Hesperia Ramblas  

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent but...... See below.

The hotel was great and the staff were very helpful particularly when we were robbed in front of the hotel (actually about 30 feet from the hotel's front door when exiting the taxi from the airport). My travel bag with passport, computer, camera, travelers checks, and critical medication was stolen so fast that I cannot give any details. The staff helped us contact the us Consulate to cancel my passport, contact the hotel doctor to replace my critical medications, and provided a charger for my cell phone, etc. This was not the fault of the hotel but I would never stay in this location again -- it is just too dangerous. It is only a short walk to La Rambla which is supposed to be one of the interesting central streets in the old city. This was our second trip to Spain and I will never go back. This is a pity because Barcelona really is a spectacular city if crime were not such a serious issue.

Excellent location. New and clean.

Basic services. Staff is correct en helpful but cannot offer more than the hotel permits. Expensive business center.

Its location. The spacious feel of the reception area. The light penetration through borrowed roof lighting.. The sense of security in the hotel.

Lack of bar area.

An excellent hotel very close to Las Ramblas in l´Hospital. The best and nicest hotel I have had for ages. We did not try the breakfast, so no clue about that.

L´Hospital can be a little noisy (drunk tourists on their way to some other hotel...), but it was ok. If possible try to get a room facing another direction.

The hotel was very nice. The staff very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were modern and clean with comfortable beds. The location was excellent, off La Rambla and close to the market. A perfect hotel for a city trip.

Wall are a bit thin, you can hear guests in next room. Not a major issue, but was noticable.

Visited Barcelona on numerous occasions ,but first time at Heperia Ramblas.Would definitely stay again ( and recommend).Stayed for 2 nights and couldnt fault anything.Pleasant, professional staff.Clean, modern rooms & great location!

Nothing except location.

In general very poorly trained staff especially mr sebastian Macrini needs a lot of training on how to give better service to customers, which customer needs to be asked for deposits for umbrellas, or to be charged 10 euro per hour for 55 minutes late check out, etc .. etc,,,, location is good but everything else is at minimum, rooms are clostrofobic, noisy house cleaning in the morning, tv not working,hot water pressure,... really disappointed of Hesperia experience

What a great location. That amazing market is only meters away. Close to all facilities and the Ramblas right around the corner. Great breakfast and staff very friendly .

Location location location! And liked the idea of having to be buzzed in - added extra security.
