We booked 5 double rooms and by the time we arrived they gave us 1 double room and 4 single rooms to be used as double. When we said this is not acceptable they offered us to be able leave or to get an ''upgrade'' next day, since the city was booked out we had to sleep one night in those tiny rooms. They claimed that rooms are used as double (there was a tiny bed in a tiny room with no space for luggage, 1 pillow and 1 towel set, you make the math if it is single or double) When we were leaving on sunday receptionist on duty also said that he didn't understand how we were given those rooms since they are not suitable for double. Building has a very very low qualty, no isolation, everything happenning in and outside of the hotel is in your room. For three nights we didn't sleep a bit. I do accept that one should pay more to get a better quality but when I book a double room I want a double room, not a single room and also able to get some silence when I am in the room at the end I didn't book in a hostel which what we got.

Location wise accessible by walking to several spots of interest n tour buses. One day on Barcelona Bus Tour Hop on and off enough to give a comprehensive view of Gaudi's great architectural works. Good to start off early so that there are ample time to hop off to see the place of interest. Some places need to queue for tickets. Hotel breakfast value for money. Very good selection. Sandra reception staff very helpful, speak good English.

Bedroom pretty small. Bed is very creaky. Once you sit on it or any movement there is irritating sound. Other than this, bed n pillows are comfortable that ensure good sleep. TV program lousy, no English except for BBC n Bloomberg news. TV very old model. Should instal new model to enhance dual sound for those who can't understand English. Good English movies with even English subtitles help to give some entertainment. Otherwise this is a perfect hotel.

Window overlooking a noisy road, but it was not that bad..

Easy access in getting around Barcelona. Metro,Buses so easy and prompt. also everyone was so helpful,

Graffiti all over the buildings, such a shame.

Convenient location for sightseeing on foot and for the cruise terminal, which was the main purpose of our stay. It was brilliant that the hotel offered a free baggage store for suitcases to allow us a few hours around the city before we joined our ship.

Even though we were offered a discount on breakfast when we checked in it wasn't enough to make breakfast at the hotel an attractive proposition!

Had 24 hour security which made use feel comfortable.

Website said would provide an Iron, we had to ask reception a number of times to use. They only had one and were unwilling to ask the couple who had borrowed it, when they were going to return it. The female receptionist was not very helpful. The bedside light and wall light was not working on one side of the bedroom.

Exellent location, friendly staff, very clean rooms , all the best .

The hotel is nicely located several minutes walk from the Christopher Columbus tower at the base of the Rambla in the old city which makes it close as well to the Port for cruise departures, the Gothic quarter and the subway system. It was very clean and the room over the interior courtyard was quite quiet despite minor kitchen clattering early in the morning. My wife and I felt safe at all times in this neighbourhood and the room safe was user friendly. Great shower too. Economical hotel. We stayed two days and learned just how friendly and cooperative Sandra and Laura are on the front desk. Cannot comment on breakfast as we found it cheap and more fun to go out for coffee and croissants.

I didn't like paying to use the customer lobby computer (2 Euros/15 mins) but was happy to have it available. WiFi is free.

It was really in a great location near the historical center of the city and the staff was great!

Better TV and channel variety

It was convenient to La Robla and to the cruise ship.

The location and service of the frontdesk

The hotel was very clean and each day they were cleaning the room and changing the towels. Staff was very friendly and location is excellent, about 3 min by walking until La Rambla. There are many shops and bars next to the hotel and metro and bus station is very close.

Even if the windows were closed, there was a lot of noise in the room because of the cars outside. Beds were not so comfortable and a bit old, doing noise each time you were moving. Also the wardrobe is very small, and there is not much space to put your clothes in.

Great hotel in a very good position, with lots of good value restaurants just outside the entrance. Nice reception staff, which was the only staff i met ! Room was nice and I had no problem with noise.

Quartos mto apertados e armário praticamente não existe. A Internet é vendida como diferencial do hotel mas nao funciona direito. Cai toda hora e exige nova autenticaçåo para logar.

Su situación para la zona marítima es comoda. El personal amable.

A las instalalciones les falta una remodelación general, ya que se nota que esta muy "gastado" por el uso continuado.
