Deluxe berakfast, See view, Friendly staff,
You have to pay for safebox, You have to pay for Spa, The concept of Deluxe system,
Very handy for beach and prom walks. Within easy reach of the Marina in one direction and of the 'Town' in the opposite direction. Lovely pools. Plenty of deck chairs. Daily activations. Great breakfast. Clean rooms; clean just about everywhere.
1. Sewerage smells on many evenings pervading areas of the hotel. The hotel did use sprays and I'm not sure that they can avoid the problem which seems to come into the hotel. 2. The 'separation' of De Luxe guests and the ordinary patrons is slightly amusing. If the hotel wants to have a 'hotel within a hotel' they have a long way to go to be convincing. Separate dining rooms, separate outdoor areas and a separate lounge look like class distinction rather than a distinct upgrade. I suggest that the Dorada should check out the '7th Floor' in the Doyle Hotel in Washington for the real deal. 3. The extra charges for safe, tea making facilities, use of the indoor pool, should be looked at again. There is a meanness to them. Include them in the price rather than charge as extras. Most people want them anyway. 4. Wi-Fi is good when you have mastered the coding that changes everyday. You could be forgiven for thinking that the Hotel's Wi-Fi must be under constant attack from outside spongers. Make it simple. Keep it simple.
Great location and quiet area. Nice beach nearby. Friendly staff and good amenities.
The food was sometimes too repetitive.
Myself and my wife were going purely for rest , we couldnt have asked for a better time,a room at side looking onto the pitch & putt course bliss peace and quiet.food was good plenty of choice, room service (chambermaids) were fabulous every day same time fabulously good at their jobs, all staff were ultimately nice people and courteous, cant wait to go there again next year,we were offered a 5 star upgrade for half te holiday but declined purely because we were well chillaxed
Please note: this is an observation NOT a criticism, the table tennis table needs to be moved as the parasol next to it could cause someone serious injury,my wife grazed her shoulder blade stretching for a ball and grazed it badly again this is not a criticism just an observation
This is a nice hotel in an excellent location, close to everything. Staff are nice, rooms are nice and tidy, breakfast is always good, we would stay here again.
-Staff not consistent with how they do things - We ordered room service and the food come covered with cling film which made the food soggy and it was also cold - don't like the new deluxe split that they have introduced, deluxe does not mean your room is deluxe but you get extras included
I enjoyed the hotel we were bed and breakfast we also had 4 dinners which were good value.
As a standard booked guest there was some debate about the deluxe standard that the hotel was operating it seemed a bit over the top with the separate sun bathing areas
location was very good lovely walk along promenade at back of hotel beach very close food very good would recommend this hotel to everybody.
Location food and cleanliness good, Paula on Animacion team brilliant and far too good for hotel,
Total lack of atmosphere. I believe all 4 star hotels should have free safe, fridge wifi in rooms (only available in lobby) and tea and coffee making facilities. Swimming pools freezing. The 2 tier system is appalling. I dont need to be reminded on holiday that I am working class with staff and other guests looking down on me. Would not go back or recommend it except if you are over 70 wanting very quiet holiday.
Good food and entertainment.
Ask and paid for a sea view and got a room at the very back of the hotel on the road with views? The room i booked for my sister also paid for a sea view and got a view of the rear car park?. When complaining i was told that i would not be moved.
location. Walking distance of Playa Blanca village in one direction and Rubicon Marina in opposite direction.Near to lovely beach. Excellent weather.
Having to ask to be let into the De Luxe lounge and paying for drinks.Might as well buy them at bar.Being ignored at beach bar by serving other people before me when I was there first.
competitively priced bar
additional fees for gym use
The location - 5 minutes walk to Playa Blanca village on one side and Marina Rubicon on the other side and 2 minute walk to beautiful beach. Outdoor eating area at Papagayo restaurant. Good choice for breakfast. Pool quite warm.
Wi-Fi system - needed new password almost every time we connected (and sometimes the password we got from the hotel didn't work!).
Location and value
Quality of breakfast is poor. Poor quality food and dreadful coffee
Excellent Location. Cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff 2nd to none. We were only booked in for Breakfast each day but this was always good if not a little repetitive. This was our 2nd stay and was glad to see the staircase has been changed as raised the tiles at the side were lethal. We could certainly tell some features had been updated.
Hated the 'Deluxe' segregation of guests and thought it totally inappropriate. Would expect this of a lower class establishment. In my opinion there is no need for this feature and because of it would give great consideration as to staying here again.
Everything was perfect!!!!
We stayed only 3 days
The hotel location was great. The hotel facilities - food, drinks and service were adequate for our needs. The standard pools and sunbathing area were perfectly good enough - the de luxe guests still have to walk through these same areas!
Can't understand the need for De Luxe ?- If you want 5 star you go to a 5 star hotel, which this is not! Unnecessary, embarrassing and somewhat pretentious in our opinion to sunbathe in a roped off area on fancy sunbeds laid out on astra turf! The main restaurant food and service was good with plenty of selection. Every time we went to reception there was a queue and only one receptionist on duty. In the de luxe reception there were 2 receptionists and no customers! Ridiculous!
heated pool location to beach sea view
having to spend extra to get deluxe. loud music at night forgot early call shower flooded bathroom when showering found cockrotch on 1st night Seperate toilet had no hand washing sink. having to pay extra for deluxe to get sea veiw room.
The Hotel was clean and well presented, deluxe rooms had a separate check in. The location is great, can walk along the seafront to either the Marina (2 mins) or Playa Blanca (10mins) where there is lots of restaurants. We were bed and breakfast so can't comment on the all inclusive food, however the breakfast was varied and had something for everyone (deluxe). Overall, I would probably give it around a 3*.
We requested a earlier check in but did not receive this and still had to wait until 3pm, also we requested a double bed instead of twin which initially was not given to us. However, we did finally get this changed. We did have a leak through our roof, which was seen by a technician.
We really enjoyed the location along the coast, as it was very close to the beach and within easy access of other local resorts. The hotel room was just what we asked for with a lovely sea view from our balcony, and felt very private. We would definitely visit again.
Great position. the rooms were very clean.
Sun beds were too close together.
I liked the staff and the facilities. I booked a deluxe room and there were a lot of extras..the breakfast had lots of choises of food and I had free access to the spa which I didn't have time to enjoy..
Wifi signal was a bit low in my room.
Lack of wifi connectivity. Invest in this area
WiFi - almost useless No Coffee makaing or Fridge
In great location for both beach and restaurants.
Not enough umbrellas around pool area.
Only sted 3 nights on b and b basis, rooms on ground floor fairly basic ,breakfast very good, great location 2 minutes from beech
