when we arrived the owner took us to the room, full with paintings of naked exotic women, we thought it was very funny but he told us that not everybody appreciated it ;). the place is in the centre, close to everything!
we thought we reserved a parking spot because we arrived by car. When we arrived there was no parking spot available because at the parking they told us the hostal lost a parkingpass or something, very inconvenient for us. It turned out that the street nextdoor had free parking where we were lucky to find a free spot. Make sure if you arrive by car to confirm the parking on time.
5 minutes from the mosk
Very cold!!! Heater is symbolic No hot water
In a great location, just outside the town walls so you can escape the hordes of tourists. Really nice hosts, small but comfortable rooms.
Only one power point in the room, but the owner gave us an extension cord so we could use the power point in the bathroom.
great location, convenient car park, good value
Close from everything. Fernando is welcoming and helpfull at every hours of the day !
Very friendly and helpful family! Breakfast option worth it as they bring you more out if you like
Nice patio, rooms and most of all location.
The owner could speak better English :)
A hostal where speaks english!!! It's a nice surprise in Spain!
The bed was uncomfortable, other guests were very noisy :/
Very nice staff Comfortable bed
The room was too warm, no air condition and the fun didn't work. And there were some ants inside the bathroom
Friendly staff, good location and room was clean.
very close to parking-public garage (hotel provides discount for public garage) and close to old town tourist locations
Alcazar Hostel is really situated near the Jewish Quaortier, close to Mezquita.
Obsolete rooms, but , please notice, they are very clean
Very close to the mosque and shops and the bridge. The owner was so nice and so funny too! Definitely recommend.
Cleanliness, very good location!!
one of the staff can't speak English. So, quite hard to communicate.
Excellent location (Alcazar, Mosque, river, bus stop), very serviceable staff, the building is so beautiful with that yard, spacious and aerated room, with good furniture.
Staff were sometimes hard to find. Bed's headboard with tendency to fall on people in the bed. Apart from that, everything excellent !
The hostel is close to the parking of the mezquita, very close to the alcazar and the owner was very friendly, recommending places to eat and visit. The location is beautiful.
Everything ok for that small price, but I'd like more cleaning of the room.
The location was very central, and the room was very nice and quiet located in lower floor.
Fernando, the host, is very friendly and helpful. You could not find a better location, quiet yet in the centre of everything and right next to the mesquita, with parking available a minute away.
When we arrived, there was nobody at the reception. Later we found the patriarch in a towel in a back room and the son in the street between the 2 parts of the property. Seems he is there because it's the only place where the wifi signal could be found. Needless to say we didn't get internet that night. As weary travelers we didn't fancy squatting in the streets like him. The Hostal's location is great; near the Mezquita and other sites and restaurant. The room we had was quite big with private bath, air-con, tv, table and chairs, and a sofa.
The sofa is probably a sofa-bed to turn the room into a triple. But my husband commented that it's most likely voted to be bedbug central. The rest of the room wasn't exactly dirty but could probably use more maintenance. The towels look clean but there were no toiletries. We didn't dare use the blankets in the wardrobe. Lucky we brought our own. It is family run with the women folk doing the cleaning in the morning but also looking after the kids. Toys were strewn at the reception. Everything is messy there, including a backroom with the electronics, with wires running all over the place. That part of the property was dark and dingy but the part on the other side of the street was bright, airy and has lots of beautiful flowers. We had cheaper and nicer hostal on our trip.
Very close / into the historic city centre. Wel maintained and cosy rooms
the bathroom /shower was very small.
Good location and friendly, helpful owner. Excellent value. Simple room with bathroom.
The location is great, very close from everything you want to see in Cordoba. The owner is very nice and helpful! I would recommend to stay there.
