nothing it was an horror staying ,worst place ver.staff was poor educated and didnt answer any of my querrá
Breakfast was fine (Good price-quality ratio). Beds were fine. Room was spacious.
The floor we stayed on was very hot even though it was cold outside (15C). Our room was also hot. When I informed the front desk, the lady just said 'yea I don't know why. The heating isn't on.' When I said I really wished for sth to be done, she said she'd check the heating, then just stood there. I asked if I should wait, and only then did she really go to 'check'. She popped her head around the corner into an office and concluded: "No. Nothing wrong." The room must have been about 24degrees C! All night. Nothing was done to fix it. Also, children were stamping and screaming next door way into the second night (still hot!), and a couple on the other side was loudly having sex. It was very uncomfortable having to hear all of that. The noise lasted till far past midnight.
Hotel did not keep booking.com promise - price of entire stay taken from my credit card before and on arrival Buffet breakfast - our first experience was of guests vying for what was left on the buffet. Staff gave the impression of being too tired to care. After that we did not bother taking breakfast there
Decent facilities, not far from the beach and a 20 minute walk to Alicante Golf.
Hotel is dated, pool loungers were mostly broken and I had to wait 5+ minutes for service at an empty bar. Not deserving of 4 stars in my opinion.
Cleanliness, easy parking,
Refrigerator broken, not on beach.
Helpful receptionists. Good location near restaurants, shops and the beach. Also close to tram stop for trips into Alicante city centre. Plenty of parking.
Pool was a bit small. Decoration looked tired. The restaurant was too soulless for evening meals.
staff very freindly pool area quiet clean and tidy bar snacks good over all food was good value
a little to far to the beach my wife has difficulty walking not enough information available and not easy to find at first
Excellent price (paid 130 for 3 nights in September). Pleasant location with good tram and bus connections. Nice and helpful staff.
-Room facing the street is noisy
Rooms, restaurant, parking facilities
A bit run down
My room was in the ground floor/
Had to change room in the middle of the week and because was given a double room with 2 single beds with wheels on it instead of a double bed. Not pleasant
Tres bien, pas d'autres mots
The pool and my balcony.
The Intenet was constantly down. The staff didn't care. I got a lot of shoulder shrugging. I needed to print flight tickets but the receptionsist said she couldn't. I had to force the issue. One of the TVs did not work, the hotel room was shabby. Ihad a massage but they didn't know where to sent him. It was done in the gym whist a boy was using it. A disgrace. They should have rooms ig they offer treatments. I will never go again.
We chose this hotel, because we wanted a place relatively close to the beach. It cost us 3.85 euros per person to get a bus from the airport to Puerta Mar 1 (Plaza Puerta del Mar) and from the same bus stop we got into the bus 21 (it was somewhere around 3 euros per 2 persons) which went straight pass the Holiday Inn. Very easy and good air conditioning in the buses. When you want to go back, you just get into the bus from the other side of Holiday Inn (there is a small entrance which we used, when we would walk to the beach). The room looked nice, the dining room was nice and there were plenty of foods to choose from at the breakfast. The air conditioning was very good, you could even get a bit cold during the night if you left it on (which is good, 'cause you can always turn it off if you want to. There was a mini fridge in the room (holding the mini bar bottles), where you could fit for example a few smaller drinks of your own if you wanted to keep them cool. There was also a small safe in the wardrobe, which worked with your own roomkey (with it you can change the combination of the lock). There are shops not too far away (Masymas supermercados), a pharmacy quite close, bars and restaurants at the beach and at the beach you can rent sun beds and umbrellas if you want to. The Inn had a pool also and it was clean, plenty of chlorine as in all pools and since it's not a huge pool, it can easily get crowded. Good for children, though. In the evening the beach bars would also have been great if we had been travelling with a bunch of friends, so I can recommend it for that kind of parties, aswell.
Based on the reviews I had read, I expected the place to be far shabbier than it was. Sure the carpets looked pretty stained (I would suggest them to change the fitted carpets into something that is easier to keep clean), but otherwise everything was clean. The air conditioning and the lights only worked if you put your key card in a slot on the wall, so you could only leave the air conditioning on once you left the room, if you left one of the keys there). We couldn't get our safe to work straight away, but the helpful girls at the reception sent in a technician, who fixed it straightaway. The staff at the restaurant didn't speak english much, but we got our food so nothing else matters. You have to be lucky in order to get a quiet room. The soundproofing is not good, but we slept well. Atleast with earplugs on. Luckily the place wasn't too noisy.
Location was good - great to wander down to beach and restaurants/bars Most staff helpful Breakfast buffet had good selection
No tea/coffee making facilities in room hotel rooms in need of refurbishment Poolside bar - if you are going to have one - you have to serve the customers - or at least acknowledge their presence! I observed the very poor service was consistent and many people walked away in the end . . . .
Pool Close walk to beach & restaurants
Staff was friendly, good atmosphere, decent-sized outdoor pool, location (only 10 minutes walk from the beach)
There were lot of downs to this property and I would certainly not categorise it as a 4 star hotel. To list a few: - They've already charged my credit card before arrival... - No complementary water, tea or biscuits upon arrival - We book a room for three, but it was prepared only for two (missing towels, glasses, etc) - Safety deposit box did not want to programme - Internet connection simply did not work inside the room, we had to go to the reception area to achieve decent connection and speed - Old television, room equipment, rolling beds - Very noisy AC. It looks that the owner did not spend any money on changing FF&E (furniture, fixture and equipment) for more than 10 years - Toilet was leaking and very noisy, we were unable to sleep during the last night - Collapsing sun loungers by the pool
Room and swimming pool
Walk to the beach is a bit long
Tv Personal doesn't speak English No tennis court Bad advises by personal over places around Difficult to arrange laundry
Buffet breakfast each morning was delicious, particularly the range of fresh fruit available. The staff we also very pleasant and helpful. The pool is a great feature, and it was lovely to sit out and have the pool bar close by for a sangria or two.
We asked for a no smoking room, but were placed in a room that smelled strongly of smoke. We asked to be moved and the staff were very obliging, however the room we were moved to, while it has a no smoking sign also smelled strongly of stale smoke. The rooms are poorly insulated, meaning that you can hear all the conversations in rooms around you or people moving up and down the halls. Avoid eating dinner and lunch in particular here, it's not tasty and there are much nicer restaurants down near the beach.
Breakfast Staff on reception Parking
Dinner, main course was terrible. We booked this hotel as it had the paddle courts , but when we wanted to play we were told it was 16 euros an hour. When we booked there was no mention of having to pay. We have stayed at other hotels and played for free. So my lads only played the once. Our room floor was covered in sand, not from us. Rooms very drab and 70s looking. No option to change tv channels to English
ants in bathroom and noise
Just a 5 minute walk to a fabulous beach. Bus to Alicante Center or El Campello right outside the hotel. Terrific location. Hotel pool outstanding. Staff muy simpático and let me practice my Spanish with them.
In-room Internet connection was often so slow as to be almost unusable.
Helpful staff, good location, breakfast 9 euros
