- lunch and dinner are served in two ~90-min time periods like in a camp
- staff's attitude towards guests
- soap wasn't changed a single time for 7 nights, so we had either to buy a piece in a shop or to "steal" one from a trolley
I would like to comment on the hotel's staff attitude. As mentioned earlier, dinner and lunch are served in two time periods. Your time period is set at your arrival. One evening we failed to come to dinner at our designated time, we were about 5 minutes late. However we decided to try our luck and went to the restaurant. When we came up to the restaurant's manager and asked her whether it was a big problem to seat us just once at the "wrong time", she said: "Yes, it IS a problem and you should NOT come at this time". She did seat us, of course, but everyone working at a hotel should know that guests cannot be treated as posing problems. I wonder how other Spanish and Turkish hotels manage to seat hundreds of people at 3-4 hour periods while at H10 Delfin it was a problem to seat us at a 90-min dinner period.
Our experience with other hotels in Spain is that a restaurant is open for over 2 hours at lunch and dinner and staff gives a different table each time you come. Somehow, there are never problems with the restaurant's capacity.
Also a waiter asked us whether we wanted drinks a couple of times during our 7-night stay. I guess that our first "no" to his question about drinks at the first meal made him think we would not want a drink at all for future meals.
And basically no friendly atmosphere at the reception. Simply check in and simply check out. No questions, no inquiries. Once we needed a pen, because there wasn't one in our room but we had to stay for 5 minutes at the reception waiting for someone to pay attention to us. We could have made a sound of course to attract attention of the not busy staff but it;s not the kind of service H10 prides itself on.
- design of rooms and lobby
- a bath (not a shower)
- generally the hotel is pretty nice, though there are a couple of things that made our stay not as good as we hoped
