The owner was unbelieveble rude. Apart of many examples I experienced, once, I forgot to close the light of the bathroom, she went in front of the switch, and she asked me to go infront of her and turn it off!! It was so humiliating. She changed the time of the check-in two times and then she ordered to go exactly at 2:00pm otherwise she would let me outside!! The narrow street is located smelled pee so badly. Also, I couldn't sleep at nights because of the noises of outside. Soundproofing below zerow. I can't explain how this place still working, but definitely don't even think about staying there. Better give 10 euros more and go somewhere else.
The only advantage of the hostel was its location.
It is impossible to find anyone in the hostel when you have a problem. None of the people who are working in the hostel knows English. The toilets and bath were very dirty. The air conditioner was not working. In sum, the hostel was a real disappointment.
Smoky smell in entrance
-Rosa, the lady who owns the apartment went out of her way to make our stay comfortable, offer restaurant suggestions, be flexible with late arrival etc. - Location is perfect for exploring the city, everything central is within easy walking distance; lots of cafes and places to eat nearby - Rooms are basic, but it is very good value for money and we spent hardly any time in the room anyway
- The street, although appears to be just a small alleyway, is quite noisy until late at night and already very early in the morning.
The location is really great and central.
If you want some comfort and rest, you should stay elsewhere. We had the “biggest & nicest” room at this hostel with the private bathroom. Our shower hook was broken and to take a shower, you would have to hold the shower head the entire time. We complained to the owner and got the typical “Manana” response. Needless to say it was never fixed. Also, it wasn’t draining very well and would overflow if you didn’t pay attention and turn it off in time to let it drain. Lastly, the hostel has really old single pane windows and it gets REALLY loud in the room when the swarms of drunken tourists would pass by the windows (which would happen very often) or when the cleaning crews would wash the street at 5-6 a.m.
the place was very clean. We could come and go when ever we like. Bakery are very close to the pension
the beds are too short there was no tresor, things are not save there and wouldn`t stay there again; very noisy during the evening, night and early morning. The entrance was hard too find and took us over 1 hour
Very good location, next to the La Rambla and Barri Gothic. Very friendly owner. Good value for this location and en suite hostel.
A bit noisy from the street because of poorly isolated windows.
location and staff
very difficult to find, taxi could not get close and took us on a "Ride" and dropped us off giving us wrong directions. Entrance very confusing walked past it several times it looked abandoned.
Not much. The location is good
The cage covering the balcony, felt like a jail cell. It was near impossable to manouver in the toilet and shower room.
It s near metro and shopping center.
Cannot conect wifi at my private room
The location was perfect as I wanted to be in the gothic area of the city. Querky, arty.
Being a lite sleeper you here all on the street below. Although there are other bedroom's not on the street.
Located literally in the middle of El Gotic: few steps from the Cathedral, Placa Catalunya, and Placa Jaume. Friendly owner, spacious rooms. Even lack of elevator doesn't make it less convenient. I will certainly stay there again.
The size of the bathrooms is too small, almost like an airplane!
the perfect location
Rosa the host was very hospitable but I was told I could only use the airconditioning after 10pm even during siesta time in 32 degree heat. The bed was also very uncomfortable and the bathroom was inadequate.
It was very clean there, and the location is just perfect.
Location - Gothic district, just nearby the Rambla
