Holiday Inn Express Alicante  

Hotel is situated at south end of town so definitely need a car to navigate to clean beaches, eating and shopping. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Parking was free and plentiful.

Air conditioning worked poorly. We asked at the front desk about any malfunction and she indicated there was none and suggested trying a different setting. As we were already unpacked, we declined moving to another room but after the extremely warm night, we wish we had chosen differently. Beach across the street from the hotel was dirty with trash etc and could only be accessed by narrow path.

The room was big, clean and confortable. Our room had a beautiful seasight. Very good value for money.

Near alicante airport, beside the sea nice place for a stopover , bar area is part of reception basic , on the playa urbanivo they broke into my car but there was nothing to steal ,breakfast is basic

Good clean and comfortable as well as effiecent hotel. We enjoyed our 3 nights there.

Good hotel, excellent value, including breakfast, which was fresh and varied. Unusual to get such good coffee from a machine. The hotel is very clean and well run. We stayed for a second night on the way home, and reception, Patri, was incredibly helpful ringing round, trying to find my specs which I had lost in town while shopping. Located ten minutes from the airport, five from Alicante, by car, it's a good place to stay when flying in late, or leaving on an early flight. We would definately stay again and reccommend it to friends and family.

The staff and the room were better than expected and the parking facilities were also good.

Sadly the common area for sitting and dining were not pleasant, unwelcoming, looked rather like canteen facilities. Certainly did not encourage us to sit for any length of time over a drink. The breakfast was ok and the coffee was terrible. Couldn't wait to purchase a decent drink in the city. Such a shame as the rest of the hotel was better than expected.

Only minus is that there wasnt any small fridge in room and weardrobe was very poor didnt have any tomatos and cucumbers at breakfast :(

The rooms are very clean, very orderly and beds all made up. There IS coffee/tea making facilities and we found this very useful and after our travel, very relieved to have a cup of tea. Even the bathroom is equipped with shampoo and gel, very good touch. The breakfast next day was, according to my children, the best breakfast they had in the 3 hotels we have stayed. I think the choc rolls swayed it for them, the choc drink and fruit juice. LOL. I would also like to thank the manager on duty that night (26th August, after 11pm) for being so helpful in my dilemna of overlooking the taxi fare. He was very helpful and advised me that next time I could pay the taxi drivers via card, which I did the next morning so it all went well. I would recommend this hotel anytime for comfort, location to the airport, business and a break after the long holiday from the sun. We would defenitely stay again. Nothing. Just a warning that fares from airport to the hotel cost about approx 15 euros, not less than 10 as was said. So allocate at least 30 euros for taxi fare and back. Wi Fi is not free but not a problem for us.

Close to airport so very good and reasonable for a stop over

The only issue I had with this hotel was that I requested a High floor with a sea view. I got a ground floor at the back of the hotel. The front of the hotel faces the Sea. While I appreciate that this request cannot be guaranteed, it is still difficult to understand why the request was completely ignored and the complete opposite of the request was given

The personnel was very kind and helpful from recepcionist/clerk to cleaners. We did like its location that we found out ideal for moving around to different beaches,cities and villages and of course to the airport. It was good finding plenty of parking facilities every time is well. Hotel installations in/outside were very clean. Hotel confort was excelent after coming back from exhausted days out!!!!!!!!!!

Receptionist/clerk were efficient and helpful but we found out that when we need some service was so slow because of always there was only one of them serving many people.
