Great location - only 5min walk to LaRamblas and metro station. Hotel located next to Port Veill and close to Barceloneta beach - 15mins walk. We asked for quiet room and kindly got it- without view thou but sure you only there to sleep:) many nice cafes and pubs around, very helpful staff. Really good place to stay and great value for money (118 eu for double room ensuite 2 nights stay) Nothing - just did not try the food as was pleased with local cafeterias and restaurant - so can`t say anything about that ;)

The room was full of dust, cleaning service came to the room very late, about 5 pm, just when we wanted to relax after a busy day, so we only had cleaning service teo days, and the rest of the stay we just changed the towels ourself by asking in the reception. It was not far from La Rambla, but we were two girls and disn't wanna walk home late at night because the neigbourhood wasn't the nicest we've seen.

The location of this hotel is spot on for Barcelona. You have a metro line within a five minute walk at the bottom of Las Ramblas. The port is also within a 5 minute walk. The food on Ample (where the hotel is located) and the near by streets is awesome, some of the best I tried while in Barcelona.. While it was clean the bathroom absolutely stank of boiled cabbage for some reason. The corridors also had some odd smell lingering around. The hotel was "clean" in that you didn't see filth but there were these odd smells all around the place. The TV in the room was also tiny and very old but had a wide range of channels.

Good location. No cleaning before 4 pm when we arrived for siesta and not after. Very noisy aircondition machine outside of window at patio. Very small room with clumsy furniture. Breakfast missing plates and food. Price very high because of some fair.

The Hesperia Metropol is a few minutes walk from the La Ramblas (sea end), and it's good value for money. I didn't like the fact there was no real door on the en suite bathroom, just a frosted glass screen - not for the shy.
