Talasso and spa.
Food, pool bar and clean its very poor. Animation team.
Is a good structure, good space and a lot of things to do the all day.
The staff and the service is to slowly and only one person decide the things. The wifi in my room did not function and the air condition did not work so well. My room was very hot, the tecnichal tried to do something but nothing change. My minibar was empty.
The hotel commodities are great, its a very nice hotel with a great surround and beautiful views.
The reception, not organized at all. Refused to get us a better room after a 2hours waiting and didnt have in consideration that was our second time at the hotel.
Good was lovely but they could do with changing there menu a little each night!!
Drinks were too expensive need to look at their prices!!
Poor air conditioning
Exactly what you would expect of a 4 star hotel. Good food, enthousiastic staff, clean, well maintained, ...
- poor wifi connection and bandwith - rock hard matress
The food was pretty good. Some of the staff were helpful although one member very rude. Most of the evening entertainment was good.
San Augustin was not very nice. Saw other parts of the island ie melonares, Puerto Rico and mogan were much nicer. No inflatables or balls allowed in pools. Beds were very hard. Had to pay deposit for pool towels and pay to change them.
Everything was good .just a bit to hot for us
Not enough umbrellas at pool thats all folks.
Great accommodation. Excellent restaurant and food.
Umbrellas by pool in need of maintenance ( subject to significant winds). Bar on expensive side.
External facilities like lobby areas and pool areas, cleanliness, excellent food and buffets, excellent will from the staff to make you comfortable if they can help
pool areas completely infested by the pool towel critters making all poolchairs occupied by towels and not people, wifi/internet is so bad that I get angry just by thinking about it, the beds in family rooms are harder than my army bunk beds (my back is still not ok), coffe making facilities in room lack the water heater (which is sort of necessary to use this), mystical seawater pool on roof that nobody seems to know anything about
I enjoyed my stay. Upper floor pool area was nice, quiet and intimate. Very helpful staff.
Parking and no bidet
overall a very good hotel with excellent staff and facilities
entertainment late at night was only ok
POOR CONNECTION WI-FI IN OUR ROOM
Breakfast was extensive with lots of options. The view from our room (8th floor) was amazing. Roof top terrace, more relaxing than the larger poolside loungers. Late check out available. Staff were all friendly and willing to help out wherever possible.
the food, the location, the service
the beds, which were too hard, the smell coming from the bathroom
Food was ordinary , you are better off eating at local restaurants. Breakfast OK!
This was my third time at Gloria Palace (previous times were years ago) and I look forward to come for the fourth one. The atmosphere is astonishing, staff is friendly and welcoming, food is great, and everything is designed for your relax and to enjoy your holidays as much as you can. I traveled all over the world but for many reasons this is the place where I feel like at home (or better!) the most. Book a room!
Sometimes and somewhere the wifi connection is poor.
hotel was generally very good, the food could have a bit more choice from table D hot
The hotel didn't have our reservation when we arrived and we were disgusted in booking.com for not making our reservation for us, eventually we sorted it out and had to make a fresh reservation !!
Food Excellent, Staff so Helpfull,Kids Club very Good, Overall a very enjoyable holiday..
Please Provide a "Proper Hairdryer" in the room or advise people to bring their own !
Gloria Palace had wonderful views of the sea and San Agustin. It was an easy walk to the beach and shopping. The hotel also provided a free shuttle service for transport to the beach. We preferred to walk. Car rental was not needed. The staff was very gracious. The pools were heated and very nice. We enjoyed our stay.
The only bad thing I can say about the resort is that the beds were VERY hard. We stayed in a family room which had two bedrooms with a total of 3 beds. All were equally hard and lumpy. The linens were fine but new mattresses would really make the stay exceptional.
The staff here were excellent, couldn't do enough for you, although the Hotel was obviously full there was 'elbow room' as they say, we didn't have to wait for a table or an easy chair anywhere in the Hotel. Very attentive staff in the Dining room and in the snack bar. The rooms are comfy, pretty basis for 4 stars but nevertheless spotlessly clean and fully functional, if you have a room on the eighth floor it can be a bit hit and miss with the shower when everyone else is showering due to the water pressure, so one minute cold then hot etc. .. but we considered it a forfeit for the lovely view we had. The food was great plenty of choice for a fussy eater and the theme nights were a nice touch. We have both come home distinctly heavier!!! Its a ten minute walk down to the shopping centre and the beach, there is a lovely panoramic bar/restaurant where they make a mean sangria! The beach is nice and the walk into Playa De Lingles is worth doing but make sure you have comfy shoes as it is quite a walk, there are shopping areas that you pass through with numerous restaurants/bars to stop and get refreshment a taxi home is 5/6 euros. we hired a car for the day at 40 euros, but to be honest the roads are hairpin bends and we were only out for half of the day as I found it quite stressful driving on narrow mountainous roads dreading something coming in the opposite direction. So to sum up if you want a lovely week in the winter sunshine you won't be disappointed but if you are looking for a rave and lively nightlife I don't think this place is for you. Cant comment on the spa as we ran out of time to use it and didn't want to waste the lovely sunshine! Would visit again.
Nothing really, the shower could have done with some improvement but other than that it does what it says on the tin!
The great choices of food. A good hotel to relax. Good location to visit the rest of the island.
Drinking beer out of wine glasses at meal times
Good entertainment, excellent service, very accommodating, brilliant thalassotherapy spa facility!
Some activities/spa/terrace pool are chargeable but the hotel and booking.com make you aware of that in advance; also, parking spaces are limited.
Plenty of sunbeds but very close together.
