Hesperia Ramblas  

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent but...... See below.

The hotel was great and the staff were very helpful particularly when we were robbed in front of the hotel (actually about 30 feet from the hotel's front door when exiting the taxi from the airport). My travel bag with passport, computer, camera, travelers checks, and critical medication was stolen so fast that I cannot give any details. The staff helped us contact the us Consulate to cancel my passport, contact the hotel doctor to replace my critical medications, and provided a charger for my cell phone, etc. This was not the fault of the hotel but I would never stay in this location again -- it is just too dangerous. It is only a short walk to La Rambla which is supposed to be one of the interesting central streets in the old city. This was our second trip to Spain and I will never go back. This is a pity because Barcelona really is a spectacular city if crime were not such a serious issue.

A very modern hotel with excellent decor.

Whilst the standard of the room was excellent, it could have been slightly larger with more draws.

This was our second stay at Hesperia Ramblas and we always enjoy ourselves. We had stayed 4 nights last year and 4 nights again this year. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, just outstanding, each and every one of them. They give you a choice of breakfast there which is very good also with quite a large assortment of different breakfast items to choose from. Location is hard to beat - it's maybe half a block from La Rambla and the wonderful St. Josef Boqueria is just right around the corner down a short alley. We love Barcelona and always have a good time there - much to see and do. The location of this hotel is really hard to beat! We're walkers and everything we were interested in is close by. The Plaza Catalunya is maybe 10-15 minutes away and most tours & buses start from there. We will be staying here again next time we're in Barcelona.

I booked this hotel through the internet and it was the best choice I could have made. Its location is excellent and a 2 minute walk from the metro. The staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean. Excellent choice and an excellent hotel.

If there were a downside it would be that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Sometimes it's nice to just chill with refreshments in the room rather than in a bar/cafe.

The hotel is fairly average but its location so close to La Rambla is excellent

Poor breakfast and not worth the charging of 12,euro for person

Great central location just off La Rambla, clean modern rooms, good value for money. If opting to not have breakfast, there is a lovely bakery a few doors away.

As mentioned by previous guests, the wifi was a little hit and miss.

Ive stayed 3 times at this hotel its so good but this time the toilets smel bad

The location was superb. The room was perfect and basically the hotel did what it said on the can. Will stay there again.

Room not clean, need to ask twice for cleaning ; - once bathroom, WC not cleaned - once bed sheets not changed (found hairs...) Meeting staff unfriendly, did not apologize, but sent someone right away. We had to change the magnetic key card twice as our 3 keys stopped from working at the same time... Will not recommand for the price

A group of 10 friends spent new year weekend at the Hesperia Ramblas and we were all delighted with the cleanliness friendliness and the good position of the Hotel. A very good hotel which we would recommend to others.
