Excellent location in the heart of the city. Excellent breakfasts.

Location - it is really several minutes walk from Catalunya Square, and a metro station is within 50 metres.

I booked many months in advance, and still could not get a top floor room which I had asked for.

The room was not completely clean

It's location, the fact that it was a 19th c. palace on one of the main avenues in Barcelona. It was near just about everything : the old city and the newer Eixample.

The shower curtain was a bit short and water would spill on the floor on a regular basis.

The location was great..Close to all importaNT LAND MARKS AND SHOPPING AND RESTAURANTS. The room was VERY clean and hotel was authentic old world. Refrig in room was handy for doing breakfast in room before heading out.

The room was very small and it was somewhat noisy. Construction next door and busy street outside front. We used white-noise and had no problem

The hotel was old fashioned but charming. It had character and none the blandness of 'corporate hotels'.

The room was very noisy at times due to building work being carried out. We were not made aware of this either at the booking stage or when we checked in at the hotel. However - it did not spoil the holiday and we would certainly go back to this hotel.

An old style hotel, great location in a normally quiet area, but the jackhammers woke me at 8am. Had a fridge! Good size bathroom. I booked a double room as a single traveller.

Very little natural light entry, Very dark.

Location was 'spot on' for sight seeing, restaurants, shopping etc., Staff gererally very helpful, nothing too much trouble answered our numerous questions and gave advice. On the last day we had breakfast which was very good, giving a choice of hot and cold food.

As we were a party of 3 ladies we would have appreciated another mirror in the bedroom.

Luxurious traditional surroundings, spacious room, good buffet breakfast, excellent location. hotel agreed to honour their offer of a free breakfast for bookings over 4 nights, which was very good of them.

male receptionist whilst checking out was unfriendly and unprofessional, a shame as the rest of the staff were ok. reception also lost our room key, after insisting we hand it in each time we left the hotel. lift was far too small for size of hotel.

Staff was helpful and very nice. Hotel was in an amazing location (metro right outside, short walk to many interests, shops, and cafes). Hotel was very well taken care of and clean!

The location is right at city center and a short walk to Las Ramblas one way and several Gaudi buildings and designer shopping the other way. It is also in a safe neighborhood and very close to the Metro station.

Despite the positive reviews I must say I was extremely disappointed in my room. The bed was hard, the shower hardly fit a grown man (not to mention that at first the water was cold and then it suddenly turned to scalding and after I complained it was "repaired" and then I had just cool water), the sink water smelled like rotten eggs, the walls were so thin that I heard my neighbors and I had an uninvited guest - a water bug in my shower the size of a tarantula. Other than that, it was perfect! Caveat emptor.

location and good space in rooms. The "garden" area with play area was very nice. The food served there was ok, but it was nice that it was possible to have food there.

The beds were a bit hard, but it was okay for two nights. For longer stays it would be a problem.

This is a very classy old hotel with monogrammed towels, sheets, etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful, free wifi and a couple of open computers, very quiet on the terrace where our room was located, four English TV channels. Brealkfast was worth the 11 euros.

It is getting a little worn and could use some sprucing up.

The hotel boasts fantastic design that makes it look like a 4-star hotel, conveniently located in the very heart of Barcelona it is still a calm place.

The location was good and the hotel was very efficient and well run.

Staff seemed to be a little stressed at times. I suspect that they are subject to substantial work demands.

Everything was excellent here. The location is perfect, only one step to Catalonia Sqare, airport shuttle bus or Passeo de Gracia. The staffs were really nice at the reception desk, and also in the restaurant. The breakfast contained varied food. We were in BCN many times, and i have to say it was the best hotel for this money in this area! So we just loved this place, and we recommend to everyone to stay here!

We requested a quiet room, and it was perfect, away from the main boulevard. Breakfasts at Granvia were buffet style with large selection of fruits, ham, pastries and juices. Helpful staff for tours, taxis, and directions.

Vending machine in lovely courtyard seems out of place, and there is nothing to indicate when it is empty of beverages.
