My wife and I stayed at Hotel Goya during a low budget holiday to Alicante and found it very good value for money. The hotel is near the tram from where you can easily reach the main beaches in Alicante. It takes about 20-30 minutes to walk to the sea front, but the walk is quite nice and goes through the shopping area of Alicante. The square where the tram leaves from (Luceros) has lots of cafes where you can have a cheap breakfast, or a nice cold glass of beer + tapas in the evening. The hotel staff is helpful and speak English. Our room was small, but clean and had air-con and a ceiling fan. The bathroom was small, which was not a huge problem for us, but we doubt whether a person with a few extra kilos would be able to squash in the tiny toilet area. We only had one incident of loud neighbours who woke us up with their noise in the middle of the night, but I guess this could happen in any hotel. One small inconvenience for my wife was that there was no hair-drier in the room. All in all, it is a good basic hotel in a convenient location and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a low-cost but decent place to stay in Alicante.

Reception staff were very accommodating and dealt with our check-in very swiftly, despite being quite busy. Breakfast was fine, as were the dining room staff. We certainly couldn't complain about the variety on offer, given that it is included in the cost of the room. Checking out was also smooth. All in all it was good value for money. If guests are friendly and polite with the staff then we're confident that it will be reciprocated and the stay enjoyable. We were lucky enough to have a large terrace but a couple of chairs to rest on would have been appreciated, although it's only a minor point. No english news channel on the tv - again, nothing major as we were there to take in the sights of Alicante!

The (1st) room had a mould smell that was so strong that the 3 of us all developed headaches. We asked for, and received a different room. The hotel was not nearly as fresh and clean as it appeared on the pictures from the homepage.

No cooked breakfast but otherwise ok. 5 minute walk to tram station to Benidorm. 10 minute walk to main train station. 20 minutes walk to beach & bus station. Decent location. Beds uncomfortable, rooms small & need updating. Good price but you get what you pay for. Ok for a short stay.

We only stayed one night and found the hotel very convenient for our overnight stop.It was well situated for our brief visit to the city and would not hesitate to stay there again . Other reviews that we had read before booking said the rooms were noisy. We also found that other guests talking loudly and closing doors was noisy.

Very kind and helpful staff, speaks fluently English. Easy to find hotel from the train station. Nice location in the city center, about 20 minutes of lazy walk to beach. Small rooms with poor view, mostly into next room window. Bathroom is also small. Room locks looks bit "break-up-in-next-moment".

Rates, location is ok (central), some staff spoke English but not everyone. We were looking for a central hotel just to sleep and have breakfast, but the beds were very uncomfortable and breakfast was poor. We won't book this hotel next time in Alicante.

Not far from the city center. Very close to the train station, maybe 5 min walk. However, it's about 20 min walk to the beach. The room is clean & staff is friendly. The wifi is free but my room at 3rd floor can't reach the Wi-fi. I have to use the internet with my laptop in the lobby. Also, the buffet breakfast could be better, otherwise quite some option out there for the meal.

The hotel was easy to find and well located, close to the bus to the airport, and the tram to the beach. The staff was helpfull and friendly. The walls are so thin that you will hear all the neighbors and the people coming back during all night. The fan of the airconditioning on the balcony was really noisy. Do not forget your ear plugs!

We had a very big room with a balcony, the people at reception were very helpful and it is not too far to walk into the centre (about 10 minutes). The room was air-conditioned and the breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was fine. If you have your own laptop, the WIFI connection is free to use. Overall very good value for money indeed!! Don't look too closely at the cleanliness!

The hotel is situated in quite location. It is about 20 minutes from beach. Good value for the price. The room air-condition was turned off sometimes, but if we asked they immidietly turned it again imidietly. In my opinion, the hotel isn't sufficient for all-day stay.
