Interesting building, nice and quiet, comfortable
Beautiful surroundings, very calm and relaxing. Cloisters are fabulous with many places to sit and relax. Easy walk to bars and city centre. Good stopover.
Would have welcomed a drink after very long drive to get here but was informed bar not open. During the time we stayed we didn't see anyone being served drinks, and also saw a family being turned away from restaurant even though it was supposedly serving for a further 30 mins. Sadly this let the accommodation down which is a great pity as it is so beautiful.
Clean, friendly and helpful staff
Everything about the hotel except the restaurant. Reception staff were great. Hotel was fantastic.
Don't eat in the restaurant, the restaurant staff are clueless. The male waiter got the order wrong, then said we couldn't have what we wanted to eat because of some restaurant rules. I would sack the waiter and the cook and start again.
The feeling of peace and tranquility in the cloisters. The sense of history. The charming people at Reception who were prepared to chat and smile. The proximity to the historic centre. The idea that the friars are still living there. The beautiful building.
I liked it all.
Comfort, cleanliness, location & very good price
They've now changed meal option. Now its a gormet evening meal which cost 19euros, drink & iva extra. Not good value for money. Last 2 years evening meal cost between 10 & 11 euros for 3 course meal incl drink.
No bar OPEN UNTIL 8.45PM, !
Wonderful building and location, star rating at 2 is wrong, it should be a 4, The historic town on the doorstep.
Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but many others in short walk to historic town.
Lovely Hotel in great position for walk into old town where there are great bars and restaurants. Bargain for quality
A very relaxing oasis of calm and quiet. The quadrangle has comfy sofas dotted around, perfect for sitting and reading.
Beautiful location and great stopover point for Bilbao. Sitting in the cloisters area was one of the most peaceful moments I can ever remember having.
Food in restaurant was "odd" but edible, nothing amazing
No hot water on arrival unable to shower after long journey.
Comfort good, food ok but breakfast very limited
Limited wifi access - not available in bedroom
wonderful Hotel and the food was excellent at a very reasonable price. Would stay there every time we needed to travel vi Bilbao. Only 1 hour away from ferry by car
Wi Fi was not very good
Beautiful peaceful atmosphere and surrounding. Wonderful old building kept in clean beautiful condition. Staff very helpful and friendly.
No wifi in the bedrooms.
Breakfast We were not late down but all the crusty bread, yoghurts, tomatoes and crossents had gone. I mentioned it at the desk and it was noted but no comments. No reduction was made but we were no seeking it given the incredible value overall. Would not stop our staying there again.
The hotel is beautiful. Very well located.
No wi fi in the room.
Very good evening meal in the restaurant which like the room was excellent value. Would recommend the hotel for anyone passing through. We have stayed here several times en route.
We would only stay here when passing as Miranda de Ebro does not have a lot to recommend it.
The old world building tastefully converted from a convent into a hotel with high vaulted ceilings. A picturesque and quiet location with gardens and trees. At least 4 occupied stork's nests within the grounds. Wireless network available throughout with a good signal. Just a few minutes walk to the river and bridges, the old town and numerous tapas bars. Free parking on site.
It may not suit the very elderly and infirm as the convent hotel is on rising ground.
A very grand building with comfortable rooms.
WIFI was not available in the room
no wifi in room !
Good location. Interesting old building with character.
We booked a Junior Suite. On arrival were told not available as they had problems !! Although advertised wi-if was not accessible and staff did not know security codes to enable use. No ability to get Drink of any description. Hotel restaurant did not open until very late and there were no restaurants open in the town open either. When checking out the hotel tried to overcharge us for the lesser room and it took a lot of time to resolve this. Avoid this hotel like the plague.
The historical architecture, the value for money and the excellent breakfast
Second time we have stayed here, staff helpfully provided a local map of the town and marked restaurants as the hotel was not serving food.
the convento is very nice.
We hear a noise the hole night under our rome.Amachine??It was not the airco.
