Location. It is amazingly close to Royal Palace, P Mayor and Opera Metro.
Some graffiti on street door.
location : excellent, near Metro, in center of the city very friendly and discrete host very clean rooms very silent at night
Absolutely clean. 5 mins' walk to Opera station and San Miguel Market. Room is basic, with a mini fridge helps a lot in hot summer.
Springs of the double bed are not even.
The staff is very helpfull, and makes you feel confortable...very good place!
Excellent location! Pretty close to everything. Very clean.
Pretty noisy during the night. Problem with parking - 30 euro/day in the public parking nearby. But this is a common inconvenient for the city center.
First of all it took 15 minutes walking up and down on the street (while Google Maps open) to find this place - no lights, no visible signboard, nothing. Old lady (seems place-keeper) doesn't speak English (well, Spain) - be ready communicate with your hands. Rooms are really small; good flexibility highly recommended if you have to visit bathroom (BTW - lamps lights a few minutes, so don't hurry). All stuff very old, the rooms are noisy (which mean really noisy: if you understand Spanish all last news will be provided by Madrid utility-workers at 5AM) And the last - place is over-rated & provide bad value for money
The old lady plite and elegant The cat quiet smart and agile~ Make the whole thing like a home
A small hostal located at the very centre but off the crowd in a quiet street.Very basic but clean, comfy beds. The owner was very cordial. She does not speak English, so a bit of Spanish would be helpful. The room was quite spacious. No breakfast but there is a good cafe across the street.
Location cannot be better. In the very centre with metro round the corner. Clean with all requirements. Excellent and powerful shower. Could not ask for more.
Slippery bath/shower. A small hand rail would solve the problem. No English is spoken.
It was quiet. It also felt genuinely Spanish.
Lift only reached the half-landing
The owner was very kind with great hospitality. The room was cozy and always kept clean. Location is also convenient, which makes it easy for us to access to the city centre. All in all, lovely hotel.
We like the hostal. Staf is very nice and helpfull. Also location of the hostal is perfect. Near to the purte del sol and Opera metro station.
Excellent position with an easy walk to many of Madrid's main attractions. The owner was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We do not speak Spanish and she doesn't speak English but we managed to make ourselves understood. It was great to have the little fridge.
located in the very center of Madrid, super clean, very quiet (at least on our side), v. good wi-fi
Close to metro station.
Landlady has a cat.
Staff are kind and welcoming. Room was very clean. Location is amazing with everything just a few minutes away. Pretty good for the price. Needs a positive attitude and open mind.
Walls are very thin so you can hear everything. Not good if you're a light sleeper. Staff do not speak English at all; they speak French and Spanish. Halls smell of smoke but rooms are smoke-free. There is a cat so be ready if you are allergic.
location, price, friendly staff
