nice design hotel, well located. Friendly staff. Rooms on the small side but had a nice balcony.
- Great Location - Nice Styling - Nice Staff - Nice sized room - Very good value for money - Always again!
Eixample is a great location. On C. Aribau we went to cinc centits - fabulous restaurant.
Size of the room, very small
This hotel has good location near tourist attractions but not right in the centre - so provides good access to cafes and restaurants where locals go (and that provide great value for money). Staff could not be better, very helpful and polite. The room itself was clean and modern-looking. I took a single room, and for single the space was OK, coming from London I could expect even smaller size.
Unfortunately the room had little to no daylight as the only window faced inside the building and overlooked the elevator shaft. When you the window is open you can hear the elevator moving constantly, and other people coming through reception etc, so it had to stay closed. The aircon triggered minor asthma symptoms in me - perhaps due to dust / something else coming from the aircon system. I normally don't have such problems, but it did occur to me every time I used the aircon. One pair of legs of the bed has wheels on it (I think you can lock them) so when you sit on the bed against the wall the bed slides away. Even if the wheels themselves don't move the mattress slides away quite easily. I had to block the mattress against the opposite wall with a chair to prevent it. The duvet is put on top of another bed sheet, and not in a real duvet-cover. I understand that it's easier to change, but that's not my personal preference as it gets messy very quickly, and the bed sheet is massive for the size of the bed. Internet access is very slow and generally unreliable - sometimes it just stops working / would not load a page, even though you do get decent wifi reception most of the time.
Location and facilities
The first photo of the pool is from a private pool in the hotel that not all the guests can use.The one all can use is also good but much smaller.
Very stylish. Great facilities and staff.
Bit pricy for my tastes, but worth it if you have the money to spend.
All one bedrooms has no windows, its very dark disregard of the interior design?!
Fantastic Location . Beautiful Hotel . very comfy single room . friendly and helpful staff
the only down side was the room I was in (204) was the centre of a lot of noise. at certain times there was a lot of door slamming and the room was right next to the lift also basically any noise was heard x10 . other than this issue it is a great hotel
The breakfast is awful!
The swimming pool was not cleaned during the 3 days of our booking!
The welcoming staff (always eager to help) The classy rooms, with perfect furnitures The somptuous bathroom Really? Everything!
The paying parking space (20 € a day...)
I really liked the hotel, have stayed there several times in the past. Comfortable rooms & beds
When I asked to change my room since it was literally by the reception. the staff didn't even try to accommodate my request. I was totally ignored, bearing in mind that i had stayed there several times before. So hence I was returning because I liked the hotel. However I decided not to extend my stay and checked out and immediately checked into the hotel right opposite. which was a great relief :) Granados 83 you have just lost a customer who had stayed at your hotel at least 5 times before
General atmosphere was relaxing, most staff very helpful, the rest quite helpful. many excellent place to eat & drink nearby. Rooms quiet.
Bathroom should be cleaned to a higher standard.
Nice design rooms and very helpful staff! When i asked for an other hairdryer because the one in the room was travel size, they brought me a professional one. Ask for the rooms with access to the small pool
The first day we had a ground floor room right in front of the reception. Was noisy from morning and no privacy. Even the window looks at the lobby and everybody passing can see you
Great location Staff very helpful and professional. Had to do some business here and staff were always glad to assist with fax and scanning. Breakfast good for continental. Rooms lovely.
Not much Would definitely stay here again when in Barcelona.
Cool design, nice and fresh. Lots of cafés, bars and restaurants in the area. Friendly staff.
Location and facilities Helpful staff
Location is great. The hotel and furniture is updated. It is clean. No very cheap on weekend days, but that's Barcelona.
A little bit noisy in the morning after 09:00 from the corridor. I told that to the reception in my check-out and they took a note really worry about it.
Classy Hi Tech Hotel - A Blend of Classic culture with Modern Luxury! A true 5 Star comfort without a real swimming pool. Great Location less than 100 meters to the underground. Staff is extremely attentive, polite and informative!
central location quiet street friendly staff
Preference of travelling groups to individual travellers. Our express wish (emphasized twice in advance) to stay in rooms on a high floor was not taken into consideration because of a group occupying all twin rooms (although we booked a twin room and a double room). For the first night we were put in two rooms on lobby level with practically no daylight and no privacy. Opening the door meant to be face to face with people crowding the lobby. Upon our resolutely expressed dismay we were given rooms on the fourth floor the other day which were quite nice (with a balcony to the backyard), but one of them was so small that we didn't have room to store one of our suitcases properly. Considering the fact that this was only a 4 day stay and a birthday present for our daughter, the lodging issue was very unpleasant. The crew was friendly, but didn't really seem to bother. The receptionist hid himself behind the (formally correct) argument, that the hotel never ever guarantees the fulfillment of booking wishes. Reservation procedures seem to be quite chaotic. The reception couldn't tell us at 8.00 am in which rooms we would be definitely lodged at 2.00 pm. So if you are an individual traveller and have special preferences relating to your room you should choose a hotel which takes customer's wishes more seriously or at least expresses some kind of regret if guest preferences cannot be fulfilled. Furniture in our rooms was quite worn (renovation is definitely overdue) and there were cleaning issues (especially in the bathroom and under the bed). We will definitely come back to Barcelona but not to this hotel.
location and staff are grate
Very interesting design, great staff. Thoroughly recommend this as a base for a stay in Barcelona.
Hotel staff gave excellent recommendations for restaurants.
Excellent location, amenities, and staff
The room itself did not have a window so it felt cramped.
Great rooms and staff was very friendly. Location was also good.
