The restaurant, food and special thanks to the chefs at the hotel.. Chef Mousa, Chef Ibrahim, and Chef Omar.. they were much more than kind, generous, and helpful.
The Internet service is very poor and we paid for it for three days and most of the time the internet is disconnected and doesn't work most of the time. and am really disapointed for paying for the internet service that doesn't work from the beginning.
location, food, friendliness, quality of service
All staff had a "can do" attitude and were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Special mention goes to Omar on the griddle and his lady colleague from Madrid.(sorry forgot name) Choice and quality of food was great.
Building works at both front and side of property.
Location, by the beach Spacious room and balcony, bathroom Outdoor breakfast area Breakfast buffet, stunning Swimming pools, brilliant Heated salt pool, brilliant Free Spanish classes with Liann
Not informing us that building works were in progress outside hotel Limited options to eat at night and by the pool Dinner buffet as only option, boring Dinner food poor quality Bocano restaurant awful, lunch and dinner Pillows! They smelt damp! Not segregating the hotel in to smoking &non smoking areas Being exposed to smoking, in our room from neighbouring balcony
Food excellent, hotel staff very friendly. Nothing to complain about. I have stayed in several 5 star hotels on the costa adeje and this has been the best to date price v quality. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Will return.
My only recommendation is that the gym open earlier. It's a great gym and I prefer to go before breakfast and it does not open until 9.
pillows uncomfortable bar staff by pool arguing at each other we had to turn the tv up to drown out the music late at night we always stay in 5 star accommodation on this accommodation and we do not rate this as 5 star
Food was good with great choices, service was good, staff friendly and helpful, location was good for us, champagne at reception on check in got the visit off to a good start, nice to have live evening entertainment - if a little poor. Looking forward to going back to Tenerife at some point and would pick this hotel if the price was right.
Building works between the hotel and the beach was unfortunate but I guess it has to be done, would have put me off going if I had known but the noise, dirt and poor site safety wasnt too bad for us. Noisy people in room next door at night.
near beach and good dineer
Staff were very friendly. Special mention to Azzurra in the Miniclub who was exceptional with out little boy. The buffet was excellent quality with great variety and choice. The location is fantastic.
Wifi didn't work reliably in the room which was particularly frustrating given you have to pay €25/person for access for a week which I felt is a bit much in this day and age in a 5 start hotel.
We had a fabulous six nights in the Gran Tacande. We found the staff there polite and courteous. We had an extremely private balcony. Breakfast was varied and of a high standard. Drinks in the bar were a good price for a five star hotel. Housekeeping were excellent. The location is perfect for Playas Fanabe and El Duque. Overall our stay was excellent.
The wi fi was poor. You could upgrade to premium wifi; in a five star hotel I feel you shouldn't have pay for such extras, it should be as standard.
Building, swimming pool and the kindness of the staff. They were lovely
Wifi connection limited to 500MB (not acceptable for a 5 stars hotel), the view on the see in not what I expected, pedicure and manicure at the spa were awful.
great location great room design good cleaning services
when u have halfboard pension the drink are not included ( theres no price list for the drinks, at dinner) really bad wifi, even after u buy a premium rate
fantasticupgraded room, friendly, helpful staff, good location
Large hotel, large rooms, very nice lounges and halls. Great accessibility, ramps and lifts everywhere. Very good staff, always there to help. Very nice outside pools, 2 for adults (one heated), 1 pool for children, heated. Very close to the beach, nice backyard access. I recommend renting a car, for which there is a free underground parking. 4-5 activities all day round (Spanish lessons, Darts, ping-pong, pool, chess) and great shows (music/dancing) every evening (2-3 each evening).
