Located in beautiful countryside. The view from our room and the patio were lovely. We enjoyed the long walk each evening up into Ronda. Breakfast was fair with warm fresh bread everyday.

Our double room was tiny. The bed was barely big enough for the 2 of us and was pushed up against the wall. The cheap nasty margarine/spread for breakfast should have been left off the table!

Would be a nice retreat for a romantic getaway if some extras were available. The setting was lovely and it was nice to wake up and look out over the green pastures and see the mist.

We had to pay a taxi to lead the way as we were from Australia and there was no signage. No tea or coffee available. We were told we could order dinner but you have to order by 3pm. As we were travelling we had no way of knowing this. We got there about 5pm and had nothing to eat or drink that night. Lucky we had water and some biscuits and fruit in the car. It was a chilly night and there was a nice open fire place but no wood or kindling to make a fire. Rooms were cold. No one spoke any english at all.

    The view is very beautiful.

The road to the hotel is dirty and curling trail - no asphalt. Not very pleasant to drive especially when it rains or in the dark. The manager doesn't speak english! There is nothing near the hotel, if you want to eat - drive to Ronda. The reception is closing early at the evening - there is no one in the hotel except the guests. If you have any questions - wait for the morning. The room is very simple and small. If it rains and you can't travel - you have nothing to do. The window in the room is a door to outside and has no net. If you want fresh air in the night you need to open this door - a little frightening especially when you live at the first floor.

The location is beautiful but it was a bit wasted on us. If you like walking and horse-riding this would be a great place for you but we are more city people. The views are nice and it is easy to get to Ronda by car. It is signposted off the main road before you get to Ronda, keep you eyes peeled as we missed the signs first time!

The room was very small and not worth the money in my view. Our room only had a view of the courtyard and there was a funny smell. I found this strange as the hotel did not seem to be full so they could have given us a better room. The breakfast was disgusting, a plate of the cheapest meats they could find in dia. Also, when we arrived there was nobody there to check us in. I called the number on the door, no answer. It wasn't a big deal, we decided to go to Ronda and have some lunch but if you had specific plans when you arrived it would have been annoying.

Not the worst place I've stayed but not good value for money, particularly given the good deals in Spain at this time.

I didn't like the big wrought-iron sort of window guards on the wall at the top of the bed - uncomfortable to lean on and a permanent trap for cracking your head. I wasn't keen on breakfast. One had to shout through to the back of the cafeteria bit for more tea or coffee; there was toast and pot of generic, supermarket jam on the table, ditto a tub of margarine. There was a plate of salami slices: we returned these as we don't eat meat. Nothing came in its place - no eggs, no cheese. So, basically, breakfast is tea and toast.

Esther went out of her way to facilitate us with information. As we had no car it was a pleasant walk of almost an hour to Ronda.

it was cold at night when we were there in februari

We liked the homeliness and the vistas

A bit of a rough road for access and the coffee not the best

Character and style. The views were excellent

    Food and scarce customer service.

The location is fantastic. Totally set back in the countryside, yet a five-minute drive to downtown Ronda! Absolutely worth the extra trip. We were the only guests, so I don't know how it's like when you stay there with other guests. There was no noise at all at night. Total silence. Amazing views at night and in the morning. The junior suite is called "Sa Garrocha". It's rather a good-size double room, yet very nicely decorated. The owner is very nice and helpful. Lots of charme and rural style in this unique hacienda!

I wouldn't recommend the normal double room as it's rather small. Still, it's totally worth the money!

The location and outlook were impressive. We were made very welcome, though the lady spoke only a little English.

It was difficult to find, even with a sat-nav. The road is very poor and quite steep in places - it would be tricky on a wet day.
