The hotel is walking distance from Old Town Marbella, which is lovely, and is located close to many bars and restaurants on the beach promenade. However, it is fairly far (walking) from many of the charming parts of the beach closer to Puerto Banus. The hotels in that area are more expensive though. I recommend renting a bicycle from the hotel (13 Euro/day) and riding along the cost towards Puerto Banus - you'll enjoy it!
The hotel, recently remodeled, was impeccably decorated with modern touches and facilities. I stayed in a double room with side sea views and had a lovely balcony. The bathroom was also spacious and well-outfitted. The lounge area on the beach was fantastic, with friendly waitstaff and live music or a DJ playing in the afternoon. I also had lunch at the Amare beach club two days, which was very enjoyable. As a single traveler, I found the hotel perfect for my needs. It was safe, clean, and had great amenities. I also enjoyed a spa treatment. I highly recommend this hotel - great value for a very fair price!
