I used to be a regular customer due to its location, friendly staff, and nicely decorated rooms. While standing there, the "Bell Captain" did not offer any help to offload our luggage from taxi or carry it to our room. Receptionist kept replying in Spanish when she talked to in English. There was no bath towel, and when asked, never delivered. Room was noisy, and poorly decorated. It used to be as good as a 5-star a year ago, and it's barely a 3-star now. |

Convenient location to all the museums. Easy to walk to anywhere we needed to go - close to restaurants, city bus tour, etc. We would have liked for breakfast to have started earlier than 7:30 am. Especially would have liked to have coffee available early. |

Nice room, staff very helpful, great location near major museums and restaurants. They still allow smoking in the lobby and rooms. We requested a no smoking room. They had rooms expressly designated as no smoking and you could tell that someone had previously smoked in our room. Spain in general as a problem with smoking in bars, restaurants and other public areas. |

Breakfast was very nice, although it would have been expensive if it hadn't been included in the price of our stay. Although we were staying in a non smoking room, you could often smell smoke coming from the corridor and in the corridor. You could also hear noise from the floors above. |
