The food on Christmas Day was excellent.
The staff didn't seem to communicate very well. I booked the two Festive Menus and was asked when we would like to eat. I was told the restaurant was open 8.30 to 10.30 and booked 8.30. No-one told us, until we got there, that lunch on Christmas Day was only until 3.30! When we arrived at 8.30 on Boxing Day, we discovered that the same applied, the Festive Menu was for Lunch Time! We did get the FM, but it was hurried and some of it was missing. Elena did give a 15% discount on the BD meal, however, it was disappointing, as I had put so much effort into organising the trip. I know we were British in Spain, but I do feel that lack of staff communication spoiled our trip. We checked out and went to Port Sidges Resort.
Everything was great: location, comfort, breakfast, facilities...
The wifi signal didn't reach our room...
Central location, free parking
Beautiful Hotel, in historic old town. Our room was, modern yet retained its old features, the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in, and also the quietest room ever!
Our sink did not work and although reported was not fixed during our stay, so we could not use it! Our shower did not work on the the day we were leaving, and we went to reception and we spoke to the hotel manager who would not give us her name, and did not want to rectify our issues, until over half an hour of us explaining that a shower and a sink that did not work was not acceptable in a Hotel! We would never recommend or return to this Hotel, as the manager is totally disinterested in her clients!
The location and integration into the old convent is unique and a masterpiece of the architect. The restaurant is nicely styled and good quality, however the menue should be changed more often. The room, though superior, was relatively small due to the integration into the old walls. Excellent breakfast bar, far better than in most 4- or even 5-star hotels we met in Spain.
Superior room rel. small due to integration into old walls. Few extras in the bathroom. Staff, with exceptions, not really customer minded.
This hotel is something special like staying in an old Castle but with modern facilities. Great restaurant with excellent food.
-Spa -Decoration -Pool -Restaurant. Food -perfect for a breakaway
Clean and good decoration and furniture
No wifi , Poor A/C, a bit expensive
Hotel is beautiful, really clean, modern and boutique like. Highly specced room and in a great location. We also needed additional storage for our bikes and the hotel accommodated this request with a secure space.
Service was very slow. Drinks took about 30 minutes to arrive and there certainly Wasn't "service with a smile" Spa facilities open at 10am and pool doesn't open until 11am, which isn't ideal when you are checking out at 10am. Would have been nice to have been able to access these prior to departure.
No internal comunication about room service. Sandwich and beverage over priced.
Location and surrounding, the revealed stone walls, the view from the (cold!) jacuzzi on the roof. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, and the room was lovely
The double bed in our suite was two singles not fery securely pushed together
Simplicity of room. Ambiance. Fantastic location, and interesting layout. Unobtrusive but helpful staff.
Single beds in suite!
The hotel had an old world feel, comfortable 3 star accommodation and service. Very nice pool area with service in the evening. Didn't visit the sauna or spa.
The food in the dining room was really expensive, we went for lunch and 1 plate of pealla , 1 prawn and 3 shrimp cost plus a few mussles €25. service was very slow and the dining room manager was totally without charm, in fact bordering on the sulky.... We found it slow even in waiting for the bill. Hopefully it improves!
Third time staying here. No disappointments at all. A very relaxing small town to enjoy. Nice beach. Very nice breakfast, very good staff.
Everything! What an amazing property...built into the site of an ancient castle, yet very modern. Our room was wondeful, very spacious with the first comfortable king size bed we have encountered in our three weeks of travel in Spain. And we had a very large French doors that led out to a private patio/deck with chaise lounges and great view of the Med. Sea. The staff was
Having only booked one night! PS Our dinner and breakfast was also much to our liking too. Most helpful staff in hotel and restrurant.
tres belle decoration, grand confort, grand standing
The location is amazing. The modern entrance area made a good contrast to the facade and old setting. We were happy with the situation of our room that was set outside on a little terrace. There was a jacuzzi bath and a good assortment of the usual gels and lotions. The staff were friendly and when we found that there was no tourist information available or a plan of the area, the receptionist made a photo copy of a map for us.
The rooms were a bit bleak and a few pictures and coloured furnishings would help. There was only WiFi connection in the main areas and there was no bar to enjoy a drink while using the computer. There were no maps or information about the area or the hotel and its history. Out of season the bars and restaurants near the hotel don't open until Thursday night and the week end.
The building is very beautiful and the receptionist checked us in early free of charge.
most of the facilities were out of order due to low season, which I was not made aware of. The receptionist tried to over charge me on departure and there was graffiti on the wall of the bedroom. The room was also only made up for one person. If I had paid full price for this room I would have been very dissatisfied and I even consider 80 euros to be too much for the service I received.
