Great location and fair price, clean and quiet enough at nights.
The conditioner hardly worked
Very good location. The room was clean and the staff very nice.
Small rooms. Quite noisy in the morning. Nothing fancy.
I was there for 5 days and i loved it. Maybe because im not high maintenance when i know much i paid. It is in the middle of the city very close to EVERYTHING. Subway just right there in front of the hotel (less then 1min walk), close enough from the port and the beach, close to supermarket and of course restaurants. It was simple but clean, fresh new towels everyday, fresh new sheets, AC. I rather choose a simple hostel thats very central, then a 3/4* hotel thats at the end of the city. Im a city person and i loved La Rambla and the city noise but if ur not think twice before u choose this place. Thanx God i wasnt bothered by the noises from the other rooms. :P
Poor wifi. If ur in the lobby its very good, if ur in the room not that good. I was surprised to find out that i had to pay cash especially when i send an email 1 week before asking if everything was ok with the payment. Nobody answered and its not cool because i was traveling before i got there and i didnt had access to my bank account. So make sure u get enough cash with u.
The location of the hotel the staff were friendly and helpful
The noise....no internet in the rooms
Location. The water supply is quite abundant. It's clean.
There was only one socket in the room. Wifi does not reach the room in the 4th floor. Staffs are just fairly accomodating. You can hear the noise from outside if someone is coming up or going down the stairs. Locking and opening the door makes a lot of noise.
Excellent Location, close to everything. Nice people working there , so helpful.
we had two double bed instead of one queen bed!
No windows and very drab.
The location was the only thing I really liked.
Wifi doesn't work in your room, only in the common area downstairs and they shut it off at midnight. Ridiculous. Bugs in my room. Very over priced for the room you get (I had a private).
Location was great. In the middle of the action and very close to Metro stop.
Ninety eight dollars for a room with a share bathroom didn't sound so bad until you realized there is one bathroom for like 10 rooms! This room was probably worth 25$. The place looks dirty. The towels looks like cleaning rags.
Amazing location, really good shower, easy to find and to get to.
Rude staff, very noisy air conditioning, very noisy from the doors in the hotel - impossible to shut or open a door quietly, not very secure as there is only 1 room key which you have to return to front desk before leaving and on return they do not ask for name or ID to check room details. Bathroom was tiny (ensuite) had to physically straddle the toilet as the front of toilet was touching the other wall. Bed was very hard, and had one shared pillow. Only one plug in room which was being used by the aircon and one plug in the bathroom, we had a minimum of 4 chargers and luckily had taken an extension lead.
The room was dirty Bed and cushion poor quality and old Walls are so thin so the waterpipes run in the room and make a terrible noise (all hours of the night) as well as when the people next door talk or snore( in the night) you hear every sound. The room faces the passage opposite another hotel. If the guests of this hotel orthe guests of Hostal Europe chat outside (any hour of the night) we hear everything even though we closed the window. There is no curtain. Young boys use their scateboards outside and it makes a terrible noise on the cobbled paving.
location was good
the bed is hard, is to hot the ac was not close enough, the elevator is not well located and to go to my bedroom has a metal small stairs outside, no internet on the bedrooms
Cheap, right in the centre of Barcelona (next to Las Ramblas), friendly staff, very clean (including the shared bathroom).
Very spartan (no aircon, only a sink in the room), but this is to be expected from the price, so consider yourself warned.
Great location. Clean and tidy joint. air conditioning
Only one shower and toilet on our level. Long way to walk for a wizz in the middle of the night.
-Excellent location in the Latin Quarter, close to everything Barcelona is famed for. -Great staff. -Large rooms.
Great location, easy access to anywhere in the centre, very clean rooms
Big chunky room keys, made a lot of noise when opening the doors at nightime
Great location, friendly staff, cheap. Bathroom not in room but was clean.
Room stunk of cigarette smoke to the point where all my luggage soaked up the smell too.
Very close to the metro and Las Ramblas. Chris the night guy at the front desk was extremely helpful. And went above and beyond when I lost my passport... which was very helpful and appreciated as it was a hard and difficult time. Awesome coffee/espresso machine for one euro in the lobby!
Our room was hard to get to and the maps to find out where the nearest bathrooms were was difficult to follow. Also, the a/c had to have a remote and it wasn't until half way through our stay that we were able to figure it out and get a correct remote. The sketchy stairs and round about way to get to the room was scary.
We booked an ensuite room and it was perfect for our 4 days in Barcelona. Fantastic location for sightseeing, comfortable room, clean and helpful staff. Great value for money.
The noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Hardy sleep with the noise of everyone coming and going.
the location is good. If you say that ı don't interest roomy, comfortable place, you will like the romms.
rooms are very small and dark. you feel like staying in prison. It have small window and it opens to well. the bathroom is common/public.
The hostel was lovely, perfect private room with our own bathroom. The location is excellent!! Right in the centre of Barcelona. The staff were really friends land extremely helpful!
The walls are a little thin so you can hear everything but it was relatively quiet.
There was nothing positive, just a nice staff.
We did not like the general atmosphere and internal design of the hostel. It looks like a prison with a grey layer on the walls. It is a huge mistake for the marketing site,I don't think people will recommend the place to friends.I would advice to add some colours, signs, pictures.
Air-conditioning, Hello! The only hostel in France and Spain we found with a unit in the room. Just remember to ask for the remote. The best part of this hostel was the location off Las Ramblas and near the pier. As a young couple looking to walk the streets until late on a weekday - this was the place to stay. There is a common room with access to wifi and 2 computers. At the time, my boyfriend was taking an online writing course and was able to complete his assignments using hostel computers.
For a hostel, it was a little more on the pricey side, but it was worth it for the location and air-conditioning. We asked for a double bed but only twins were available. Not the biggest deal for us, but may bother some looking for a romantic get away. But at the end of the day it's a typical hostel in a convenient location.
Walkable from Catalunya. Tiny balcony capable of drying laundry. Cheap rate. Friendly staff.
No lifts. Stains on bed linen. No wifi in room, only at reception. Old fashioned furniture.
