no coffee maker in the room
The hotel could do with revamping some of the areas
Staff a bit stiff
No lift from first floor, need to go up some stairs firts; this isn't so handy with 2 baby trolley's
very nice hotel with good quality and access to main Madrid places - 5-10 minutes to metro stations and 15 minutes to Retiro garden.
Conditioning during the night - I felt cold every night and I couldn't regulate room conditioning by myself((
* only 10 minutes walk to Retiro Park. * near to shopping area and supermarket. * easy to find food and pub.
* Bad sound prove in the room. can easily hear ppl talk or run in the corridoor. * Same breakfast menu everyday. Imagine i stayed in the hotel for two weeks.
Excelent location and very professional and friendly Staff :)
Wifi connection poor...
Hotel was large and nice, and helpful staff
Locality of hotel was in a very expensive area in madrid, called salamanca, so eating out and entertainment in this nearby area is very expensive!!!
A very comfortable hotel in a good location for all places of interest. This was our second year staying at this hotel. We look forward to staying there again next year.
There was nothing to dislike about this hotel.
Excellent location, stylish building and interior
Needs a face-lift. Rooms facing internal yard are rather dark and a lot of noise coming from ventilation
not much maybe a fair location and decent breakfast buffet
rooms were uncomfortable and run down beds were terrible staff was not motivated nor very helpful
Large rooms. Great location
Small elevator, staff not really helpful. Over all rooms were large but dated.
Close to Retiro Park with lake and on to Prado etc. As internal room there was no street noise.
Desiree at front desk super helpful.
Wonderful location. Perfect for business or leisure.
We were particularly pleased with the assistance provided by the staff in the reception. Busy as they were, as there aren't many of them, they were always kind and helpful in booking restaurants, giving us explanations with maps, etc. the breakfast is delicious, the suites are very well decorated, and the bar downstairs is excellent. We simply loved this hotel.
A business center, with two or three computers and printers would be helpful. Perhaps they might provide the hotel with a gym, not too big, but it would be very helpful to guests who stay as long as we did. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.
Good location, spacious rooms, good front desk service.
I had have a worse experience ever as someone came inside the room while I was asleep at 3am with another room-card!! The same person did the same another 2 times that night at 5am and at 7am even if I was screaming that that one it was my room, this person came till my bed to check who I was as she said that the hotel staff told her and gave her the keys of that room because her children were there!! For few seconds I saw myself stabbing for a crazy one! Till today the hotel didn't have gave me a logical answer regarding this dangerous situation. Unbelievable!!!
The hotel was great! Very pretty and comfortable and clean. The location was central to everything. We walked everywhere and it was close to everything.
The front desk staff was not very friendly and didn't go out of their way to be helpful. The bellman was helpful but they need to improve the staff that greet you at the desk. This is the second time that I stayed in this hotel and I was satisfied the 1st time but this time I wasn't pleased. Being of Spanish descent I was hoping that they would be friendlier. They shouldn't be in the hospitality business if they are that way. Won't be going back there fort next visit to Madrid.
Good location, classic hotel, good facilities, comfortable and well run
It needs a facelift. My parents used to stay here years ago and I don't think it's been touched since the 1990s. Everything feels a little bit tired and faded which is a pity as it's got a lot going for it.
Well situated for smart shopping
Location; lobby; some of the staff were friendly; the breakfast was fine.
Too much noise between the rooms, no sound insulation; my wifi didn't work; the hotel couldn't provide me with earplugs when I couldn't sleep because of noise in the other rooms; some staff were unfriendly; the food choice was limited in the restaurant.
