Receptionist was friendly and spoke a little english. The room was well furnished, very comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. We were impressed with the overall standards for a Hostel, better than some Hotels we have stayed in. Quite a walk into town but the roman aquaduct was very impressive, especially with the storks nesting on top, and that was only a few minutes walk away. A little difficult to find but then our satnav let us down. There was a cafe but we didn't try it. Free parking right outside the hostel. Good value for money.
The family room was great. It was spacious and had the best quality beds I have seen in any hotel. We all slept very well.
The breakfast lacked variety or quality and is not worth the time. There are no views from the windows and the surrounding suburb not that great to see anyway.
Easy car parking. Wireless quality. Bed confort.
Little and blocked windows, no natural light. Our bed cover was dirty and some dust near bed head.
Everything was cool. Nice and clean room. Good location, not far from the highway. Free parking. Good price. Like a tri stars hotel quality.
Insulation in walls poor. Noise travelled between rooms. Had a poor nights sleep.
New, fresh and clean. Friendly staff. Just round the corner from one of the Roman acquaducts and bridge. Quiet. Three very nice and non-touristy bars not far away with very friendly barmen/owners and cheap and substantial suppers and breakfasts and good beers - you don't need to walk into town for food and drink
Room a bit small for everything in it. All rooms are on the ground flo or - mine faced onto a footpath so it's difficult to have the window open, though there is a grill. To me the room felt a bit institutional, but it was certainly very comfortable for the price.
This is a very decent Hostal, not a hotel but the rooms are good and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The café served decent food in the evening at modest cost.
The usual problems with Spanish Hostals, a single long rock hard bolster, and no sink plugs, but we expect this and take our own plug and a couple of decent pillows. The Continental breakfast was very limited but costs little. The coffee was good.
Clean and new hostel with great facilities and excellent staff. The best I stayed in whilst in Spain.
Easy parking. Good clean facilities. Everything worked well.Pleasant walk into town where there is lots to see.
Nice clean modern hotel with free parking on doorstep.Staff could not speak a word of English;but we got by on sign language (bit like playing charades) and we knew we were in the real Spain. The British tourists who by-pass Merida have missed a gem.A Mercedona supermarket is a 200 yard walk from hotel with a bar adjacent.
