The location was perfect, by taxi 10 minutes from Palma, 4 from puerto portals and 5 from Palma nova. The surrounding sea view and private beach coves were beautiful. The hotel was very clean. There were always taxis nearby and when called by the hotel arrived within 2 or 3 minutes. The bar food by the pool was nice but expensive.

The wifi was appalling. You could not stay here if you needed internet access at all. The pool areas were nice but very few sun beds which were "reserved" with towels from a very early hour. The beach coves were beautiful for a swim but there was only enough sand at each for maximum 4 people to lie out. This is a very family oriented resort with lots of kids which we hadn't anticipated as the photos of the resort made it look more adult or couple friendly. The staff were not overly helpful and didn't have a lot of useful advice when it came to beaches and restaurants. Room service stopped at an early hour. We requested a late check out as our flight wasn't until late evening but were told it was not possible so we had to leave our bags at reception and shower at the indoor pool was was less than a pleasant experience to end our stay at the hotel.

Private bays, plenty of places to lounge without feeling crowded. Beautiful grounds.

Horrible wifi service I did not feel like I was in Spain, all the guests and most of the staff were German! They only served lunch until 2:00 and dinner until 10:30!!! This is not Spain!!!

Too few sun chairs by pool. Too many chairs reserved with towels early in the morning and not used during the day

The room was modern & light! Possibility to take breakfast at the swimming pool (but less choice than in the restaurant) The kindness of the waiters in the restaurant

The view of the sea was a bit covered by trees.

We have been several times and just love the location. The staff are so, so helpful and really go out of their way to sort out any problems. The restaurant has improved hugely and we ate 'in' quite a few times, although the food is expensive it is always beautifully served. We also liked the new 'chill area' and the way you have enclosed the restaurant with sliding glass doors. The pool beds are superb! Just hope we can afford to return next year!

We had to change our room after one night, as the bathroom was so small. We relocated to room 219 which is an amazing size, with superb bathroom, but it is incredibly hot! The air con was working, but sadly it is not positioned in the correct area to give any relief over the bed area. It was also a really bad room for mosquitoes - we have never had trouble at the Punta Negra before. We also thought that perhaps there was some heating housed under our room in the basement as the floor was also warm under the bed area! A lovely room but could not stay in it again the way it is. The bathroom lighting is very efficient but also creates a huge amount of heat. I think a dress code for the restaurant would be a good idea and perhaps an early supper facility for children - they spoil the atmosphere in the restaurant in the evening.

location and view from the rooms. Rented bikes at the hotel for easy access to Palma Nova and Portals Nous.

Drinks and food service around the pool would have been nice. Wifi was very slow and intermittent.

The booking was for my parents, who spent their honeymoon at Punta Negra, 43 years ago. Of course lots has changed since then, however we had a great time, service staff were great, breakfast was excellent, so no complaints! We preferred eating main meals at local restaurants, as it was great walking to and from the hotel.

the 'sofabed' in the villas was so narrow i thought i'd fall off each time i moved, so i ended up sleeping on the floor. a full sofabed would certainly be more comfortable.

    Great location.

The air conditioning was not available during this time of year, even though the staff lied and said it was. Only the technician finally told us the truth. Also, the eggs were very soupy. Also, a dog across the street (at a house) barked ALL night long (the desk staff acted oblivious). Finally, we had a pair of shorts blow onto the promenade below us and the staff refused to help us get them back, despite easy accessibility through several other guest rooms or a ladder.

Excellent location directly at the seafront on a private peninsula, outstanding breakfast buffet

Difference between renovated and non-renovated rooms. The latter desparately require a makeover. However, any room is very clean.
