We really liked the location and surroundings of the hotel- beautiful beach, a good place to swim in the ocean, many good restaurants and music-bars around with live music, peace and quiet by the pool as it is an adults only hotel, good breakfast and lunch at the hotel with friendly staff.

A most unbelievable thing happened to us on the last day of March. My brand-new I-phone, my husband`s watch and sun-glasses an a small amount of cash were stolen from our beach bag while we were having lunch by the pool. We left our things between our sun-beds in a zipped bag as it all seemed very safe there, but as soon as everybody around us had left for lunch someone took advantage of the situation. So better be careful as there is only one person working by the pool and strangely enough the place around our beds had needed watering in the middle of the day while we were away. After reporting to the police it turned out that security in the pool-area is almost non-existent. The staff in the reception was also non-sufficient.

The pool, which was large, heated and never overcrowded. The quiet. Location away from hustle and bustle. Helpful, friendly staff. Proximity to one of the best beaches in the area. Lack of children.

Lack of pool towels until the last day. Lack of sun on the terrace. Location of the junior suite was probably the worst location for that type of room; "sea view" was marred by other buildings. A fair walk to restaurants frequented by "locals". Somewhat pricey!

Nice hotel with nice superior suites with comfortable beds. Beautiful surroundings, spectacular view, close to Tenerifes best beach and nice shopping center. Angelo, the poolman gave us excellent service. Secondino, chef of the restaurant and his staff, Kimberly and the other cooks, made us the most superb canarian food you can ask for. We wanted local canarian food, and local, fresh and special food we got. We gained 5 kilos each in two weeks.

The entrance to the hotel is dark and not very friendly. Small walk in closets in spaceous suites. The bottom of the pool had a lot of leaves after heavy rain and wind. The smell in some places at the poolarea was bad. The food from roomservice could be better, not a 5 star quality. The towels in the bathroom sometimes had a bad smell. No internet connection in rooms

..... made to feel special, hotel staff were brilliant, lovely and peaceful - no screaming kids, room had a sea view, luxury bathroom, shopping malls - in fact hotel was perfect for us.

Grand Hotel El Mirador is in the best location in Costa Adeje, 2 mins walk from the beach and several restaurants. It is also a lovely relaxing hotel with a beautiful pool area.

Fantastic hotel, with excellent restaurants. No children.

We had booked a 'superior junior suite'. My wife had selected this especially because of the large terrace. When we arrived (quite late we saw that the room had a tiny balcony. There was also a large (almost the length of the room) dark grey stain on the beige tiles. According to the hotel, Booking.com had provided the wrong details.Although Booking.com had confirmed in writing the large spacious terrace facility, El Mirador said they were wrong. In my opinion and according to our details from Booking.com the hotel owed me a refund of around £150. They did move us to a room with a large terrace, but by then we had spent two nights in the smaller facility. I challenged them about this at the end of the five days, but they said my issue was with Booking.com not them. Despite this problem, we did think the hotel was excellent.

The staff could not have been any better. Nothing was too much trouble for them from start to finish. Don't think we have stayed in a better hotel. Good age range of other guests for us. Not any children so nice and peaceful/relaxing.

We regularly stay in El Duque but this hotel is by far the best so far. It is outstandingly beautiful, we had a junior sea view suite which was perfect, they have thought of everything and it is luxurious, comfortable, and elegant. The service is first class, and staff are really well trained, they look after you to perfection & nothing is too much trouble. Fantastic laundry service, items washed and pressed and returned same day. The sunbeds are soft with fresh toweling covers replaced for every client, & towels provided, the lifeguard is attentive and places the beds and umbrellas for you. Waiter service poolside for drinks. Everything you would expect of a 5 star luxury hotel without being over priced. We enjoyed lunch in the restaurant daily, but we enjoy eating out so didn't use the hotel for dinner but fabulous restaurants are on the doorstep, La Torre de Mirador is joined to it, Acanto, and La Nonna are next door, El Duque beach is opposite, this is Tenerife at it's finest and we would highly recommend the Iberostar Grand Hotel El Mirador.

Beautiful & stunning hotel, better that the pictures! We were upgraded to a private pool suite which was lovely and very quiet. Lovely boutiques on the hotel complex. The staff were very approachable. The breakfast was amazing with something for everyone. Located in a very quiet area but just a stones throw away from the beach. The hotel had everything you needed and more. The room was cleaned promptly after leaving for the day but this could have been because the hotel was generally quiet for the first week in August.

The hotel was also a wedding location and the weekend proved quite noisy with a dj on until early hours of the morning. It would have preferred it if the hotel had notified the guests of the events as we planned for an early night and didn't get it! Although it stated it was an adults only hotel, there were some older children and we did hear a baby one night which could have been to do with the wedding party.

If you're planning a visit to Tenerife, there is NO other place to stay than El Mirador. The property is 1st Class all the way. The location, the view, beach access, food and staff are best of the best. We took a car around the island so I can confidently say this is the ONE. I was traveling with my mother so this is not your typical lovey-dovey place -- but it is adult only, which is the main reason I chose it.

If I had one complaint, the wi-fi did not reach our room -- 4th floor. But it was great down by the pool

Great service and excellent facilities! One of the best hotels I have visited!

So relaxing and excellent service. Good breakfast and excellent food in the evening at the poolside restaurant. A great retreat will return soon , try the fish restaurant infront of the beach also called the Miromar

Excellent location and plenty of space to relax with a number of good restaurants within 100m of the hotel Would certainly consider going again

Zeer vriendelijk en efficiënt personeel. Rustige en fraaie locatie. Nooit het gevoel van "overbevolking" in de tuin, aan het zwembad of in één van de restaurants. Goed gelegen voor wandelingen langs het strand. Direct in de buurt van twee leuke en stijlvolle shopping centra

De haperingen in de beschikbaarheid van het internet en de wifi. Nach/ochtenlawaai door vroege vertrekkers.

Hotellet är fantastiskt! Vi har varit där 3 gånger nu.Rummen stor ljusa med havsutsikt.Poolområdet är litet och mysigt som din egen trädgård,nära till stranden.Maten under fransk kock är mycket bra.Nära till mycket fint shoppingcenter. Allt är bra.

Inget att klaga på.

Wi-Fi fungerer ikke på værelserne og vi brugte en uge på at få det forbedret uden held. Et Hotel hvor vi betaler mere end 600 Euro per dag per værelse bør have Wi-Fi. Prisen passede ikke med aftalen. Vi havde booket værelser med halvpension for cirka 95.000,- DKK men prisen blev et godt stykke over 100.000,- DKK for en uge (8 personer, 3 værelser). Mindre ting: Bordtennisbat uduelige, squash ketsjerer knækkede og tennisbanefaciliteter ikke optimale. Mange mindre ting ikke gennemførte.
