Carlos very helpful
Location, near to metro and attractions
pillow was bait too flat for comfort. room was located next to street hence noisy till wee hours
staff were very helpful arranging a early morning call and ordering taxi to airport.breakfast was excellent with a good range of choice.
Excellent location close to Sol and Plaza Mayor. Very good modern rooms. Good value breakfast.
My room facing the street was noisy all night and there were church bells at 6am which woke me. So not for light sleepers.
Reception desk a bit old.
Easy access tourist activities. Nice room.
Noisy on street side and easy to hear neighbors in room next door.
Location, location, location. The hotel is right in the middle, walking distance in both directions to the Palacio and the Prado and a mere stroll to Sol, Plaza Major and of course Santa Ana for food and drinks. It was nice to be in a pedestrian area with a variety of shops, touristy and otherwise all around. As for the hotel itself, although not 4 or 5 star in terms of luxuries (nor does it claim to be), we had a nice big airy room for the 3 of us, with a good strong shower (always important in my mind). Also, a variety of options for breakfast, and plenty of everything - much more than we expected for such a hotel. Couldn't fault anything!
Friendly staff, comfortable and smart rooms. Decent breakfast. Great central position but see " what didn't you like"
Downside of central position in city is the constant noise in the street. The windows could be better to help cut out more noise. It didn't seem to make any difference if they were open or closed. It was a second visit for us and we didn't remember such disturbance on during the previous stay.
Locality of Hotel. Friendly Staff. clean and comfortable rooms what more can you ask for.
no complaints from me
the location couldn't be better.at the city centre close to everything!value for money very good breakfast.
the only thing is the noice because it is in the centre of a very busy street.
Location Cleanliness Facilities
Good location, very nice room and bathroom
The location is great. It is so close to del sol which is the most touristical place in Madrid.
Unhelpfull hotel staff
Position in the center of Madrid Nice breakfast Pretty and modern rooms
Chose this hotel! I never stayed at such a comfortable and excellent two-star hotel. Could easily have been 3 star or more. Excellent breakfast. Renovating and upgrading the hotel is done with absolutely no inconvenience and all consideration to the guests. Im afraid though, that the price will rise when finishing the rebuilding. Situated in the middle of a walking street - between the opera/royal palace and Pl. Sol, you wont get a much better location. Again; chose this hotel - you wont regret it!
A localização não poderia ser melhor. O wifi era perfeito e o staff era bem simpático. Location couldn't be better. Wifi was perfect and the staff was really nice.
A cama. A cama de casal deles são duas de solteiro juntas. E é meio dura. Pra mim que gosto de cama macia não era boa mas tem quem goste. The bed. The bed was hard and the double bed was two twins put together.
Location! Yes you have the metro but I suggest you walk to places to see the beautiful city Madrid! Room is big, facing the main street so love seeing Spanish people walking all day!
This hotel has stairs to the reception as well as to the lifts so for those who have a heavy luggage might find it a bit annoying.
In the city center, close to everywhere
I stayed at 2nd floor and street noise was completely in the room
The hotel is located on the main street between Sol and Opera. Nice tapas restaurants and cafés nearby. The room was modern and clean. The breakfast was also good.
Noise from the street at night.
Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and spoke enough English to communicate with us. The included breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of items. Great location on a pedestrian only street filled with restaurants and shops. Close to both the Opera and Sol metro stations. Just minutes to walk to Gran Via or Plaza Mayor..
Steps to the elevator....especially after a long day of walking Madrid.
We enjoyed the location of the hotel, staff was very helpfull, the room were clean. However, I was last year on business trip (for a two nights stays) and had a renovated room. This year I came back with my wife on holidays and stayed 5 nights, unfortunatly we had a room which has not been renovated and I was a bit dispointed. At last, breakfast has improved since last year.
Location: very close to all important points to be visited.
The hotel is under civil works during the day. The Arenal street is noisy all day long also at night, therefore it is not possible to keep the window opendue to wheather and the AC doesn't works well.
- big room - good location - good breakfast - clean
- our room's window view (we have a discounted offer - maybe that was the reason we got room without a street view)
i went to 6 hotels on my trip this is by far the best one you cannot imagine that its only a two star hotel everything was perfect
Very good breakfasts and a great variety on offer, good spacious and clean room with good air con, friendly and pleasant cleaning and breakfast staff and a superb location. It should really be a 3 star hotel so it was excellent value for money.
There was a fair bit of noise at night, being on a busy pedestrian thoroughfare and i was on the 5th floor. I brought ear plugs and i needed them from time to time. There was one member of the reception staff who dealt with me in an off-hand manner over a couple of legitimate issues (i couldnt get the air con to work and he told me it wasnt hot enough for it, and a problem i jad with a tour booked through the hotel) but the issues were resolved ok and the other staff were very nice.
