Rooms were small but very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The service was very nice and helpful. The location was very central and only 5 minutes away to las ramblas.
the walls were a bit thin, but this is typical in Spain
We stayed in a split level apartment, found it great for how many of us there was. Super close to the metro line. Staff were very helpful.
The terrace was nice. The hotel smells nice.
1) The rooms are very small. 2) The area is not so nice-dirty and very noisy esspecially in the morning. Also a man was ropped in front of us while returing to the hotel. 3) Very unconfortable sleep due to the small bed. 4) A few of the male personel was looking at the ladies with a very hostile manner. 5) I think it was overpriced considering what we paid in the other hotels that we stayed 6) Barcelona during August- overcrouded-not such a good idea- we loved Girona though!
Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is ok (continental), wifi works on all floors except the roof.
1) Change of sheets every 3 days/ No dusting, mopping or cleaning the room for the total of 7 nights we spent there. They re just making the beds. 2)NO ELEVATOR!(except for a weird one that is only used for luggage, and you have to keep the button pushed for the entire journey up the 4th floor.. 3)The area can be dangerous for women walking alone at night.
- hotel clean - The location is good - I liked the breakfast - The staff were nice to support for any needed
- The poor Wi-Fi for people who need internet in they comfortable room, but in this hotel people moved to some part of the hotel to get the signal of Wi-Fi of the hotel. -The room ( I mean the room where I've been) wasn't the same as on the picture. - I feel that, that room was cheaper than I was paid
Staff, cleanliness , air con
Wi-fi was not universal in all rooms. They need more wireless routers in the halls
To my mind, one can hardly tell it's but a two-star hotel and not say a 4 one. The staff is very friendly&helpful: the receptionist was always ready to answer all sorts of my questions and was as kind as to warn me about thievery and certain donts for a tourist like not leaving the phone on the table in a cafe etc. The location of the hotel can be considered both a good and a bad thing. The upside is that it's really close to all the major attractions including Rambla Street, the Gothic Quarter, Catalunya Placa, the coast etc. The food was of good quality&taste, though there was indeed not a very great variety of options (never troubled me much). The room itself was really a one-off as far as the interior is concerned! You really get what you see at the photos. The room service was great as well, with towels changed every day etc. Another good thing was a great number of hangers: we didn't even use them all as a matter of fact. What I really lOVED about this hotel is the cozy lounge ( where you could have your breakfast&smoke) near the cantine and the terrace at the roof that was great to hang around at both at night and during the day as there are a number of seats&tables as well as lovely sunloungers there (smoking allowed) All in all, I really enjoyed staying there and would recommend this hotel for all fellow-travellers :)
Here's what one might find a drawback. As the hotel is situated quite close to Rambla, it could get really noisy at night, which is of course not the fault of the hotel :) The problem is but a minor one as it is easily solved by earplugs which I happily did and was thus able to sleep like a log :) So make sure to bring a pair with you. Another sort of controversial thing (for some people) about the location is that the hotel is situated close to (almost in) an Arab quarter. Which was though never either a problem or an issue for me. No trouble with them really. Anyway, watch out for pickpockets anywhere in Barcelona! And ye'd better not wear your backpack, well, at your back. Place it in front of you. It was by the way by two _Europeans_ that I almost got pickpocketed once so keep your eyes open.
Rooms need a fresh coat of paint and maybe some bathroom refurbishing
Raval rooms is a really Great Hotel with a lot of benefits for its price...Perfect location (3 minutes from La Ramblas), great rooms with big bathroom and perfect areas inside...you can eat a gorgeous breakfas (including to the price) choosing into the restaurant or out in the garden...and if you want to relax you can go to the roof garden wich is a really perfect place...the people inside really friendly and with perfect services...the only thing that they said in whatever I was asking was ''no problem'' ... nobody said we can't do that...they kept our luggages for the last day and they was keeping the door open for us even thow we didn't have a room for the last day...everything from its location is near by foot...Barceloneta is in 20 minutes walking...perfect choice if you are going for relax... Reccomended for sure !!! Konstantinos from Greece
Breakfast, cleanliness....staff----near to tourist spots...
staff and terasse
photos on the website don't match reality. rooms very small and not so clean.
good location just one minute from the metro station. good value of money and room is quite clean. Staff are very nice.
wifi is not so good, sometimes I can't connect it.
service location breakfast included room with bathroom
wifi barely reached my room
Staff very unfriendly. Their service was very unsatisfactory.
Small yet funky rooms, clean, breakfast, excellent location
wifi does't reach into some of the corner rooms
Friendly staff...room was very clean.
Not a nice location... Didn't like the rule requiring guests to leave the room key at reception every time you leave the hostel.
Close to center, kindly staff
A little dangerous part of town, very bad isolation of sound in rooms
No visitors allowed.
Nice bed and shower. Clean.
Room was very small for two people. The location was pretty far from Barcelona attractions.
The location close to Ramblas but away from the tourist, the very nice reception staff, the basic but good rooms.
Wifi in the rooms is poor, and there could be a broader selection of food for breakfast.
The terrasse was very good, we had a problem with the room and we were able to change the room
The first room war with small windows A bite nosy
Central location, staff is helpful.
It's more a hostel environment (tiny room, mini-plastic bathroom, basic breakfast, window did not close) than a hotel environment. For a hostel comfort and service would be fine, for a hotel and almost 100 €/night it is somehow disappointing. But I guess Barcelona is overpriced in general...
Good location , easy to find. Metro station very clause, many restaurants.... I'll go back there next time for sure! Nice place & host
The old fashion elevator and the wi-fi
Budget hotel right in the centre of Barcelona
Area is a bit run down, not sure I'd like to be out there late at night
The location was good
The woman on reception when we arrived was rude and not welcoming at all, she had a very poor maner for a person working in hospitality and later that day there was a man on reception who was even worse. We asked him about the cost of a taxi to the airport from their location and he just snapped "I dont know" and went on texting on his phone. Both these people need to learn people skills.
