Pleasant hotel. Well equipped, spacious rooms. Pleasant pool areas. Few minutes walk from a wonderful selection of restaurants and short drive from Marbella. Lovely area.

Hotel appears to have some fairly big plumbing problems. Evidence of water damage on ceilings and a bucket underneath one leaky ceiling for the whole of our four day stay. Water pressure very poor in our room. On our last morning at breakfast, significant leak appeared over hot food counter which was splashing onto the food below. Waitress placed a container underneath and we saw her bring the leak to the attention of hotel manager, who was helping himself to breakfast, and appeared to completely ignore her. Some areas of the hotel are looking a little tired and in need of refurbishment. General feeling of being understaffed and poorly managed. Pool not open till Midday.

The surrounding area is beautiful & the restaurants in the town are of very high standards. Having stayed a couple times previously, I'm glad to say I was able to have a proper double bed & my room was in good condition.

The top tier pool was in disgusting condition & it took more than a few complaints from the day before for a "quick clean" to be done which took from 11:00am-1:30pm when in fact it should have been done in the early hours of the morning so the pool could actually be used. The hot breakfast was not of a 4star standard - tinned sausages, all fat bacon & unappetising scrambled eggs lead to my decision of having toast. I arrived Sunday @ 4:30pm & noticed dirty cups/mugs, plates & cutlery on one of the tables by the lift, when I left Monday @ 4:30pm, this was still there. Again overall the hotel is not living up to its 4star standard which is a shame because it has such potential.

As always location and food quality is marvellous. Service is not too bad but it seems for the time of the year the hotel staff is rather limited in numbers.

I didn't like the state of the pools.It was pretty bad. Having worked with pools for the past 28 years it was evident that the pools should have been closed for treatment. One of the kids pool and a jacuzzi were actually short of water and the skimmers were drawing in air. This in fact is a clear indication on the lack of knowledge involving general pool maintenance. The excuses given by the stuff range from ridiculous to pathetic and were far from acceptable. I've been staying in this place for the past 12 years or so and it is unfortunately sad to see how this wonderful hotel has deteriorated over the past 4 to 5 years. Especially the pools have never been like this not even during the winter period.

attention to detail on cleaning, net curtains in both rooms were marked and didn't look clean, marks on pillowcases and towels.hot breakfast lukewarm, coffee served from vending machines not good.

We got a last minute favorable offer and had a nice stay at this beautiful hotel. Breakfast was good. Benahavis is a very beautiful place, with lots of restaurants.

We got free Wifi for only one device. The next device had a cost of 6 euros pr day. Carpets in second floor were worn.

The opening hours of the spa are still quite restrictive. In the past few years I have stayed there a number of times and still haven't managed to get to the spa as it is always closed when I seem to want to go (i.e. in the evenings after a day by the pool)

We paid €65 which was excellent. Room was large, public areas very impressive, spa good, pool and gardens V. good and it's a great location on the edge of Benahavis village.

It's all a little tired. Carpets worn, towells look old, steam room out of action. At €65 it was good value but if we had paid what they say is their normal rate of €150 we would have been disapointed.

TV channels not a good selection.

A very warm welcome from the receptionist when we arrived, friendly and helpful. Lovely large room. Breakfast was good. We like Benahavis for an eveing out, it is a short uphill walk into the village, but it just helps to give one an appetite!

Proximity to a variety of restaurants

COLD swimming pools which also needed cleaning as there was debris floating on the surface. Only ventured in the once!

This is our second stay at this hotel. The rooms are of a very generous size and are kept very clean by the staff.It is in a lovely quiet position and yet only a minutes drive up to the village centre or a 10/15 minute walk.

The only complaint I would make is about the breakfast. The amount and range of food on offer is fantastic, the downside being there are not any hot plates on which to put your food. Unfortunately being a buffet breakfast the food is kept under lamps to try and keep things hot, but needless to say this does not work, so if you enjoy barely warm egg and bacon and only cold plates to put the food on then it might suite some people but not myself.

I love Benahavis. The hotel is in such a pretty location. The gardens and pool are well kept and staff are very nice.

The hotel was quiet so they seemed to only use one floor. the carpets of which were very badly stained and grubby. The walls needed to be painted and the lift was broken for the entire time we were there.
