Hotel Gaudi  

Very friendly and helpful especially the young lady in the gaudi cafeteria

Some of the one way streets in the town centre were a bit tricky to negotiate

I've stayed at the gaudi many times over the years, it's in a brilliant location, cheap and cheerful rooms, and the city-run parking lot next door is good value at €8 per day. The air conditioning works ok, and unlike the last times I stayed there, they now have window handles in the room - before you'd have to go down to reception and get one :-)

Unfortunately the staff could do with a quick brush up on customer service. While at breakfast we witnessed the male server lean in over a customer's food, pick up the guy's toast out of the basket it was in and leave it on the table, seemingly because the basket was supposed to remain on the buffet table. Ok, so why was this such a big deal? Cause it was so unnecessary & rude! He did it all with stoney faced silence!! The staff member at check in was also lacking in charm. Pity. And the wi-fi? Couldn't access it and was given no help. We paid for breakfast the two days we stayed there, but had an early flight the next morning. We were denied the simple courtesy of leaving out some fruit and a croissant for us. Which is a bit lame.

Nice location, very citylike. Good and busy cafetaria/bar in the hotel.

No internet in the rooms!

The hotel Gaudi is in an excellent location in the centre of Reus (birthpalce of the architect Antoni Gaudi) The decor is in the modernist style of Gaudi and his contemporaries. The room was huge. The reception staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We didn't arrive until 10.30 pm so late check in was great and the receptionist directed us a a beautiful square 5 minutes away where we could eat. We had the "romantic deal" which included a very welcome bottle of chilled Cava in our room on arrival, free entry to the superb Gaudi centre and a free glass of Cava or a coffee at the casino in Tarragona. We were able to leave our cases in the luggage room after check out so we could explore the city in comfort. There is a great "Modernista" walk through the city with many beautiful buildings. If you are a fan of Gaudi, then the new Gaudi centre is well worth a visit ....superb exhibitions and very interesting items from Gaudi's early life in Reus. Many 3 dimensional items and a fantastic film show (7 euros to get in but free with Hotel Gaudi)

Breakfast was a bit basic, but good all the same and all self service - even the tea/coffee and toast!

24 hr check in , clean, no street noise, though can hear other guests, close to the centre of town and the Gaudi centre

Overpriced-especially for the single traveller

It's a basic business style hotel, no other choice though. It's clean and well located for the centre, a little far from the train station to walk with bags but easy to find if you do. Bed was fairly comfortable, room just needs updating

A strange musty smell! Luckily the windows open!!

The hotel is in the center of Reus close to the shops. You can have a fast and good breakfast at the bar that I think belongs also to the hotel.

No internet in the rooms only at reception, the bathroom as a window where you can ear noises from other rooms. Bed is makes noises. Tv to small around 15" crt.

Personale disponibile e cortese, colazione abbondante, centro città facile da raggiungere a piede dalla stazione dei treni e degli autobus.

Consiglierei il divieto di fumare al mio arrivo ho dovuto spalancare le finestre, la camera anche se pulitissima era troppo impregnata di fumo. Arredo un pò vecchiotto...ma se si pernotta e si esce non penso sia un problema.
