Charming place, great location, comfortable room (unfortunately without exterior window), helpful staff - would gladly return.

Even though it was very cold day, the room was too warm for me so I turn (what I thought it was) the cold AC on and left the room.Unfortunately in winter the AC system blows hot air only, so on my return the room was so hot to be unconfortable. The staff was most helpful and put me in another room (which was too warm for me, but what to do). Perhaps it's a good place to stay in summer.

Location was very good, room was fine though we had to be moved from the first room due to constant noise from the wc in the bathroom. Pleasant atmosphere.

The breaskfast was not very good value with limited choice in the buffet.

The price point for the locaiton is good. The cafe in the hotel. Wifi worked.

Dark rooms. Some more craped than others. Beds were soft but aged, I could feel the springs starting to come through. 2 english language news chanels. After one night I moved to a hotel around the corner, little more money, much better all round. Lots of lobey noise as thats where room face onto. Staff seem not to understand this reality.

Lighting in the room was very gloomy. Difficult to read in there.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Directly facing the mezquita/catedral with walking distance to all attractions and tapas bars. Excellent staff. Characterful design. Very comfortable bed and luxury room. Sumptuous breakfast despite being a small hotel.

Location to Mezquita and old town, nice public areas

No daily maid service, very small room (only 1.5 feet around bed between bed and wall), no air circulation and room was very warm in december.

The hotel is situated right next to the Mezquita - perfect for walking around the old quarter of the city. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are small but ful of character.

An incredibly charming old-world experience in a truly fascinating town. A last- minute flash deal kind courtesy of Booking.Com compelled me to choose this atmospheric property over the previously booked Macia Alfaros and there have been absolutely no regrets ever since. Ideally located behind the centuries-old walls of the fabled La Mezquita (silent chroniclers of a glorious past), the public rooms of this little gem have been arranged with exquisite taste and a keen eye for detail. Each piece has been lovingly handpicked and strategically positioned for an almost theatrical effect. Beauty without the slightest trace of the glaringly ostentatious. The verdant patio is a joy to 'inhabit', 'claim' and 'reclaim', particularly romantic when subtly lit up by those hanging lamps, evenings onward. Comfortable room, if not exactly commodious- single travellers need not be cramped, particularly when a double room has been specifically requested for- Functional bathroom topped with a gorgeous gilded framed mirror, ample toiletries, sanitary fittings betraying no trace of sleek modernity and a small but convenient wash basin in pink marble surroundings. Charming- utterly charming- no palatial grandeur for sure! The staffers? Uniformly courteous and friendly. An iron along with its accompanying board was provided immediately upon request as were plates, glasses and the necessary cutlery for that odd snack or two in the room. No real complaints really. Reminded me of my tenure at the Meson El Cid in monumental Burgos way back in 2008- similar period-film enchantment on a humbler scale.

International telephone calls can get prohibitively expensive. Avoid, unless absolutely imperative.

It's location was superb. Right next to the Alcazar and restaurants/bars yet quiet. The rooms opened onto internal courtyard. Opulent, calming and nicely decorated. Very attentive staff

Breakfast in windowless basement - ok in November but a little stuffy.

That it was near attractions.

Didn't like that it not was window to open air. In the absence of windows to open air, it should bi air condition. No existed air condition. The staff were not very willing to solve my problems.

the location and the style and the staff

The location is perfect as just outside the walls of Mesquita and there are good restaurants close by with easy access to all city attractions. Friendly, helpful staff and a good size , well lit bathroom. Wifi is free and good service.

It's very gloomy in the rooms as lighting is very minimal. No central lighting and very inconvenient for any reading. The bathroom supplies were not replenished daily.

We enjoyed the traditional Spanish decor, the spaciousness of our room (although some are smaller), the helpful staff and the excellent location, across the street from the Mezquita.It was very good value accommodation in a delightful town.
