Located on the sunny Costa del Sol, this hotel is set just off the seafront promenade in the quiet resort of Torre del Mar.
Score from 192 reviews Good
The location was very near the sea. The bar on site was excellent .
The location was excellent. Very near sea and facilities. Food very good and reasonably priced.
Clean simple accommodation in good location - right across the road from the beach.
Some local activity noise - but having said that, it was noce to watch the 'locals' go about their daily business.
Excellent room position facing sun-rise. Beach & pool view. Friendly staff. Excellent room service.
most things the food in the restaurant was good big helpings had a sea view with a balcony so could see the sun rise beautifull
the only problem was a waterproof matress cover and as it was hot was not that comfortable the second night we took it off
Quiet area & close to the sea. The hostel has a very good bar/cafe serving a wide selection of tapas & raciones. There is a good sized pool and terraces plus parking.
A shelf in the shower would useful.
Cleanliness of the rooms, friendliness of the staff, location across the road from the beach, quiet location in a small Spanish resort, basic room and only a one star hotel but ideal for the price
swimming pool, proximity to the beach, restaurant at the hotel
very simple hotel, no services beyond clean room + swimming pool, but that can be enough for some days at the beach with small children
Easy access to beach. Clean room. Nice pool.
Shabby sun loungers and umbrellas at pool. Minimal comforts. Very 1970s feel to upholstery. Very few attractions or eating establishments in area.
The pool was clean and quite large with sun beds and umbrellas. The breakfast in the restaurant was good and one waitress was quite friendly and helpful.
I chose this based on other reviews but I do not like the town. It was full of people mainly locals who were not friendly, hardly anyone spoke English and when I did they just looked at me strangely. The beach was crowded not as much as down at Malaga but still crowded. Also the hotel restaurant does not have a meal of the day any more in fact the small bowl of soup I had was 5.50 euros and it was not good - no bread provided with it either. The bed was very hard, no hot water one morning and no reception person speaking English to assist. I heard the person next door snoring loudly all night!
Our flight was a night flight and therefore we had to get out of the villa we had been staying in, so I booked a room for the night to store luggage for 10 people so that we could also shower and change before leaving Spaing. Very good value for money. Excellent location.
Language barrier at Reception.
Loved this place wanted a quite relaxed holiday and it ticked every box. We had booked to stay 7 days and arrived a day earlier they never said anything untill we were checking out. We were staying 8 days but they were fine about it. Had a few problems as neither of us spoke spanish and staff spoke very little english. We still had a great time
Very sweet hotel ... Across the street from an almost empty beach (in July!!!), great restaurant in front, beautiful ocean view from our balcony. Parrots in the trees, lovely helpful staff (although little English spoken), secure parking behind a closed gate, or on street ... What's not to like?
Until we figured out the air-conditioning, the room was a little warm ... Look for the remote to adjust temperature and you'll be fine.
Great location, helpful staff, good food . Our flight was at night and they were happy for us to stay until 8 pm for no extra charge.
The only negative is we could have done with another pillow !
We enjoyed our stay. Very quiet location. A perfect traditional restaurant/pub with the locals. Affordable food. Place feels safe.
The sliding door to balcony couldn't be locked (lock broken) but it has shutters. Front door shuts but I couldn't lock. Otherwise place feels safe and keeps good security.
Cosy hotel in a nice quiet place on the beach. Friendly staff. Free parking for the guests. Cafe-reustarant is open from early morning until late night without siesta. Nice swimming pool on the territory equipped with sun-beds and parasols.
WiFi is quite weak, so access to the Internet sometimes may be a problem. It would be better if rooms were equipped with at least small refrigerator. Only one lady from the reception staff speaks English.
We enjoyed the nice swimming pool, local atmosphere and the beautiful beach right next to the hostel. Staff was friendly - Which helped as both our skills in Spanish language, and theirs in English, were very limited. The restaurant was good, as demonstrated by the number of locals present at the bar.
The stuff was very friendly. We had a problem with our rented car and they helped us to manage the situation with our provider (none of us speaks Spanish fluently). Apart from that, the place is very clear, there's a private parking (free of charge) and it's 2 minutes walk from the beach.
Easy to find coming from Malaga airport. Good size (family) room. Free parking space behind closed fence. Friendly staff. Good location near the beach. Very nice hot shower.
Staff doesn't speak any other language than spanish. The beds had very firm matrasses and pillows.
Location was good on the seafront. It also had private parking. A good typical Spanish bar/restaurant was attached to the hotel, full of locals and provided a traditional Spanish menu. Good as a stopover.
There was obviously NO soundproofing between rooms when building was constructed. It would be very noisy in peak season, but as very few staying whilst we were there it was not too bad.
nice location - sea front little restaurant is good
during winter time the room can be cold at night time - no heating
