Clean and nice room. The hotel was good located and close to bars and shops.

The wifi didn't work in the room, we had to go to the reception area.

Clean, friendly, quiet, efficient, central and very good value.

They don't have no smoking rooms, so room smelled of stale smoke.

Wonderful location in the wall of the city. Easy walking to sites. The red bus tour stop was just up the street and around the corner a short way, so this helped! Staff didn't speak very much English but were very helpful. I would still stay here if I were to return.

Noise.....a tourist city that doesn't sleep until the wee hours of the morning. Our room over looked a small square, but hey, noise is just a part of life. Hotel in the picture is not the building we were in. Seems that there are two different buildings so this seemed a bit of bait and switch, but we did win. The picture shows the "el Rastro" with outside dining which that one did have. Had we stayed there the noise level would have been more and for much later into the night.

Value for money and location were excellent, would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Avila. Definitely the best accommodation we had in 3weeks traveling in Spain.

    No WIFI in the rooms.

    Location and cleanliness.

Did not get room with balcony as promised during booking (nor with any views) and no breakfast was available.

Finally a fantastic tasteful, authentic and NEW, not tired and worn interior that you often meet even at higher prices. We booked a Hostal El Rastro but I cannot believe that what we stayed at was a hostel, it was too superb. They have done a great job at remodeling the rooms and giving them a quaint authentic flavour. Clean surfaces, lovely wood everywhere, great views from our room, everything is top notch. Very tastefully done, lots of effort on behalf of the designer can be seen. I was amazed to see it was the cheapest option available to find online in Avila which was why we booked, it expecting an old room with a creaking bed and peeling walls. Out of our two weeks in Spain this was by far the best stay of the mid-range priced hotels we stayed at. What a class. A treat of a stay. Didn't get much in contact with the staff, can't add anything there.

Leaving, knowing that such stay at such price cannot be repeated.
