Hostal Alfarero  

The owners made a great effort to make my stay comfortable. The hotel was perfectly situated to view all the ancient sites. It was most convenient to shops and restaurants. I really enjoyed my stay there and I would book it again and will recommend it to my friends

lovely room, quiet, great shower

I loved all the ceramics in the hostal.Our bags were carried up as I had to go and park the car and my travel companion had leg, back and arm problems.

This hotel was in a great location and the staff was very friendly. We arrived late in the afternoon were given lots of good recommendations for places to eat and have a drink. The man working at the desk offered to take our bags to our room or show us around if we had any questions. The rooms were good sized and comfortable.

Parking is really difficult near the hotel

Juan el recepcionista, un tipo muy simpatico y que nos dio un par de recomendaciones para ir a cenar. El hostal esta en pleno centro y es muy facil andar a todos los sitios turisticos. Si buscas un sitio decente y centrico este es una buena eleccion. Juan, the receptionist, was very nice and gave us a few recommendations for dinner that were pretty good. The hostel is in the centre of the city which makes it very easy to walk to all the tourist places. If you're looking for a decent place in a central location this is a good choice.

El baño olía muy fuerte a cañerías viejas. The plumbing must be a bit old and the pipes have quite a strong smell in the bathroom.

Location, cleanness, decoration, and the opportunity the staff gave us to have a pick nick on the courtyard. Each room has the necessary things, with the bonus of decoration! It feels like we where on a family house. We had no breakfast, so we can't give any clue about this ;)

On the hostel - room are small for too many people. We booked one for four, and it was not a good choice... Not the hostels fault, but never the less: parking is a nightmare. And public parks are too expensive.

We recommend "Entrecanas - Bar de Tapas", near Trajano's Arch.

Lovely building. Comfortable room. Close to main sights and in middle of town.

Couldn't park anywhere near it. No breakhafast. Not all the staff had any english or french.

Great location - a few steps from the anfitheatre. Big room for just 44 Euro a night (2 persons). 24 h reception. Many tv channels, small fridge for water and some food.

Great location near to major Roman ruins.

Location, beautiful hallway and staircase in old house and friendliness of staff

Best hotel in this price range in Merida. Ultra convenient location for visiting the Roman archaeological sites and museum. The staff are helpful and friendly and the hotel itself has some style - not just a bland place to sleep cheap. My room had a mini-fridge which was great for keeping a few snacks and chilling water bottles before going out for the day. I will definitely return the next time I visit Merida.

the position in centre of town,courtyard area ,quiet location ( in may)

no parking as it is in pedestrianised area ,however parking is fairly near and free

Centrally located, lovely bright colours and tiles throughout the hotel. Pleasant central patio/courtyard Would highly recommend as a very good value comfortable for a stay in Merida.

My rom was very comfortable and quite large and nicelydecorated. The location was not noisy and very near to many of the Roman restorations..

Staff, rooms, garden and location!

There are sound between rooms and hallway so rooms at groundfloor(reception) should be avioided since there are a lot of noise in the morning hours.
