Located in the city centre, this guest house is 280 metres from the train station and the Railway Museum. Hostal Can Gatell features a restaurant and rooms with free Wi-Fi. Can Gatell is located in Vilanova i La Geltrú, 20 minutes’ drive from Sitges and 45 minutes’ drive from the centre of Barcelona. Couldn't call this place a hostal, more a hotel. By far the cleanest accomodation we have experienced in Spain. Shutter made for an easy sleep in. We were next to the elevator so it as a little noisy. Can't help the location of the room

The hostal staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful. Can Gatell is only a couple of blocks from the train station and the Rambla Principal, which was convenient. My room was small, but clean and just adequate. The buffet breakfast was fine with a good selection of items from croissant to corn flakes to ham and cheese.. There were no limits on quantity, but the price was on the high side -- 9 euros. Overall, I rate Can Gatell as adequate. I had asked for a room on a lower floor for health reasons, but was put in the end room on the fourth floor. It was hot, not air conditioned and noisy. The overhead fan just could not cool the room sufficiently, so the balcony door had to be kept open all night and that let in street noise and light from the Vilanova navigational beacon -- three flashes at five second intervals. The end of July 2012 was hot and muggy. I did not ask for a change of room because I feared that the interior rooms would not be much better. There are undoubtedly better accommodations in Vilanova, but probably not at the price I paid.

The hostel was very close to the train station, its a short walk to the Rambla and lots of restaurants. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Rooms were simple but clean, our room had a balcony which was great. Our room didn't have air con which made it very warm on the night.

Very clean....location was close to everything for us. I didnt realize we would have no air conditioning in our room. Loud dogs barking all hours of the nite. Loud traffic noise!

Limpio y adecuado para dormir, el personal muy amables y simpáticos, la relación calidad/precio es muy buena. No tiene aire acondicionado y el parking esta lejos de las instalaciones, a unos minutos del hostal andando.

La gentillesse du personnel des receptinistes , les chambres sont trés propres le petit déjeuner abondant et raffiné ,hotel trés central par raport à la ville on peut tout faire à pied . Je conseille cet hotel . Pour garer le véhicule c'est pas le top et la rue est trés étroite .Le parking proposé par l'hotel est trop loing .
