Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya  

Excellent hotel. Great location near the Sants station, with Renfe trains (saves you a taxi from the airport!), and several Metro lines. There also nice park just outside the hotel. Next to the hotel there is a huge supermarket (buy water there - don't drink tap water). Beautiful view from the rooms (our was on 10th floor and it was enough, executive rooms are higher).Good buffet breakfast on 23d floor with panoramic view of the city.At the reception, they offer the breakfast for 12 EU/person for all the stay, instead of 16eu. Staff was very attentive and all were aimed to please with a smile on their faces. Will come again for sure!

There was no salads at the breakfast and selection of the vegetables was poor (but lots of meat, eggs, cheeses, pastries and fruit). We stayed for 5 days, and a breakfast was the same every day, no changes at all. Pillows could be more comfortable.

Good service from hotel staff. Room was clean, spacious, modern and comfortable. Wife's blow-dryer shorted out the room electrical and staff immediately fixed the issue with good attitude. High maintenance wife said lotions were of very good quality. A good value and 3 minute walk to the hi-speed train station (Sants). Would stay again.

Could use signage/labeling on switches and outlet plugs.

Just across the main railway station of Barcelona so very easy to reach by train from the airport; executive rooms are cozy, comfortable, good views of Barcelona; just across main bus station so easy for some excursions like to Andorra; very near to Plaza Espanya and Arena shopping mall that u can have excellent views from the top and also near to National Museum. Restaurant at the top of the hotel and relax areas have perfect views; small but nice gym and spa.

No currency exchange facility so u have to have euros with u to pay the hotel bill.

Appropriate location close to train station.

Limited use of wifi.

Very good. As advertised. Very well located for the metro and getting around town easily, but away from the noise and chaos of the center. Also, not far from a really nice shopping mall, convenient to a grocery store. Beautiful city views. Helpful personnel. Comfortable beds. Decent amount of space in the room.

Only that the ploy we encountered in several hotels was used here. "Your room is not ready yet, but if you would like to upgrade, we can get you right in." The upgrade fee was not excessive, 12 euros per day, compared to others who asked for 30 or more. And it probably was a higher floor.

Location right beside main Sants Estacio station, clean rooms, shower very powerful, view of montjuic, the restaurant on top floor, staff very helpful and friemdly!

The spa - only 2 of the 5 options for massage in the hydomassage pool were working, and when I told them, they didn't seem to care?

Reasonably priced, good quality hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location close to the main train station, easy to find and close to the Metro system. Local attractions within easy walking distance. Stunning views across Barcelona from the 23rd floor (breakfast or fine dining).

We stayed for a birthday weekend so wanted our hotel to be special and it didnt dissapoint. The hotel matched its description and photographs advertised. It was an excellent hotel providing modern spacious and well equipped rooms. Location was superb; right outside Sants railway station providing direct links to the airport and metro lines to all other destinations. We would definitely stay again.

Everything was very good but especially like the birthday cheesecake with a candle on my birthday provided by the Hotel . Nice touch

The location nearly opposite Barcelona Sans rail station was perfect for us. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was large and the bathroom facilities the best I've seen for a four star hotel. There were cafes, restaurants and a supermarket close by. Tea and coffee making facilities were also provided.

The only real drawback was the distance to the city centre but a metro was nearby.
