Hesperia Tower is een luxe hotel. Zeer goed onderhouden en schoon. Kamers zijn comfortabel. Het hotel bevind zich niet in het centrum maar tussen vliegveld en centrum in.

Had deze keer een executive kamer besteld, behalve dat deze op de hogere verdieping bevind is er geen verschil met de standaard kamer. Wel toegang tot executive lounge maar deze stelt niet zoveel voor. Aangezien hier geen controle is, kan iedereen hier naar binnen.

Heel mooi luxueus hotel met een ontbijt om "u" tegen te zeggen, mijn buik was spijtig genoeg te klein. Mooi uitzicht, snelle liften, een aantal ook met prachtig uitzicht. Dicht bij de metro (is de eindhalte van lijn 1, dus als je vertrekt altijd plaats om te zitten). In de buurt van het hotel is niet veel te zien, maar met die metro ben je overal in een wip, max. 4 min. Wachten op een volgende tram, laat die auto dus maar staan. Wij zouden hier zeker terug naartoe komen.

De kamer was prachtig en zeer schoon. Ook de badkamer was zeer prettig in gebruik. En zeer dichtbij het metro station en de Fira Gran Via (beursgebouw).

Jammer dat je als gast van een 5 sterren hotel nog eens een extra 12 euro moet betalen om gebruik te maken van het zwembad, waar je ook nog gedwongen wordt badslippers te kopen (1€) en een badmuts te dragen. Als je dan in de spa ook nog een broodje wilt eten, kan dit weer niet op de kamer gecharged worden. Er is helaas niets qua restaurants in de buurt en hetgeen ons door de receptie werd aangeraden viel eigenlijk niet in de categorie "restaurant" (La Flama).

The staff were great. Very willing to help even though they could not.

This hotel was never identified as being so far from the city that a shuttle would be necessary. At that the shuttle was not available. Also the shuttle to the airport did not start early enough to accommodate our needs. We chose it because of the shuttle that was offered on line. Indicate that Sundays are "off" days in this location.

Hotel is beautiful and very up-to-date

Shuttle service should be by reservation. We waited one hour for the shuttle only to find there were more people standing at the queue than the bus would hold when we got out there twenty minutes early. Only when the bus came did we find out we were out of luck!!

LOVED the bathroom and the Tower Club Access. Bedroom area could be a little bigger...but overall an amazing stay, thanks!

It is clean and has a high tech design. Staff is helpful, everyone spoke English. Room was nice. Breakfast was good with a range of choices, fairly priced for what they offer, however if you don't eat much for breakfast, in the city it will be cheaper to eat. Really close to the airport, cost 20€.

You need to pay extra 14€ to use the gym, which is in separate building, where you cannot go wearing a bath rob and room flip flops. It is also gym for people from outside, so it's well packed. The gym itself was on a level. It took us 25 minutes by tube to get to the citycentre which is a lot.

The stuff are very helpful. The breakfast is good.

The location is poor although it is near the airport. It takes at least half an hour to the city centre by underground. The wifi connectivity is awful.

New, clean & fancy without being "stuffy" Modern architecture.

Was farther away from most Barcelona attractions. However, a Metro station is right across the street which takes you into the city center in 15min.

Close proximity to convention site, and yet close to the city center with the subway. Also close to the airport.

There was a considerable mold air in my room upon arrival. Turning on fan and using shower / washbasins solved the problem. Next day I noticed a huge black mold discoloration on the wall on the other site of the shower. The shower area was not watertight and had caused the stale air the day before. For a five star hotel, this was a bit disappointing.

Comfort, facilities, location, free wi-fi, free shuttle bus to airport

Comfortable quiet rooms in a nicely designed hotel. It has a spacious bathroom and comfy beds. Breakfast is pricy but well worth the money.

The hotel is too far away from the city centre when considering a city trip. No tea making facilities in the room.

Fantastic value for money. Interesting modern interior design.

Not in the city centre but as the hotel provides a free shuttle bus and the metro is two minutes' walk away, the is not much of a problem.

Simply the Best!

Waited 90 mins for courtesy bus at terminal 2. Rang hotel 4 times and told them exactly where we were and each time we were told it would be 10 mins. In the end we got a cab (20 euro). When we complained to the hotel we were told that the bus didn't stop at terminal 2. At €149 for the room + €48 for breakfasts + €20 for the cab, it turned out an expensive stopover.

Great hotel, highly recommended

The design of the hotel and the room was rather over the top, but very fun. The staff at reception were great and very helpful. Great view from the room. Great location if you wish to see Barcelona as well as be near the airport. They operate a shuttle service to both the city and the airport, so particularly convenient if you have only 1 night in barcelona. Also the metro line is across the road from the hotel, so easy to get back to the hotel from the city centre.

Rooom cost was very reasonable, but felt all other costs were trying to make up the difference. The service beyond reception, and particularly in the Bouquet restaurant was not very good, rather slow and forgetful, which compounded the fact you were paying a lot in these areas.

From the architectural point of view, this building, designed by Richard Rogers, was quite nice.

From the management point of view, the hotel was a disaster. Our primary reason for staying in this particular hotel was their airport shuttle. When making our reservation (a month in advance!), we indicated specifically that we needed the shuttle service at a particular time, and requested them to confirm that it was available. We did not get a reply, only to find out at our arrival that the shuttle bus did not run that time of day. The reception desk staff claimed it was a fault of booking.com... After a long and unpleasant discussion, they agreed to get us a complementari taxi. On the morning of our departure, however, the man at the reception desk did not seem to know anything about that arrangement, so we had to explain the situation to him as well... Most of the bars and restaurants were closed, including the cupula at the top, and it was impossible to go up there to enjoy the view. The shower stall was not watertight and had a musty smell of moisture. There were only toilet items for one person.

Food and drinks were very expensive

It is not true that there is wi-fi internet in the whole of the hotel. Reception of a signal in rooms is very very poor and only exists in certain places in every room. Big disapointment.

Shower is good and elevators are quick.

There is a phone in the room but who ever you call, whether it is room service or housekeeping, they either not pick-up the phone or do not deliver what you are asking for. There is a free shuttle bus but only for 12 people: first come, first in, so if you want to join this service you better be the first to wait....... and do not forget the siesta time (between 12 and 16: no services). The hotel is unconvenient located in the outskirts, so not in Barcelona itself.

I loved the feel of a five star quality hotel.

The price of the five star hotel items. To order stuff from room service and to drink out of the mini bar is actually cheaper than going down to the restaurant and bar.
