Big room with 4 beds, cooking facilities.. Even welcome candies. Excellent customer service, very helpful in storing luggage and arranging for taxi to airport. Lots of food close by
Small elevator, nondescript entrance, stairs. No breakfast
+quiet street +near Atocha station +cleanness +bathroom equipment/hairdryer,soap&shampoo dispensors
-kitchen: missing vine glass, water kettle
Location was good. Wifi is fast. Apartment is fully furnished. Had problem opening the door.
Strong smell of smoke. A bit noisy and some occupants make mistake by ringing the doorbell of another room thinking it is the light switch. The elevator is too small.
Good and helpful stuff, you live just in the thick of things. Close to metro Atocha and train station .
No wine glasses, only regular glasses for water. That's it.
Excellent location close to museums and Atocha station. Apartment was modern and clean.
Even though the apartment was clean there was always a smell of drains. It would have been useful to have a kettle in the kitchen. Apartment was only cleaned every 3 or 4 days.
Great location to start walks to visit Madrid in every direction. Parking facility a little far, but in walking distance. Small appartment that slept 5 comfortably, but a really bad smell had us buy some air freshner in order to properly breath and sleep.
Shower very pokey and the department was very small
Noisy and drunks not safe place at all. Someone nocked my door late night.
This place was exactly what I needed. Friendly staff, good wifi, close to public transportation, and clean appliances (refrigerator, washing machine, oven, etc.)
There was no room cleaning service during my stay.
Good, central location for tourism. Very close to Prado. Helpful staff.
Bad smell from the pipes was unpleasant.
Location near galleries and open spaces Area had nice bars and eateries and near metro Room was clean and warm and also had air con & was serviced during the stay A good shower. The area was quiet. Good shower & good basic cooking area with utensils
There was noise from the stairs and also very noisy when clubbers came back at 5.00 shouting and screaming. The building could do with some sound insulation. We would have liked some comfy chairs to sit on
This apartment is within walking distance of the Atocha train and subway station, near tourist attractions and restaurants. It was nicely decorated in a typical & charming old building with a balcony, bedroom, small kitchen, & bathroom. We were very pleased, but the shower would be small for anyone heavy set.
location, simplicity in all aspect.
The smell of the bathroom
Nice little apartment close to metro. Had everything we needed for an overnight stay to catch the train. Would definitely stay here again with our family - met all of our needs!!
Rather hard to find at first.
Great location with easy access to Atocha. Everything in central Madrid is within walking distance. Staff was friendly and apartment was spacious and clean. Kitchen is small, but has everything needed to make a small breakfast before touring the city. Building was pretty quiet for a building located in central Madrid. It was perfect for myself and my Father. The apartment was very clean and everything was well maintained. Bathroom is small but clean and well kept.
Not really much we did not like. It was a great value for the price.
Easy access to airport and other transportation systems. We really enjoyed the neighbourhood. It was lively and interesting but not noisy. A musician and artist residential area. We had lots of morning concerts when they practiced. Pianist across the alley was magnificent. Small supermarket close by, less than 5 minute walk. If you book ask for 2 single beds. The double though new was not big enough.
Not a queen bed. Hotel was full so staff although attentive couldn't help. Our last night the upstairs guest was loud and noisy for hours. With no over night staff in residence this situation could not be rectified immediately.
Good position, good staff (no hassles).
The apartment was at the 4th floor, the last one. The bedroom was upstairs, the bathroom downstairs. A little bit claustrophobic (only one big window upstairs, 2 small downst.). Value/Money = 80%
very good location which so close to the train station.
Apartment itself was perfect once we found the building and discovered how to get in. We had only booked one night and it was immaculately clean, bed very comfortable, and once we saw the place in daylight the next day realised it is in a good, central location.
Flight delayed so didn't arrive until almost midnight. Very difficult to find, in a quiet narrow back street which made us nervous as at that time of night streets deserted except for a few rather unsavoury characters. Once found we couldn't get in. The outside of the building gives the impression that you are in an unsafe area. Someone eventually remotely opened the front door and we entered the building not knowing where to go. No reception area apparent, and no sign of anyone. We climbed a couple of flights of stairs to find a makeshift reception desk with a gentleman in attendance who complained that our ETA was hours ago. Once in the apartment and with the door locked we finally felt 'safe'. Small clean kitchen area but no kettle. Not sure if I would stay again, apartment fine but building and location not welcoming, although it is only a very short walk to several main sights.
This 2 story, 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment on a small street was incredibly well located. It was a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Atocha train station, equally close to the Reina Sofia museum and still closer to the Prado. It was around the corner from a small CarreFour market. There were several restaurants in the neighborhood. Despite these conveniences, the apartment was definitely on a side street that had an earthy, working class feel. There was a completely furnished kitchen. A washer/dryer was in place. I enjoyed looking out over the roof tops from our garret room but the style of the apartment suggested a more rustic mountain cabin. It would have been a tremendous value for a family or 2 couples.
Walking directions from Atocha station would have helped. The washer/dryer was convenient, but the dryer function didn't seem to work.
Location is amazing! Walking distance to everything and just have a supermarket around the corner in the back of the building. Washing machine has dryer function.
Room is a little bit small, the bed is small as well, and they don't provide any washing powder or liquid, so you need to buy a big bottle in the supermarket... The toilet is leaking all the time and the tissue inside seems dirty...
Location above all - galleries, shops, restaurants and bars and Retiro park all really close, but an almost traffic-free street. Useful to have a washer/drier
Bit of a shortage of storage - coathangers, hooks - and only one bedside table.

Great location, helpful staff. very clean.
Literally there were TWO plates, two forks, two glasses. No condiments in the kitchen. bring your own salt.
