Los 4 pisos q teníamos q subir y la limpieza no era de lo mejor.

Hostal Campi had the perfect location. It was right by the main plaza and just off La Rambla (one of the main attractions in Barcelona). THere were fantastic restaurants and shops all around. It was also right near the Cathedral and the Barri Gotic. It was simple and comfortable and a great, reasonably-priced option for Barcelona. I would definitely recommend it

Some stuff don't understand English normally. When I've got allergy in the evening the man couldn't even say where is the nearest pharmacy!

It was very clean. Staff was helpful.

No elevator, if you have a big luggage you are in trouble, not easy to climb 4 floors.

Staff were friendly, polite. Was simple and easy to check in, no fuss at all. The place was spotless all the time, daily service of beds being made never disturbed us. Shared bathroom was not an issue at all, as there was a toilet, shower room and bath/shower room right outside our door. Amazing central location for the price, literally 10 seconds off La Rambla and two minutes from Placa Catalunya, made it really easy to get around (e.g. bus to/from airport from placa catalunya and metro so close). Basic, tasteful, clean and friendly. It was perfect!

Great location, in the center of the city. Very helpful stuff and a 24h reception. Although we had a shared bathroom it was as clean as it would be if it was private!! On the check out day, they can keep your luggage someplace until 8 in the afternoon. We would definitely stay there again!

We stayed on the 4th floor and there was no elevator but that wasn't a problem at all for us.

Very clean and quiet. Reasonably priced for city centre No queuing for toilets or showers. Very good central location. Always someone on duty. Very comfortable beds. I stayed here about eight years ago and was pleased to find it was as good as last time.

Not suitable for anyone unable to climb stairs. Our room was on the 4th floor. (91 steps!) We didn't mind as it kept us fit.

The bed was not very soft. Older bones need softer beds!

Location and friendly staff

The rooms are big,clean and comfortable.The shared bathrooms don't really feel like shared ones.So do not be bothered.The staff speaks excellent english and is very helpful.Practically in La Rambla,the most famous street in Barca.

The hotel has no lift and I guess the rooms start from the 3rd floor.A bit inconvenient if one has luggage.

The rooms and shared bathrooms were very clean...rooms cleaned every day which is great for a hostel.

Great location, very close to aerobus service. Works perfectly for an overnight layover, and since there is 24 hour front desk service, the time of your arrival is not an issue. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Very different from most hostals as you have to surrender your room key to the desk staff whenever leaving the hostal and must be rang back in through the front door when returning, but at least this gives extra piece of mind that your luggage is safe. Also, was blown away and very grateful for the fact that the staff allowed us to store luggage in the hostal for the entire day even after we had checked out. The bed in the room was the most comfortable I had slept in during my 2 month trek through Europe, and the room was immaculately clean. Located in an alleyway branching off of La Rambla, it is great for its proximity to the busy street while being much quieter than a hotel located directly off of La Rambla. Very pleased with Hostal Campi!

Shared bathroom and shower are always a bit of a bummer, but these were much nicer and cleaner than any other hostal I have stayed in, so don't let this deter you.

Great location, just off The Ramblas and very clean indeed. This typical Spanish Hostal is well run and the friendly, informative staff made us welcome.

My only criticism would be that it needs a bit of updating and a makeover, but then it would probably double the price. The shared bathrooms were thoroughly clean and well stocked, although the showers (hand held attached to the wall) tended to fly off the wall when you turned the water on.
