2nd stay here. Still very cheap and close enough to the centre of the city to walk in a few minutes but in an area (Plaza De Espana) which is much less crowded.
As it was soon to become an exclusive residence for students the staff thought it was OK to just knock on my door and open it instantly to show prospective students the room. Not OK in my book. Also bed had springs sticking out of it and nothing was done about it - despite asking politely.
Excellent location and comfort
I got bitten by bed bug
Really great location just off the Plaza de España in the NW of the historic center; breakfast included; has an elevator; room had a window that opened out onto the street; low price to stay in Madrid; very clean and generally quiet atmosphere
Although the reception is on the ground floor of the apartment block, there are no signs or labeling outside that it's a hostel; you have to leave your key at the front desk and pick it up again every time you come and go; the dorm room for 4 was very tiny; the wooden floorboards in my room were really creaky (annoying at night); the WCs were literal closets they were so small
They did not take credit card because they thought one night rate was very small money. Moreover they never keep your luggage during daytime.
More oriented to students. Reasonable price for the price paid. Excellent location.
location is very good, near to city centre, and good price.
the staff there is not so friendly
Staff unfriendly and bedbugs which ruined my stay!
center of the city chip clean
no locked boxes...you cannot lock your stuff
The location is very good, and the breakfast is good too. Low price.
I got there 9 in the morning, but I couldn't put my luggage in the hostel, so I have to bring my stuff to go everywhere, it's not convenient at all! And the male staff's attitude is not pleasing me (the female one, during night time, is very good).
had the basic essentials and room was spacious
the extreme shouting, noises and banging on the walls and doors during the night from other fellow residents and no one from the reception came to stop them + the sink in the room was leaking.
Very cheap and close enough to the centre of the city to walk in a few minutes but in an area (Plaza De Espana) which is much less crowded.
