Very nice location Close to metro station
Horrible way of welcomming, I had to call the bell for more than 15 times and young boy came out and told that intercomn is not working. There was 15 more minutes wait for getting the room ready. And room was ok. Later no body was there from staff till check out. Breakfast is soooo basic. I will reccomand it if some one is in barcelona for one night on business trip, if you want to go for vacations to barcecolna, it is not right place for u
Perfect stay, owner very helpfull, rooms clean and just renovated, very nice breakfast ;)
Very poor cleanness, dirty surroundings, kitchen and WC look terrible at all, owner and staff do not speak English and are quite rude also do not provide any useful information.
Location is great!Close to the center.and the interior is nice.
In one room instead if 2 people lived 6!and after them it was impossible to use the bathroom. And the ate all it was made for breakfast.we recommend the owners of this hostel to check how many people exactly live in the room.
It was really nice to have those big jugs of drinking water available in the lobby (since you have to pay for bottled water everywhere) along with snacks. It was close to a metro and inexpensive compared to most places in Barcelona.
Since you're going with inexpensive here, you can't expect too much. The room was tiny and could barely fit our luggage. Some travelers who came in after us apparently booked a reservation and then was told there was no room. It was also very hard to communicate with the "staff" which I found surprising for a hostel. And, almost a month after our stay and after I had paid, I was charged over $1,600 usd out of nowhere! As a student this is really upsetting.
The hotel took charge from my card 4 times instead of 1. It took a lot of time to get my money back. This situation screw up my mood on the holidays. The owner of the hotel is very strange person, he tried to cheat me and get my money.
friendly staff, nice location
Some customers was very noisy.
I would highly not recommend the hotel. In the room they gave me - there were lots of bedbuds! Just luckily I noticed them immediately, before leaving for the whole day... Also the staff said, that they know (!) about this problem in the room but still try to rent it to guests!
there were some cakes and fruits like banana, kiwi etc. at the common area of the floor.
the air conditioner was not in the room. they mention about the a.c. which is in the common area. the water bottles are empty, in the common area, so the water machine had no meaning. the room was not cleaned during 3 days we stayed. the towels are not clean. we noticed that we slept with small insects on our bed while we were leaving. as we arrived home, we directly put our clothes to the balcony to clean the insects
Near to La Rambla.
Terrible matrace, we were sleeping in the middle on each other. Administrator didn't speak english. Breakfast - what? That couldn't be named like that - there was almost nothing to eat. Bathroom was dusty and I don't know if that was clean - I was afraid of it. Never again.
Nothing! This place is dreadful and overpriced for a hostel please see negative remarks
This place is AWFUL and scary! I cannot understand the good reviews people have left for this dreadful place! Firstly I'm generally a very relaxed and chilled out person and have backpacked and stayed in some truly rubbish places so believe me I wasn't expecting miracles I mean it's a hostal after all but this place is an absolute disgrace and should not be on booking.com! Firstly I couldn't find the place, so I rang the telephone number and no one spoke English I waited on the street of what I thought to be the correct block until someone from one of the buildings came out to 'I spy' and try to find me. The mattress was the most awful I have EVER slept in, it was so bad I woke up several times with awful neck and back pains. The next day I thought my spine had had it for good!!! I even attempted to sleep on the tile floor it was that bad! They do not provide towels either! Had I known this I would have brought my own. The thing that infuriates me most is that there are hostels throughout this city which cost half- HALF - the price and you get so much more for your money (there are even some with swimming pools which cost £35 for a 2 night stay!!) this place is not only pricey for a hostel it's a complete dump. Oh and by the way the pretty photos on booking.com in NO WAY represents this place, my room was just hideous. Its not clean either! Oh and another thing, I actually quite like a lot of noise from the street when I'm sleeping but this place was too much even for me! You can hear the street, the neighbours, the other visitors in the other rooms, and at one point I thought someone was breaking in through the window (there was some sort of landing accessible by strangers even though I was on the top floor). My room had the dingiest 'lock' ever - a little nudge and you could have broken it.
Cozy, nice place to stay in Barcelona! The atmosphere is very relaxing and friendly, like you are staying at your own house! Location is great, close to Urgell subway station and 10 minutes walk to the Rambla. There are few very nice bars and food shop around. The breakfast is nice and you still can have all breakfast food through all day, also the kitchen is available if you want to cook some food for the dinner. Rooms and bathroom was clean and very cozy. Staff was very friendly! Thank you so much!
Budget accomodation in walking distance to Rambla. Nothing more.
HBCN Rooms withdrew money from my card account in two folds more than needed. To return it back I had to write them several times and claimed to Booking.com. It took 1 month to get it back. No A/C but mention in the hostel description.
Unfortunately I have nothing good to say.
When I arrived at the address given on the map there was no sign outside indicating that I was in the right place. I telephoned the number given which went straight to message service. After spending 30 minutes outside the building I managed to get inside. I found a door with the Name HBCN written on it. I rang the bell and within 30 seconds someone from above asked me to wait one minute. After a few minutes a man arrived whom I presume is the owner. He explained that they had changed telephone numbers. That was not helpful! I was then told that they had double booked and my room was no longer available...!!! However there was an apartment free where I could stay. As it was only one night I didn't care. I placed my bags in the apartment and got changed to go out. After a nice evening with friends I returned at midnight to find the owner on the street in front of the entrance. He started talking in Spanish and from what I could understand there was yet another problem. It seems that the apartment was now occupied by some other people and he had taken my bags and would take me to another room somewhere else!!! Now 1:00 am I followed his colleague to another room a few streets away. Now tell me... who out there likes to change rooms and walk through the streets in the middle of the night with there bags? The worst treatment I have ever had in all of my travels. He offered no money back for such terrible service. Beware!
The staff was very friendly and helping even when we arrived very late in the night
no facilities at all no towels no shower cream no shampoo no reception no body to ask any questions
no air conditioner
We have to change room during our visiting. They don't change our towels. There is no air condition, only hole in the wall with tube (so you can't set needed temperature). It is dirty at sone floors.
I've been hosted very well by all the staff in there. Really felt like an old friend, like I've never felt anywhere else before. The hostel has a great location, safe, clean n well designed. Thank all the staff.
I don't understand why this hostel is opening. Cause they are under a lot of repairing construction. When I entered, I thought I entered somewhere that was not built yet. Room was dirty, my sheet has the dirty newly hint from dogs jumping on it. The bathroom was only pne for all people sharing so often occupied and always full of water on the floor. Breakfast was too basic... I don't even have coffee or milk. Honestly one night for 34 euros, I totally don't think it worths this money...
