If used for 1 night and 1 person, ok, for longer stay very problematic.

Unfortunatelly, very very small room and symbolic shower/toilet. Bad heating system, at midnight stop, no heating in the breakfast room, everywehere cold. No access by car - in the final stairs. Plastic cover of the bed - like in a hospital!

I hear sea at any moment, see the mountains and midcentury city. It's so exciting!

The location in the old city is so beautiful. They have 2 terraces with the best views of the ocean and castle. The breakfast was good.

There were thousands of teeny tiny ants in our room. They ate my cookies & I had to throw the rest out.

As there was no wifi in room the manager was helpful navigating us through their complex code to access internet on i-phone in lobby area. There is a computer there to for use free too. As many hotels now charge 8-10 euros for breakfast it was nice to get it free there in the morning. They speak English.

Hard to lug cases up narrow passages trying to find hotel (though understandable that Medieval part of city was not designed with motorcars in mind!). What was surely not understandable was the shape of the room we were offered (imagine a rectangular bed in a wedge-shaped enclosure with hardly enough space to pass your kneecap between the bed corner and rough plaster wall). Sink needed wiping down and plastic cups may have been new when Travolta strutted disco. Complaint to manager resulted in normal shaped room offered, but still faded and in need of refurbishment. At least the radiators were working well as it was past mid November, but no tv, except in lobby.

    Location. Roof terrace.

Tiny room. Couldn't sit in toilet properly as room so small. Mean with food at breakfast - didn't keep things topped up.

The hotel was small and friendly, although we only stayed one night and didn't get a chance to really speak to the owners, we are planning to return. It was quiet, it was just outside the village centre, with excellent views of the sea and the old village. It was beautifully clean and the breakfast and value for money were excellent. Iwouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone on a budget. Its not luxurious, no aircon, no tele and a bit difficult to get cases to but if you don't care about those things then it was almost perfect.

I liked my room on the 3rd/4th floor, with the balcony overlooking the beautiful town and the Castle, the hospitality, home-made croissants for breakfast. The location couldn't be better.
