Room very small with no cabinet. Noisy. Windows above internal terrace where during the nights guests were chatting and smoking (smelling in the room). Breakfast minimum. Elevator often not working.
Simple value for money, don't be expecting the Ritz and you wont be disappointed, 16 of us on a lads weekend, just somewhere to sleep, it is Barcelona you should be out. Great little chill out room, where you can sit have a coffee and a ciggy. Breakfast is what it is simple but does the job when you get up. Just be careful in the area especially late at night coming home, but again it is Barcelona you need to watch everywhere. Would I stay again? Probably would to be honest. Just don't go expecting the world you wont get it.
Breakfast could be better but there again nobody in Europe does breakfast like the brits
Very central location. Staff helpful and spoke English. Good breakfast. Chill out area a nice touch
Not enough space for luggage in room
All conditions such as hospitality, breakfast and cleanliness were much better than I expected. Although the room is small, I will go there if I visit Barcelona again.
A small water boiler for personal use is needed.
staff, location and breakfast
Clean, staffs nice, price is ok.
Bathroom small, no lift
Small tiny room. For 90€ / night bed sheets not changed, Tv 15" with only Spanish programs, concrete floor. This is a shame to rent such room for so much money
Staff are very helpful
Disappointed : room is very small and too many stairs.
Staying in Raval Rooms was a good experience for us as a couple. It's nothing special but quite in a central and cosy enough for staying a few days. The staff try to do their best to make you feel good and they had the best breakfast we had in Barcelona! Definitaly a good choice if you don't have special demands.
The bed linens and the bathcurtain could have been a little cleaner but otherwise the room was fine.
Internet connection was awesome
Location was so dirty. Full of sketchy people. A very bad part. Of raval neighbourhood. If you come 2 blocks up to the north close to contemporary musuem that's what consider a convenient part of rvL
Location. no elevator
staff was friendly upon departure staff relocated us to a nicer room when we raised the issues - although we were only able to move after 1 night in a 2 night stay
located in dodgy neighborhood small cramped room (used to be a storage room or similar judging from the small roof window and size) Staff not friendly on arrival breakfast was stale considering the above poor value for money
Ssmoker's patio, cool beverages disperser reasonable prices, coin coffee machine. Room had a balcony. Very helpful staff.
Room next to the breakfast room, no soundproofing, very noisy from both inside and outside.
I asked to change the room because was very small.maybe the smallest room I ever see and the man in the reception was very helpful. He told me that the next day would have available room.in the end tha new room was much better.
The area.is in the center but the hospital str. Is not very busy at night but if you are not alone it will be ok.
Rooms were small but very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The service was very nice and helpful. The location was very central and only 5 minutes away to las ramblas.
the walls were a bit thin, but this is typical in Spain
Wi-Fi connection Price
Smell- did not like it Room size- just like a jail Room cleaning-not enough, no change of rubbish bin and bathroom Bathroom- quite small and curtain sticks to my body. Furthermore, it fell down once I pulled it! Environment- looks gray
We stayed in a split level apartment, found it great for how many of us there was. Super close to the metro line. Staff were very helpful.
The terrace was nice. The hotel smells nice.
1) The rooms are very small. 2) The area is not so nice-dirty and very noisy esspecially in the morning. Also a man was ropped in front of us while returing to the hotel. 3) Very unconfortable sleep due to the small bed. 4) A few of the male personel was looking at the ladies with a very hostile manner. 5) I think it was overpriced considering what we paid in the other hotels that we stayed 6) Barcelona during August- overcrouded-not such a good idea- we loved Girona though!
Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is ok (continental), wifi works on all floors except the roof.
1) Change of sheets every 3 days/ No dusting, mopping or cleaning the room for the total of 7 nights we spent there. They re just making the beds. 2)NO ELEVATOR!(except for a weird one that is only used for luggage, and you have to keep the button pushed for the entire journey up the 4th floor.. 3)The area can be dangerous for women walking alone at night.
- hotel clean - The location is good - I liked the breakfast - The staff were nice to support for any needed
- The poor Wi-Fi for people who need internet in they comfortable room, but in this hotel people moved to some part of the hotel to get the signal of Wi-Fi of the hotel. -The room ( I mean the room where I've been) wasn't the same as on the picture. - I feel that, that room was cheaper than I was paid
Staff, cleanliness , air con
Wi-fi was not universal in all rooms. They need more wireless routers in the halls
To my mind, one can hardly tell it's but a two-star hotel and not say a 4 one. The staff is very friendly&helpful: the receptionist was always ready to answer all sorts of my questions and was as kind as to warn me about thievery and certain donts for a tourist like not leaving the phone on the table in a cafe etc. The location of the hotel can be considered both a good and a bad thing. The upside is that it's really close to all the major attractions including Rambla Street, the Gothic Quarter, Catalunya Placa, the coast etc. The food was of good quality&taste, though there was indeed not a very great variety of options (never troubled me much). The room itself was really a one-off as far as the interior is concerned! You really get what you see at the photos. The room service was great as well, with towels changed every day etc. Another good thing was a great number of hangers: we didn't even use them all as a matter of fact. What I really lOVED about this hotel is the cozy lounge ( where you could have your breakfast&smoke) near the cantine and the terrace at the roof that was great to hang around at both at night and during the day as there are a number of seats&tables as well as lovely sunloungers there (smoking allowed) All in all, I really enjoyed staying there and would recommend this hotel for all fellow-travellers :)
Here's what one might find a drawback. As the hotel is situated quite close to Rambla, it could get really noisy at night, which is of course not the fault of the hotel :) The problem is but a minor one as it is easily solved by earplugs which I happily did and was thus able to sleep like a log :) So make sure to bring a pair with you. Another sort of controversial thing (for some people) about the location is that the hotel is situated close to (almost in) an Arab quarter. Which was though never either a problem or an issue for me. No trouble with them really. Anyway, watch out for pickpockets anywhere in Barcelona! And ye'd better not wear your backpack, well, at your back. Place it in front of you. It was by the way by two _Europeans_ that I almost got pickpocketed once so keep your eyes open.
Rooms need a fresh coat of paint and maybe some bathroom refurbishing
Raval rooms is a really Great Hotel with a lot of benefits for its price...Perfect location (3 minutes from La Ramblas), great rooms with big bathroom and perfect areas inside...you can eat a gorgeous breakfas (including to the price) choosing into the restaurant or out in the garden...and if you want to relax you can go to the roof garden wich is a really perfect place...the people inside really friendly and with perfect services...the only thing that they said in whatever I was asking was ''no problem'' ... nobody said we can't do that...they kept our luggages for the last day and they was keeping the door open for us even thow we didn't have a room for the last day...everything from its location is near by foot...Barceloneta is in 20 minutes walking...perfect choice if you are going for relax... Reccomended for sure !!! Konstantinos from Greece
Breakfast, cleanliness....staff----near to tourist spots...
