good location, 500 meters from the village of Playa Blanca, with many shops and restaurants. Also a very beautiful promenade along the sea. Also 500 meters from the bus station to go anywhere on the island if you don't hire a car. If you want a sea view, ask the 3rd floor, otherwise you will be bothered by the trees.

Excellent location (close to promenade) - good facilities. Food in main restaurant very good. Lovely outdoor swmming pool area Some staff were excellent and friendly, however lady taking payment for dinner in main restaurant was a very poor reflection on hotel. Some plates/cups in main dining room were not cleaned properly.

The location is perfect and the pool area is very good . We were very disappointed overall with our stay at the Hotel, we specifically booked this hotel because of its location, and we paid an additonal charge for a room with a Sea view. However upon our arrival , when we opened the doors to the balcony, the view was completely blocked by a big tree right in front of the windows, there was no sea view,(this was room number 0123, for future reference). We asked to be moved to a 'room with a Sea view'. But there were no rooms available for two days. The reception staff were quite helpful in trying to resolve the situation, but we were disappointed in having to wait for two days , as we were only there for a week. We went to use the indoor pool and we were quite surprised that there was a daily charge to use the pool which we understood was part of the Hotel facillities and would be included in the cost. There was also a charge for changing the towels. On the first day at breakfast, at the pancake counter we observed a Cockroach crawling up one of the sauce bottles. Needless to say this had a big effect on our choice of breakfast, we found that the food was of a poor standard, with the exception of the fresh daily bread, and fruit , which was our staple diet for the whole week.

Liked the location but had to upgrade for 105 euros for 5 days from junior suite overlooking staff carpark with only morning sun to suite overlooking Pool area with all day sun as we prefer to use our balcony for privacy and reading. The cattle market buffet breakfast and noise in in dining room water and juice very warm from Drinks machine rude people pushing in to get food!!

Lovely setting, friendly staff, very eager to please. Lovely breakfast - wide range of food to suit most tastes. This applies to most hotels - the coffee was poor - from a machine - why not have freash coffee?

The hotel was beside a lovely beach, was spotless clean and set in very pretty gardens, only a short walk to bars restaurants etc. We were not given hotel info when we checked in so were unaware of meal times, pool and shop openings etc, we had to call reception to ask for details and we only discovered a second pool area with two lovely pools by accident after being there for 2 days.

Location was good. Close to beach and nearby restaurants. Heated swimming pool. Conveyor belt hotel. Breakfast time was very busy. No fresh tea/ coffee. Self service from a machine which tasted dreadful. When requested information from reception about walking tour in Timanfaya Nat Park, was told that I would have to book 3 months in advance. Also as b and b guests of hotel, gala for NY was not included and on check in was told could partake for 89 euro per person. This was inclusive for half board guests. No tea and coffee making facilities in room either for a 4 star hotel.

What a great hotel for the money. A good location between the Marina Rubicon and the town. Rooms very adequate for an older style 4* hotel. Breakfast was excellent, everything you could think of. Pool area clean and tidy. The only critisism I have about this hotel, like most others in Spain is that I don't understand why you have to pay to use facilities already in the room, eg, the safe and tv. If I had paid brochure price for the hotel, I would have been unhappy to have to pay extra to use all the facilities which should be included.

Location, food, nice hotel facilities, friendly staff - especially the chef of reception Maria. The first receptionist did not take regard to my demand in the reservation to have a room non smoking and in front of the golf area. Fortunately the chef of reception was very kind to change it next day. Many thanks !!!!!

Perfect location to enjoy promanade walk to either lighthouse or papagaya beach (well paved and scenic walk). Crowd at Playa Blanca and hesperia hotel is more for mature aged people - so it's quite peaceful. Buffet breakfast plentiful - though lots of processed food an scrambled eggs worst ever. Large free parking lot, shared with Yaiza Princess hotel. Large supermarket nearby. Hotel complex large and good for disabled people. Toilet and shwer in room were separated rooms. Gym equipment quite poor, outdoor pools are aa lil cold in Dec, indoor pool/gyms/sauna costs about 5 euro pp/visit. Lots of oldies here. Few cats roaming around - harmless though. Nigtly entertainment quite amatuerish, but kids would enjyoy it. TV channels in english not extensive.

Huge hotel, close to the sea. The breakfast was excellent. It's a bit 'tired', made for mass tourism, but it was clean, lovely surroundings. The front desk is very professional. We stayed only for one night. The south of the island (Playa Blanca) is a bit bland, so we were happy to spend the rest of our holiday in the north.

“We love the location within easy access of both the Marina and the ferry terminals (walkable distances to both). The room was very good as described in the brochure and it was cleaned daily, towels were changed every day if dirty ones were left in the bath . Overall the food was good with a large variety of choices. The pool and surrounding areas are very good, more so now for families. The sports facillities are good ,tennis, basketball, table tennis, billiards, crazy golf etc.We like the fact that we could hire pool towels so we didn't have to take any with us.” Susan, Leeds |

“We (2 parents with 2 children aged 8 and 10) had a half-board, 1-bedroom apartment, end of February 2010 during 7 days. Bathroom is beautiful, kitchen corner well designed (but fridge is not noiseless). Rooms are spacious and very clean with nice but average furniture. The hotel overlooks the seaside with direct access to the sea (rocks you can swim from, or walk 10 minutes to reach the first beach). It also has a heated outside swimming pool. Buffet was very good (with lots of fruits and vegetable) and has a special corner for local Canarian cuisine. Animation for the children (playground in the morning), the adults (afternoon: learning Spanish, archery, bingo, ..) are well designed. Some of the show at 9pm (Flamenco, Tango) are top” Jean-luc, East Grinstead |
