Score from 307 reviews Very good
- AC - close to the train station - clean bathroom
- small room - lack of windows, there is only one tiny window with the view of the yard
We got in very early on our flight. We stopped by the hostel about 6 hours before check-in time, hoping to be able to drop off our bags, but the room was ready and we were able to get into it pretty early in the morning, and it helped us enjoy the experience of Madrid much more.
The location is a 5 minute walk to the main train station Atocha and the art museum Reina Sofia. The hostal is quiet, in fact you might think no one is even staying there. Very clean and for the price if you are just in need of a central place to for a couple of days this place is perfect.
Nothing this hostel is perfect!
The reasonable price is the first thing in the city centre. It is close to the subway station and you can also walk to the museum, etc. The staff are really nice as well, and they can give you suggestion on anything you want: very very nice. Besides, I enjoyed very good wifi in my room and it is quite quiet even though I am on the road side. Thanks a lot. =）
down hill road
Location near Atocha train station - it was significant point for me and friends because we had a night in apartments and had to leave to train station in the morning, apt-s were nearby so it was no need to get a taxi to train station (walked with luggage with no problem). Wi-fi. Can buy water on reception (we checked in almost at midnight and no shops worked at that time).
Price/quality is ok, apt-s are very old, old (but comfortable and clean) bed, strange loud conditioner that turned on and off when it wants with no ability to be controlled by you :) - be carefull, it blows very seriously :) but friends in other room did not have such problem. Venerable aged senior on reception does not speak English. You hear EVERY NOISE made by your neighbors - flushing water, tv, voices, etc. hard to get sleep when the other room washes in shower and watches tv all night long!!!
This Hostel was located very close to Atocha railway station and the Prado museum and many restaurants and bars. The staff were very friendly and helpful . We had a quiet room that was comfortable and very clean. Good value for money.
very friendly staff
Close to the train station.
Location was hard to find
Very close to Atocha train station and convenient for our early AVE train to Seville.
Very near from Atocha st.
The staff were extremely helpful and able to give assistance. It was very convenient to be so near to the Atocha station and other amenities. We would be happy to recommend it.
1.Although some staff are not good in English, they're all helpful. 2. Mr. David Cordoba is excellent and speak very good English. He responds to request promptly and in a positive manner which impressed me most. 3. The hostal didn't charge guest before check-in. 4. Location is close to Atocha Train Stn. and Sofia Art Museum. Thank you for assistance of Mr. David Cordoba.
1. Too close to highway, very noisy if not shut the window and acoustic blind. 2. Air conditioning not working while I stay, preferred opened window for better ventilion, really noisy 3. Only supply limited shampoo and shower gel upon request. All in all, a very good hostal, service might cover the shortcoming if you don't mind the noise.
Great location, friendly staff, excellently priced rooms.
Room smelled strongly of tobacco smoke, especially in the shower.
This is the first hotel i live that when i arrive in Madrid. The location is in the middle of Atocha renfe and Atocha subway, really convenient. The landlord family is really nice.
Very good location, nice staff, clean and comfortable. Very good for a city trip and food and so on. I like to come and come again.
all staffs are very kind and the room is very clean, also from the sol square, it tooks only 5 minutes by taxi(the charge was 7 EUR) so it is ok to enjoy the restaurant or pub in sol square until mid-night or after that
Great clean, warm, safe, basic hostel - close to Reina Sofia and Atocha if you're overnighting before train
A tad on the far side of Atocha if you're looking to be heading out in Las Huertas - otherwise no complaints
Room with bathroom was really fair, we were two and it was comfortable. It was clean, and soundproof from outside. Staff is really really nice !
But noisy from inside, doors are not good soundproofed so you hear people steps and laughs :) Meaculpa
Easy to find, good price
Not very central
Budget hostal freshly painted, spotless, new bathroom. We needed accomm. close to PTA. Atocha station, this hostal was perfect. Managers very friendly and helpful. We appreciated warning at time of booking that wifi available only in reception area, in the end we did have a connection in our room
Stuff. Late night welcoming.
Very friendly and helpful staff; and the hotel is located at a convenient location
Room was a bit small
My partner was terribly poorly and the staff were wonderful, thank you.
Hot water kept running cold in the shower one had to be patient!
