Location was fair food was very good
NOT for couples more for families entertainment very poor pools not very good for adults needs refurbishment in rooms
the waterslides for little children, the breakfast, the gym
the room should be renovated, the waterslide should be always operating not only in the specific hour.
Pool Breakfast Location Views Staff helpfulness
Rooms could do with an update Bar a bit pricey Not much to do for older kids
Pools and cleanliness of room
Noise from restaurant staff setting up each morning and people loud in dining area after midnight
Good location five minute walk from central beach and ten minute walk from city center.
Apartments not well designed. Kitchen very small and equipment quite worn. Didn't like ground-level balcony. Big pool very crowded.
Staff are always friendly, place is nice and clean.
We stayed here last year and noticed this year that the variety of food for breakfast was a lot less, tasty enough but not enough choice. And the rooms are very tired looking.
Location and facilities, amazing pools.
I would like more choices of food at lunchtime and more entertainment at night.
Great location, 5 mins to great beach, 10 mins to middle of town. Away from the centre in peaceful area. Staff are great, Alanna in the Restaurant couldn't do enough for us, Lydia in the childrens club was great (having to do it all on her own!). Food in the Restaurant was very acceptable, good variety and fresh. Cleaning staff friendly and helpful.
Rooms could do with a facelift but acceptable for our needs. Very very slippery around the pools, I don't understand why they don't have a non-slip surface with the place full of children. It is very dangerous. With the new laned pool and gym, the Hotel is marketing itself as a "Sporthotel" (signs and Billboards around town). The family feel may go from the place which would be a shame as it has always been aimed at families. The kids club this year was nothing like last year (despite Lydia's best efforts - she did her utmost!).
Best thing is the location. Really excellent location. Pools were very good, extremely clean. We don't have children, but there seemed to be good facilities for them. Didn't personally use the bar or restaurant. I only heard one entertainment, it seemed OK, but no-one was listening.
Rooms were outdated and very small. I couldn't stand at the sink to wash up as there was a beam across the floor. Only a midget could have stood at that sink... No mirrors in the bedroom, teeny tiny wardrobe. No bedside tables, only 1 bedside light switch. Rusty bathroom fittings. Cracked floor tiles. All needs updating really. This is a hotel where LOADS of people stay with children and small babies, if that is a problem for you, don't stay here.
This small compact complex is made by the helpful and friendly staff who keep it spotless. Studios were spacious for two and although a little dated in decor they were very comfortable and clean. Ideal for families with kiddies under 5 as the pools and play areas were designed for very little ones. A short 200m stroll to the beach and a ten minute walk to the port and town square. Lots of choice to suit all pockets for meals out too.
Little niggle of no bedside table or lights.
Great location, Great for families lots for them to do.
Not a place to stay for a lads holiday, more suited to families
Cheap & good breakfasts.
Internet very poor,
Location to the town. The layout of the hotel
The tv had broken Being woken up at 0800 hrs with loud banging and noise from the workmen on site. The layout of the lounge area in our room
Hotel situated a short distance to the beach. Breakfasts were good. Staff were very efficient and friendly
Suppers could have been more varied. Would have liked the towels changed more often...waited 3 days. I don't think small children should be in the bar after 8pm. They were running around whilst the classical guitarist was playing. Very off putting.
Location and bike facilities was excellent.
Really bad Wifi connection
Every where was extremely clean, staff polite and helpful, Breakfast - couldn't have had more choice, excellant value for money. Ideal location, nice and quite but easily accessable to the shops and restaurants.
Drinks were a bit expensive
A nice room, with a good terrace and there was a garage for bikes, with locks, repair tools, pump and fresh water. The breakfast was superb!
location and cleanliness
not finished! facilities advertised not built yet laned pool opening hrs limited
Great location close to beach and restaurants Great staff in Bar/Restaurant Great pools for young kids and clean communal areas with sun loungers and parasols Limited but good entertainment held 3 times in the 9 nights we stayed
Staff at Reception had a poor attitude Hotel advertised Gym and Kids Club but neither were available- the Gym is not built yet (May 2014)! We based our decision to stay here on these two facilities and were very disappointed as this had been mis-advertised Studio room is not suitable for a couple and young child, very small accommodation so had to upgrade Got upgraded to larger apt but had lots of steps and so had to watch our toddler didn't fall Overall not a buggy friendly complex Lifts up to 1st and 2nd floor are tiny and so we had to do two trips up to our apartment with 3 of us, luggage and a buggy, no offer of help from staff
everything was great hotel staff very friendly. will be back
stayed only 2 nights
A friend and I stayed 4 nights in a studio twin, room-only, in May, as a base for bike rides into the mountains. The price was very good, I suspect because the hotel is refurbished this winter and just establishing itself as a sport hotel - fitness room and gym are still being fitted out. Location is excellent - 5 mins walk to bars & restaurants but quiet. 2 mins walk to beach. Secure and easy to use bike storage with some tools. Proper 25m swim-training pool. Having a studio means you get a kitchenette with fridge so can make your own pre-ride food, and post ride drinks! Friendly helpful staff. Free wifi. Plenty of on-street parking.
Nothing really, some minor niggles: - Internet was bit flakey (but wifi ok). - You have to pay €4 for the training pool for an hour - the advantage is that this keeps the non swimmers in the leisure pool. They offer a flat rate for the day but a discount for multiple sessions would work better, e.g. €10 for 3x1 hour.
The bar staff were friendly and funny.
The swimming pool was so cold, invest in some heating for out of season guests.
Nice location, nice hotel, room big, well equipped. Pool also nice.
Must pay 7 euro per person for using of the swimming pool. I don't understand the reason why must pay for this. The wi-fi was poor, it didn't work at all. We had to go to the Burger King nearby where we can connect and use the internet. The receptionist could't try to solve the problem.
Well adapted for sports activeties. Twelve of us went there for a cycling break. We were well catered for.
Location is excellent especially with tolo's restaurant just down the road. The rooms are spacious and the new bike storage was great.
Bit disappointed had to pay to use new training pool luckily sea is close and was warm enough. The sofa beds in lounge are a bit uncomfortable to sit on in evening, so stay out longer and go straight to bed.
