Hesperia Bilbao    

What a great location and what a fabulous city. We had a great time in Bilbao they restaurants recommended by the staff where a different class the city is friendly and exciting. We can't wait to go again.

We booked on line and somehow we got a double room and not a family room but the hotel went out of there way to find a room with a king size bed so our young lad could jump in with us( well dealt with). You can't control your room temperature it's all the same throughout the hotel.

The hotel is just accross the river from the museum. Made everthing easier.

Parking place very narrow.

The guy at reception who checked us in was awesome!!! I wish I had his name but he looked after us, upgraded us, offered us his parking space.... nothing was too much for him!

The location of this hotel was perfect. We wanted something close to the Guggenheim, yet this hotel also was walking distance to the Old Quarter and Leetsma Street where an assortment of good restaurants are.

It was pretty expensive for a basic room with no view, plus the 18 euros for the parking.

Very good location, close to the Guggenheim, the old and the new town.

Breakfast as in many modern hotels too expensive, but there are many coffees where you can get breakfast nearby.

A little bit frayed around the edges on the decor, scuff marks, stained carpet. Needs a tidy up

I've never felt so much cold in a room. The staff is not kind at all. its hard to get a smile from them. We book a suite and it was in the first floor. only 10 meter from a main road. it was really noisy at night

Poor facilities for 4* - no concierge service (our luggage arrived late and we had to collect it from foyer ourselves), no printer for easy access to print boarding passes.

The very steep car park ramps which upon which our low ground clearance car tended to bottom. Not a car park for fully loaded low slung sports cars!

The location and parking fascilities on the street

That the portier missed to give us the wake-up call at 5.45 the day of departure, as we had asked for and the portier agreed upon. That created trouble for us to get in time to the airport. That the breakfast was toooo expensive. That you couldn´t cancel or change the booking at all (in our case).

A well run ,friendly hotel which provided all that it claimed to offer. Excellent.

The proximity of the hotel to the river, the old section of the city, and the Guggenheim museum.

The parking garage is a bit risky with its narrow entrance and tight turns.

No hot water on departure morning (7.00am). Did not receive our requested early morning wake up call, Would have appreciated tea and coffee making facilities in room as found in other hotels.

The staff were very friendly. A warm reception on checking in and a free upgrade which was a really lovely surprise! Our light and spacious room was on the 6th floor overlooking the river where we could also see the Guggenheim from the quirky coloured glass balcony! The location is excellent for walking around the city. Breakfast had a nice selection to choose from. Would definitely recommend a stay at the Hesperia Bilbao!

Nothing at all really, personally I would have liked the bar to be a little warmer.

from the reception onwards this hotel it is a great experience. few minutes walk away from the Guggenheim and the city center.

Central location, easy parking (18 per day), restaurant choices.

No deck as advertised, small rooms, not very designer (this is an nh hotel with a small design feature outside)