The most annoying thing was there were noisy works outside right at the back of the hotel with a lot of dust as well, and some hotel facilities not in use (tennis courts, SPA pool). It would be ok if they would say right from the beginning and try to compensate, at least 10% discount in such conditions is a must for a 5 stars hotel. I had to complain myself, in which case their reaction was very good as expected and came with some complimentary (this is a plus). Some old wear out finishes (walls, floors, tiles), but easily overlooked by the nice and large built rooms and halls. Some bugs/beetles in the bathrooms. WiFi not really working many times and a bit expensive computer internet access (5euros/30 min when internet is almost free everywhere) Regarding the daily activities, it would be nice for guests to subscribe to play with other guests, like small championships, not only to play ping-pong/chess/tennis with the animators.
We had an ocean view room on the toppest floor (No. 731) and all the constructions did not bother us at all. The view from the amazing terrace is perfect - total magic! The room is big and comfortable enough being cleaned several times a day. The personnel is very helpful and kind. The most thing which made a huge impression on us was the food (variety of everything what you want - meat, seafood, fish, salads, plenty of cheese and hamon, foie gras, sushi, rolls, homemade breads, fresh juices, etc.) and the staff working in the restaurant, like a clock. They are so much organised, attentive and having great memory! Especially, I would like to note Yuriy from Lviv (Ukraine) and Omar - the chef. They made each our evening remarkable one! Besids cousine, the other advantage is surrounding territory outside the hotel. It is definitely the best in the whole Tenefire (we travelled in different parts). Additionally, we went to Vitanova Spa, situated in the hotel - everything was fantastic! Most visitors of the hotel are couples of different age with practically no children. Each day there is an entertainment programme, pefrect live music played by very good musicians. SO, I surely recommend this hotel if you want to have a quite, relaxing vacation! Since we had honeymoon, I decided to search a good photographer in Tenerile in order to make a photoshoot in the Duque beach. Somehow via internet, I found an experienced professional photographer working in Tenerife - Matilda Melander, who came to our hotel with her assistant and spent with us a couple of hours making a photoshoot in the hotel and brilliant surrounding territories. In a couple of days she came to us again already with 500 great photos on the CD with our photo printed on the front and it included around 50 retouched photos. In a word, I was so glad and excited, because she met all my expectations and wishes and even more!!!
Limited WiFi is the only disadvantage, only 500 Mb per week per 1 device. However, if you stay longer - after one week passes you receive 500 Mb once again for the following week. Temporarly disadvanrage is several contsructions near the hotel. One is on the way from the hotel to the Duque Beach - this one seems to be finished soon. And the other one is in front of the central entrance to the Hotel and on the way to Duque Plaza - this one shall last much longer, because they have just started building a new hotel. So, my advise is definetaly to book an ocean view side!
The staff were very friendly and helpful
There was some construction noise outside the hotel
the location, the beach, the staff ...everything is great. I strongly recommend this hotel
Our break was a great success from start to finish. Lovely building spotlessly clean and brilliant well trained staff. Great choice of food. Only quibbles were the quality of the wi fi which was a bit sporadic and the fact that there was quite extensive building work going on around the hotel. This impacted only minimally on our stay
The food was excellent. Such a wide selection and of great quality. The hotel is in a lovely area.
There is currently major building work being undertaken next to the hotel which can spoil the peace and quiet.
Food was to die for, staff were all veey helpful and friendly.
Work going on around the hotel.
Large room with an amazing bathroom. Fridge in the room, drying rack on the balcony. Great location. Beautiful swimming pool. Excellent selection of food at breakfast. Great spa, children from 12 years can use the thermal circuit facilities.
Our room had no soundproofing and we could hear the live entertainment very clearly every night. The pool and spa were salt water.
The staff are great and really look after you
We both found the bed and pillow uncomfortable for us.
friendly staff (Javier at the reception; Omar the chef, etc), nice pools, close to the beach and to nice shops; overall very kid-friendly
Amazing staff, beautiful facilities, ideal location, wonderful food
The only complaints were that the bed was not a king but two singles side by side and they were too firm and that we had to wait for a long time for a waiter to come to order drinks on the pool terrace. Everything else was wonderful
