The staff were friendly.Room was basic, but we were only sleeping there for the night. Really cheap, so what can you ask for.
They all spoke Spanish, which is to be expected in Spain, but it's a hostel! Which to many people would suggest some element of other languages needed to be spoken.
The jazz club below the room and the music coming from it with the poor sound isolation
Good place, close to pg. De Gracia.. Alot of good places to eat, minimarkets, shops, bakeries, coffeeshops, clubs... The room wad big, eaven changed by staff to suite our neefs, balcony , outside garden, clean everithing :)
We could use a table in the room, suitable for eating.. We eat each night on the bed. And some shelves or somecind of furniture in the bathroom to put a toothpaste, comb etc. We took the litlle one with weels from the dormitory in the bathroom so we could put towels and other accesories. Weri thin walls...we could hear the next door neibours sing and chat as if they where in the room with us.
Location, and room size, Nothing else.
The hostel is on a main road so everymorning we were woke up at 5am with very loud traffic, and I mean VERY LOUD. This was not helped by that the building itself is very noisy at night, and the 3 nights we were there - there were parties going on upstairs until2-3am which could be separate from the hostel (this building was 4 stories/floors, and I believe the hostel is only 1 floor?) Obviously Barcelona is not a cheap city, and this is the most expensive hostel I have ever stayed in.
-Area is central and close to downtown -Staff is friendly and helpful -Nice old building with high ceilings
Quite noisy at night due to other guests
The room Location Wifi
Reception speaking no English Price
Everything. Noisy, smelly, ugly, poor, expensive
At the city center. The lady in charge of the rooms lentils umbrella when it was raining.
I was charges more than the original price for my booking. I booked for energy suite bathroom bit they said it costs additional. I just paid what they asked for. Only bathtub but no shower stall. Shower in bathtub had to be handheld all the time with no rack to adjust it's height. I told the lady in charge of the rooms to put some more soap in the dispenser since it was almost empty but she never did. Staff hardly speaks English.
The hostel is really near the plaza and la rambla. Air conditioner works well.
The staff doesn't speak English , it's quite noisy during night time as it's on one of the busy street. The tv is not working at all.
nice interior, comfortable bed and bathroom, easy access to the center of city
weak wi-fi in the room, poor english of staff
Everything, noisy neighbors, old furniture, dirty. At the reception do not speak English. I think the pictures on the booking are taken at another hotel, nothing like what they offer. Very expensive for what you find there.
Staff is very nice. First I just rent the double room, but she gives us the double room with one more extra bed for my baby and has very beautiful view also.
-Elevator is very old. -Staff speaks only spanish, so it is not convenience to ask information.
Location was terrible the staff didn't speak English at all. This was a big drawback. the room was small and uncomfortable the TV was old and didn't work not that we wanted to watch TV, Maybe OK for younger travelers .
Good location, very clean! Excelent for the price!
Room with bath too small there are no many People at reception and only spanish talk
Location was good for public transport to see most of the sights we wanted to see.
- Wifi was very intermittent and most times not available in the room - Air Conditioner turned into a waterfall several times, sometimes when it wasn't even turned on
location is close to the city happenings, only few blocks away from Catalunya Square and many attractions. The hotel is clean and quiet even the shared bathroom is very clean.
Staffs can hardly speak English and internet was on and off at the time we were there.
The staff was ok and the location wasn't bad at all.
Very noisy place!!! Air conditioning not working! The rooms looked like some old soviet hospital. No door handle, shared bathroom with an entire floor, elevator door was blocked on the lower floor and I got stuck in there. Not too clean either and no light in my room.
The location of the hostel is very good, the room was always clean. I think this is a valuable price for the rooms.
Poor wifi connection also the staff could be a bit more professional.
Beautiful building (nine hundred years old!), with gorgeous stonework, tiles, etc. Easy walk to stores, restaurants, metro, sights. Beds were comfortable, clean. There was air conditioning and a refrigerator. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Pretty spare accommodations -- for example, no mirror in the bathroom, not much surface area to place items. Wifi was pretty slow. Near the head of the bed, the wall switchplate kept falling off, revealing live wires.
very good value for money, big room and good location
The second floor but the first floor was way better looking
Location was walkable from the main tourist areas. Bus stop right outside. However the metro was a few blocks away.
Rooms was very small and not too comfortable. Small bathroom. Bed was not big enough for two people! No toiletries. Not worth the money we spent.
Good location Clean and simple but quiet and discreet
Weak WiFi at 1st floor
too noisy from the street
