Score from 1387 reviews Excellent
Beautiful luxurious historic hotel right by the harbour. Very clean, comfortable rooms and beds.
New Year's party was very festive, very elegant, exquisite but the offered food was very poor. Even though there is a kettle in the room, one has to buy coffee/tea. It took 2 days until I got the requested 2 tea bags.
Everything including all the staff whom are frieds of mine as ive been going there for 30 years
wifi was not easily obtained
Tiny room situated next to mechanical services. Nightmare-ishly noisy. Eventually given another room. Where on earth are you given kettle and sugar in your room and expected to pay for tea bags! 4.5euros - ridiculous. Breakfast is super overpriced as is a cup of tea.
hotel style staff very attentive and friendly location amenities
Real 5 star (no tourist class 5 star). Classy and very professional approach. Major experstise and knowledge of 5 star service. Little details make the difference. Wonderful and very stylish decoration and interior. Grand old Spanish style. But expect to pay the price for this high level service.
Spa requires an update
Great hotel and stay except comment under didn't like.
The noise from the dry bar above at 7 in the morning was not good, it was the only disappointing aspect of our stay, it should be corrected.
The classic style of the hotel. The sauna and indoor pool. The comfort in general. Friendly staff.
I had big problems with Gran Melia's firewall. I connected easily to the Wi-Fi, but getting through to the Internet was successful in one try out of five! The hotel's computer support was not familiar with Apple and could not help about the firewall problem.
The overall quality of the room was excellent. Great wi fi and very good amenities in the bathroom. The breakfast was very nice as was the pool area. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Please move away from the split full size bed and move to having one large mattress. In the lobby they were using too much air freshener.
This is the third stay at the Grand Melia Victoria this year. It is excellent in terms of location for a weekend in Palma. Just out of the centre overlooking the Marina. The interior of the Hotel is splendidly appointed with antiques, comfortable seating areas. The reception area is quite vast. The staff are all without exception couteous and friendly. The rooms are immaculate, clean and well appointed.Breakfast is very good with everything on offer including an 'egg chef'! We had two suppers outside on the Terrace which were both good: as was the service. The Hotel is quite grand, having a feeling of well appointed luxury from a bygone age. Some people may consider it expensive but I always think you get what you pay for!
As ever lovely Palma is just the most easy place to spend an autumn weekend .. The Gran Melia Victoria ticks so many boxes .. under stated traditional and charming .. from the wonderful welcome on the door to the pool man with the soft towels .. all meals were delicious and all ages enjoyed things in their own way .. charming rooms with great sizes for our various needs. You can park your hire car under the hotel for a small cost and nip in and out .. so that makes using the hire car easy and accessible. A top tip is to take a long lunch by the pool with a jug of gorgeous white sangria .. tossed prawns and mixed leaf salad ... it will be a lovely lunch to remember as we looked over the marina.
This is not the fault of the hotel but that of the hotel group As you know we Brits function (generally) with a good cup of tea first thing in the morning .. at this hotel in your room you get a kettle, the sugar and a cup but no explanation of where to find the other items. You actually have to ring room service for tea bags and milk at a cost of E4.50 .. !!!!!! The front desk say that it is the greatest barrier to repeat business as this small and not so expensive gesture makes the average 4/5 star guest get rather irritated - so come on Melia Group - make a change why don't you?!
The service was good and the quality of furnishing high. The breakfast on the terrace with a magnificent view of the marina was exceptional.
However its very noisy being next to a dual carraigeway. That might have been bearable but the hotel insists on playing cheesy chill music from 10am in the morning until midnight in all public places including the pool. Its fully audible from the bedroom balconies so even when the traffic dies down you hear dreadful music. Such a shame because otherwise a nice hotel
very comfortable hotel with good facilities. also a nice lively vibe about the place
Breakfast could have been a little better for this standard of hotel
Pricey but good
Breakfast with sea view
Long waiting at check in Very unprofessional for melia Rooms under all quality level i ve ever seen All public places in th ehotel were very, very old Room comfort was below 3 * level ...and before as a single traveller they ve putted us in the cellar, it smelled like an humidity place. To a special booking rate of 170€!! Including breakfast for a single occupancy room of this quality, the worst value for money i ve ever discovered in palma de mallorca. Bookimg should invistigate to these pratcices of this hotel
Having stayed in many top class Hotels throughout the World this ranks amongst the best. Great location, staff courteous and helpful. The Hotel itself has wonderful communual areas with antique furnishings. Terrace areas are superb with fine views over Palma Marina. As we only had one night in between flights we settled for a basic double. This was still well appointed and very comfortable. This was in fact our second visit after a trip in March. We are returning for a long weekend next week.
Dinner was very disappointing. Not up to the standard expected. However the breakfasts are great!
Great location, view of Marina & Cathedral fantastic. All staff helpful, very friendly and certainly made our stay enjoyable. The room was spacious with nice furnishings, room was very clean.
If I'm being "picky" the breakfast area was cramped & not much choice compared to other Melia hotels we have stayed at, I wouldn't like to be there in peak season. We had a meal on the terrace which was nice but the food was only warm, I know we could have mentioned it but we didn't. Saying that we would definitely recommend the hotel and will certainly be going back.
Nice touch from the hotel to leave a bottle of fizz on our anniversary. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff all very friendly and helpful.
Can't think of any negatives about the hotel. A bit of noise at night from people going to and from the nightclub, but that is not the hotels fault.
dark 'luxury' room with a side balcony that gets no sun had to pay to upgrade to a lighter room with front balcony
Lovely location overlooking the harbour, in particular terrace bar great. Pool lovely, staff great & generally all round great hotel.
Food & drink very expensive ..... 5.50€ for a small fanta!!!
Car parking is difficult locally and expensive at his hotel location
I have nothing bad to report about this hotel, everything from start to finish was 5 star...the staff are extremely personable and professional and the facilities are fantastic...can't wait to return.
Excellent room. Bed and pillows were superb
Red Level service, forget it, 6 people in the lounge its full!!!. Supposed to have review during our stay!!!, nothing happened. Overrated and very overpriced, ideal for the over 80s
lovely rooms, beautiful bar area outside, friendly, helpful staff,
can't think of anything!
