Good value , best place to stay in Barcelona , close to the metro station (5 min) , bus station , 1 bus for the beach and one for the city centre , supermarket very close , very good buffet restaurant at 5 min walk , safe neighbourhood , clean room , AC , free wireless access , very kind and helpful staff , will stay here again and definitely will recommend this place

A lovely hostel with well-equipped kitchen. The working staff was friendly and helpful.

I liked everything!!! Very good place to stay!!! I recommend for everyone who aims to stay in Barcelona for a short period!!!

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The bedroom although basic, was tidy and clean. My wife and I were impressed that, even though it is a hostel, our bed linen was tidied and remade each day. The air conditioning in our bedroom worked and was a real plus. The kitchen facilities were excellent. Other guests were friendly and it was great to mix and talk with other nationalities in the kitchen. My wife and I felt safe and secure. The location was fine; three metro stops from Placa de Catalunya. There were plenty of neighbourhood shops; restaurants, bakers, supermarkets etc. My wife and I would recommend Hotel Alogar without hestitation.

We arrived late at night yet after phoning, the ever friendly matron stayed up with the sole intent of letting us in. We were promptly shown to our warm and cleanly room where we quickly dozed off. Upon rising and hitting the shared bathrooms (there are a multitude of them), I myself experienced possibly the best shower I´ve ever appreciated. The living room and kitchen were both equally excellent. On the whole an exceptional establishment and we would go again in a heartbeat.

Really good price for a twin room with shared bathroom. The room and the bathroom were superclean. Luckily my girlfriend an I got the twin room without the column between the 2 beds, so we could just push the beds together :-d el precio para una habitacion doble era muy bueno. la habitacion y el bano compartido eran superlimpio. para la proxima vez voy a tomar este hostal otra vez.

People renovated a room next to our room and produced a lot of noise, but only during the day (start at 10 o glock) and not at the weekend.

Clean as in hospital, very calm, good location with many markets and public transport nearby. Friendly staff. Perfectly equipped kitchen. Good showers. Will stay here everytime I come to Barcelona.

Quite small room with no windows. But this is a minor drawback.

Very nice people, and extremely clean room

Very poor standards, not great value for money either. Rooms reminding of school trips and the land lady only makes sure you feel that way..she was actually shhhhing us not to make noice even though we only had a chat in the room..toilet/bathroom to share in the corridor. I would never recommend this place to anybody. 2/10 (and 2 is only for fairly clean room)
